FEI investigating Ryan for repeatedly whipping horse
The FEI, equestrian sport's world governing body, has launched an investigation into Australian Olympian Heath Ryan after a video emerged that appeared to show him repeatedly whipping a was suspended by Equestrian Australia last week after the video - said by Ryan to be about two years old - showed a man striking a horse about 40 FEI has now also provisionally suspended the 66-year-old, who issued a statement after the video emerged to say he was acting in "the horse's best interest".But the FEI says it has opened an investigation "following allegations of horse abuse reported to the FEI and Equestrian Australia, as well as the posting of a video on social media showing abusive training techniques"."The scenes depicted are profoundly disturbing and stand in stark opposition to the core values of FEI horse welfare," FEI secretary general Sabrina Ibanez said."The FEI has opened an investigation to thoroughly examine all the facts and determine further disciplinary action under the FEI rules and regulations. We are committed to ensuring that any behaviour which puts horse welfare at risk is dealt with firmly and fairly." Sam Jones, the CEO of Equestrian Australia, added: "It is both appropriate and welcome that FEI leads the investigation of this matter."Equestrian Australia remains extremely concerned about the incident and allegations, and we will support the FEI in any way we can."We know our community is keen for answers, but we would ask for patience as the FEI rightly follows a thorough and fair process, in line with their policies and procedures."Ryan represented Australia in dressage at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 and finished said the horse, named Nico, came to him after an accident which resulted in a female rider needing hospital Australian said that Nico "had always been a problem child and would just not stop" and after the video he was able to rehome the said, external: "I am so sad this was caught on video. Rapist's sentence increased after victim returns
A rapist has been given an extended jail term thanks in part to one of his victims giving evidence against him for a second time. The Crown Prosecution (CPS) said Randy Ayor, 22, physically, sexually and emotionally abused three women after starting relationships with them while meeting them through work. Ayor was found not guilty of rape against the first accuser earlier this year but Leicester Crown Court heard he abused two further women within weeks of the verdict and she was invited to give evidence again. After being convicted of rape and assault against the second and third women in April he was sentenced on Thursday to 22 years in prison plus a three-year extension. The CPS said the first woman described how Ayor, from Leicester, became friendly towards her, helping her with car issues over a weekend but tricked her into coming back to his flat after a night out with friends. She made an allegation of rape and assault but Ayor was acquitted by a jury. However within weeks of the acquittal, Ayor attacked two further women, switching abruptly from "being charming and caring, to being violent". The CPS said he continued his emotional abuse by controlling what they wore, who they spoke to and refusing to let them get away from him. Ayor was brought before court for a second time and stood trial in April. Although Ayor had been acquitted of the rape of the first woman, she was able to give her account to a jury again, this time as bad character evidence, as her allegations were so similar to the others, the CPS said. The allegations she made could not be the subject of further charges, due to there being no new evidence in her case, but the testimony she gave at the trial showed a "similar pattern of behaviour, which strengthened the prosecution's case" against Ayor. The CPS said it must apply to the court to use bad character evidence and demonstrate it is relevant to the case and still consistent with giving the defendant a fair trial. After his trial in April, a jury found Ayor guilty of five counts of rape, one count of assault by penetration and one count of strangulation against the second woman. He was also convicted of one count of rape, one count of false imprisonment, two counts of actual bodily harm, one count of assault by beating and one count of controlling or coercive behaviour against the third woman, with Ayor pleading guilty to one count of strangulation against her. Charlotte Caulton-Scott, from the CPS, said: "Despite still being traumatised from their experiences, Ayor's victims persevered in giving evidence, revealing Ayor as the manipulator he truly is. "Although Ayor was acquitted of crimes against her, the extraordinary resolve of the first complainant to give evidence in this trial, contributed to him facing the consequences of his abhorrent crimes." Dimitri Payet charged with ‘psychological violence' against ex who accused him of forcing her to ‘drink own urine'
FORMER West Ham star Dimitri Payet faces trial after being accused of "sexual, physical and psychological violence" against his ex-girlfriend. Brazilian prosecutors have charged the ex-France midfielder, 38, with abusing 28-year-old lawyer Larissa Ferrari. 3 3 Payet hit 15 goals in 60 Hammers appearances and was their 2015-16 player of the season. The married dad-of-four joined Brazilian club Vasco da Gama in 2023 and went on to form a relationship with local woman Larissa. Rio de Janeiro prosecutors allege he took advantage of her vulnerability to start the relationship, then caused her "psychological and emotional harm" including being violent. Police initially closed their inquiry but prosecutors reopened the case after an appeal by Larissa and have now pressed charges. Payet has been accused of causing her emotional damage through "hurtful and degrading expressions, humiliation, manipulation and mockery". Larissa made allegations to The Sun on Sunday in April that Payet had forced her to film degrading films, drink her own urine and water from the toilet, and lick the floor. She also claimed she had to take part in a fake wedding and wear a ring to 'prove her love'. Payet is said to have told Brazilian police everything between him and Larissa was consensual. 3 Documents from the country's Public Ministry say the couple met online and shared a mutual interest in sexual relations involving "acts of daringness and violence". The official report states Larissa suffered depression as a result of Payet's behaviour towards her. Her lawyers said: "This measure shows that the authorities are aware of the seriousness of the facts. "They are minded to make sure that behaviours that harm women's dignity do not go unpunished - no matter how high-profile the suspect may be." The footballer, whose Vasco contract was torn up earlier this month, could have to pay a huge fine and the costs of Larissa's medical treatment if the accusations against him are found to be true. Payet's lawyer Sheila Lustoza said: "I'm surprised the case has been reopened, as it is based on information that was already out there. "But I am confident that the legal system will recognise my client's innocence." Payet left West Ham for Marseille in a £25million deal in January 2017 after falling out of favour with Hammers fans. The set-piece expert, who has 38 caps, pushed for a transfer after claiming he was homesick.

This comes after after eerie new details emerged about the shock video of Scott Wolf's estranged wife Kelley. Her voice was clear as she insisted that she would 'go on my own,' before one of the officers was heard asking: 'You got that arm?' followed by what seemed to be the sound of handcuffs clicking shut. A deputy assured her she was 'not going to jail,' while adding that she 'made some comments to your dad, and comments to people that concern - are concerning.' Kelley claimed: 'I think this is shameful and Scott Wolf has been abusing me and now you're abusing me more.' There is no indication that these allegations are true. It is unclear what Kelley meant by 'abuse.' Now, the authorities have given their side of the story behind the disturbing footage - and revealed where they took her after she was detained. The incident unfolded Friday morning at the Sundance Resort in Sundance, Utah, where Kelley had been staying since Wednesday, according to People. A press release by local law enforcement said: 'Deputies responded to the Sundance Resort for a report of a female that needed some help. Upon speaking with the female, our Deputies learned that she had made concerning comments to a family member, and she also made similar comments to our Deputies. For that reason, our Deputies transported the female to a local hospital.' A spokesperson for the Utah County Sheriff's Office explained further: 'Typically, when we transport somebody in any of our patrol vehicles, they are placed in properly-fitted hand restraints, just for their protection and our protection as law enforcement as well.' The spokesperson continued: 'So that's what happened today: she was placed in hand restraints, placed into a vehicle, and transported by our deputies to a hospital.' contacted Scott's representatives for comment. Early in the footage, Kelley could be heard saying: 'Oh my God, this is not happening! Fine, I'll go. I'll go on my own. Please, I'll go on my own!' 'You got that arm?' said one of the deputies, and a noise that sounded like handcuffs being applied was then distinctly audible, as Kelley said: 'Wow. Wow.' She lambasted the officers: 'This is shameful, gentlemen. Look at this. Look at this woman. This is shameful. Be ashamed of yourselves, gentlemen.' One of the deputies said: 'You're not going to jail,' followed by another sentence that was drowned out as Kelley, a life coach, snapped: 'I know what I'm doing. I've done this. This is my job. Shame on all of you.' 'You've made some comments to your dad, and comments to people that concern - are concerning,' explained one of the officers. Kelley then directed their attention to the fact the exchange was being recorded on her phone, saying: 'You might wanna turn this off. It's on. Would you like to turn it off? You want me to turn it off?' She clarified for the officers that she 'didn't mean to' stream the incident, and one of the policemen offered: 'I can turn it off if you'd like me to,' to which she said: 'Please turn it off. Please.' By the end of the video, Kelley was finally visible, asking the deputies to hand her the phone so that she could switch it off on her own. Kelley later posted an Insta Stories photo of her personal effects laid out in front of her, including a handbag, a Gatorade bottle and a baseball cap. 'This is horrible. I have been taken against my will. Please check in on my kids. Also... I am happy!! Happier than I have ever been,' she wrote. 'I have NO idea why or how this is happening in AMERICA.' Kelley added: 'I am compliant, calm and respectful, and hopefully this is all sorted very quickly. In the meantime, be kind to each other. This is one of the darkest things I've ever experienced.'
