EXCLUSIVE Trump launches intriguing new call to arms video to pass massive tax cuts in his 'big beautiful bill'
The White House drafted several members of Congress to help sell the president's 'Big Beautiful Bill' in a new video, as the deadline to pass it grows closer. The video, provided exclusively to the Daily Mail offers a window into the White House effort to move the bill through Congress by July 4th for the president to sign. Members of Congress were drafted by the president's team at the White House Congressional picnic to speak in support of the bill, highlighting why they were supporting the president's efforts. Sens. Roger Marshall of Kansas, Dave McCormick of Pennsylvania were featured in the video, as well as Reps. Chuck Fleischmann, Diana Harshbarger, Erin Houchin, and Anna Paulina Luna. The Republicans touted the bill's efforts to prevent the 'largest tax increase in history,' by extending expiring rate hikes, securing funding for border security, energy development, and tax relief, 'This is a bill for working families, working Americans,' Houchin said. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, touted the expansion of the child tax credit and savings accounts for every new child in the United States and ending tax on tips. 'This is a net positive for America,' she said. President Trump urged the Senate to keep working on the bill during his speech at the picnic. 'We're shooting for the 4th of July,' he told members of Congress. 'I think it's going to be the most important piece of legislation that our country has passed in many, many years.' The bill passed the House with a slim Republican majority vote of 215-214 and now is working its way through the Senate. Despite pressure from the president, some Republican senators are opposed to the measure, warning that it spends too much money and adds to the deficit. Sen. Rand Paul signaled his opposition to the bill telling Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo in a recent he would need more negotiations before he was willing to vote for it. 'Right now they are not negotiating with me, because they don't think they need me, so I will not be the deciding vote. The bill will not fail because of me,' he said. Senate Majority Leader John Thune can lose four Republican votes to pass the bill, provided that Vice President JD Vance can help it pass by breaking a tie. After Paul vocally criticized the bill he said he was 'uninvited' from the White House picnic, telling reporters he felt the move was 'incredibly petty.' Trump re-extended the invitation to the Senator and his family on social media. 'Of course Senator Rand Paul and his beautiful wife and family are invited to the BIG White House Party tonight,' Trump wrote, describing Paul as 'the toughest vote in the history of the U.S. Senate.' The president's signature bill struggled out of the gate to win support, especially after billionaire Elon Musk criticized the bill as a 'massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill' that was 'a disgusting abomination.' Republicans defended the measure, arguing that the tax cuts in the bill would help boost revenues for the treasury through economic growth. Congressional Democrats remain universally opposed to the legislation.

Attempts to traffic drugs in Jazan foiled
Saudi authorities have arrested two Ethiopians for violating border security regulations and attempting to traffic amphetamines in Jazan. Also in the province, authorities thwarted an attempt to smuggle 67,500 pills subject to medical circulation regulation. Initial regulatory procedures were carried out, and the confiscated items were transferred to the appropriate entities. Elsewhere, Saudi officials in the Eastern Region apprehended a citizen involved in the sale of amphetamine pills and prescription-controlled substances. The individual has been arrested, and appropriate legal measures have been taken against him. Citizens and residents are urged to report any information about drug smuggling or related activities. Federal prosecutors score first wins on NM border trespass cases
Jun. 19—The first two migrants convicted of trespassing into the so-called New Mexico National Defense Area this month should have known better. The two Mexican nationals had previously faced the same "novel" immigration-related trespassing charges just a month ago when they illegally crossed into the U.S. and were arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol in Doña Ana County. But like dozens of others caught in the Trump administration's new southern border enforcement crackdown, their misdemeanor trespassing charges didn't stick because of legal issues. So Eduardo Herrera-Juvencio and Andres De Los Santos-Martinez ended up being released from custody and deported back to Mexico, only to illegally cross into the same New Mexico military zone, west of the Santa Teresa port of entry, on June 1. This time, the defendants' prior prosecutions meant that they had been forewarned, making it more difficult to argue they didn't know they had stepped into the 60-foot-wide buffer zone, which was designated as a military property in mid-April. The U.S. Army assumed authority over a 170-mile-long buffer zone adjacent to the U.S.-Mexico border in New Mexico. A similar zone was created for a 63-mile-long strip in West Texas. Federal authorities charged the two men with reentry after deportation and the military trespass charges, which carry additional potential prison time of up to a year. On Thursday, the U.S. Attorney's Office in New Mexico announced the defendants had pleaded guilty to all three misdemeanors. "These first convictions reflect the resolve of the United States Attorney's Office to do its part in securing our nation's southern border," U.S. Attorney for New Mexico Ryan Ellison said in a statement. "I am tremendously proud of our staff in the Las Cruces branch office, the U.S. Border Patrol and the U.S. military for their relentless efforts to secure our southern border. New Mexico — and the entire country — is more secure because of these efforts." The men's federal public defenders couldn't be reached, and it wasn't clear from court records on Thursday when they will be sentenced. Over recent weeks, federal defense attorneys have argued that such prosecutions are flawed because of legal issues over whether migrants knew of the military restriction and whether federal prosecutors had probable cause to charge them. The rollout of the new federal enforcement strategy on the border has also faced pushback from several U.S. magistrate judges, who have found the military trespass charges defective. That includes Chief U.S. Magistrate Judge Gregory Wormuth of Las Cruces, who in mid-May began to dismiss such charges in nearly 100 cases where defendants had also been charged with illegal entry, typically a first-time offense. Both De Los Santos-Martinez and Herrera-Juvencio had their military trespass charges dismissed at that time. In El Paso, in the first trial in such a case, a federal court jury on June 5 acquitted a Peruvian woman of the military trespass charges. But this week, an El Paso federal district court judge found an Ecuadorian man guilty of the trespass charge along with illegal entry. Since facing scrutiny over whether migrants are adequately warned they are entering a military defense zone on the border, charging documents give greater detail about where the defendant was caught and note that 1,100 warning signs are posted every 100 to 200 meters in the zone in Spanish and English. In Herrera-Juvencio's case, he had already walked through the defense area before he was captured 1,423 yards north of the international border, court records show. By that time, he was more than three-fourths of a mile from a posted sign, the records show. His criminal complaint states that after his first arrest on May 7, the U.S. Border Patrol provided him with a written notice in Spanish that any unauthorized entry into the restricted military area was prohibited and subject to federal prosecution. De Los Santos-Martinez also received the same notice after his first arrest, records state. Both men also pleaded guilty to re-entry after deportation.

Trump tears into ‘biased' Fox News poll over approval rating of his border policies
President Donald Trump lashed out at Fox News Thursday after its most recent survey found his approval rating on one of his favorite issues — the U.S.-Mexico border — slipped slightly and is now hovering at just above 50 percent. Writing on Truth Social, Trump groused about what he called 'the crooked Fox News poll' and said the television network's polling has 'been biased against me for years' after the release of a June survey showing 53 percent of respondents approve of his handling of border security, compared with 46 percent who disapprove. The result is two points lower than an April survey by Fox showing 55 percent approved of his border handling with 40 percent disapproving, and a three-point drop compared to a March survey which revealed that 56 percent approved while 43 percent disapproved. Trump accused the poll, which was conducted as a joint operation of Democratic pollster Beacon Research and GOP pollster Shaw and Company Research, both widely respected survey firms, of being 'always wrong and negative' and suggested that his MAGA movement 'hates Fox News' because the polls aren't favorable enough to him. 'This has gone on for years, but they never change the incompetent polling company that does their work,' he said. He further opined that the 53 percent result showed in the recent survey is 'fake' and should be 'discredited' because 'the Border is miraculously perfect.' 'NOBODY WAS ABLE TO COME IN LAST MONTH. 60,000 people came in with Sleepy Joe in the same month last year. I hate FAKE pollsters, one of the Worst, but Fox will never change their discredited pollster,' he said. The same Fox News poll also shows Trump's approval rating underwater on other key issue areas. On immigration, just 46 percent of the 1,003 respondents contacted by phone or surveyed online said they approve of the president's performance, while 53 percent said they disapproved. Trump's numbers were even worse on foreign policy, showing a 42 percent approval rating versus 57 percent disapproval, and they slipped further on the pocketbook issues that powered his history-making return to the White House in last year's presidential election. When asked how to rate Trump's work on the economy thus far, just 40 percent of voters said they approved, while 58 percent gave him negative marks. Worse yet, just 34 percent said they approved of his performance on reducing inflation, while a whopping 64 percent — nearly two thirds of all U.S. voters — said they disapprove of his inflation handling. The president's 40 percent approval rating on the economy, while higher than the 38 percent rating found by Fox in their April 2025 poll, is still far lower than the ratings voters gave him during his first term in the White House. From 2017 through 2020, respondents in the Fox News poll never gave him an approval rating lower than 44 percent, the nadir of his first term reached in October 2017. By the last survey of his first term, in December 2020, 52 percent of voters approved of his handling of the economy compared with 45 percent who disapproved and four percent who said they did not know either way.
