How Lorraine Kelly maintains her age-defying figure at 65 as TV presenter shares jaw-dropping bikini snap - but remains convinced 'she's got a belly'

Lorraine Kelly showed off her 'real body' in a jaw-dropping bikini snap on Thursday, leaving fans wondering how she maintains her age-defying physique. The 65-year-old TV presenter is often seen sporting glamorous midi dresses on her breakfast programme. But as she stripped down to a white bikini on a recent holiday, fans couldn't believe the star's incredible figure. When she is not gracing our screens, Lorraine is always walking her beloved dog Angus and spending time running around for her granddaughter Billie. Lorraine's favourite form of exercise is a Zumba class with her instructor Maxine and credits exercise for changing her life 'in an important way', mentally and physically. The TV presenter is often seen sporting glamorous midi dresses on her breakfast programme, but as she stripped down to a white bikini on a recent holiday, fans couldn't believe the star's incredible figure (pictured age 55) The Scottish icon has also shared her passion for wild water swimming on her social media. 'I love wild water swimming – I don't get to do it as much as I'd like, but now the weather's getting a wee bit better, I'll try to do it once a week, for sure. 'It's good for you physically, and really good for you mentally too. It's fantastic when you're in, and when you get out you feel totally revitalised. It's wonderful', Lorraine told South Wales magazine. She also insisted the exercise classes is what has helped her drop three dress sizes back in 2018. At the time, Lorraine gave fans an insight into her exercise regime as she launched a body confidence series Work It Out on her ITV show. She confessed: 'Like so many people, I found excuses not to commit to a regular exercise routine. 'But after finding exercise I really enjoy, and going to Maxine's classes regularly, I feel better not only physically but mentally too.' She added: 'We were talking last year about the menopause and how difficult that can be for everybody, I did get quite anxious… and it really helps with that. It's like I've had a spring clean in my head. It's like being re-set, it really is.' Lorraine loves cold water swimming and credits the activity of making her feel 'energised' and 'fabulous' Lorraine's favourite form of exercise is a Zumba class with her instructor Maxine and credits exercise for changing her life 'in an important way', mentally and physically Talking about her exercise classes with Maxine, Lorraine said: 'The class is amazing. There's a real 'we're all in this together'. Maxine is like an agony aunt at the end. 'Working out has helped me drop three dress sizes and changed my life in an important way.' However, over the years Lorraine candidly revealed she put exercise on the back burner for a while and took a break from her classes for two years. In 2022 she got back into the swing of her routine and shared on Instagram: 'FIRST Fitness class in over two years! Knackered but so much fun ! Knackered but so much fun! Finally on way to feeling healthier and happier!' Lorraine told fans 'I've got a belly' during her ITV programme as she shared the bikini snap on Thursday's show. She was joined in studio by Jeremy Clarkson 's daughter Emily Clarkson to discuss the dangers of using online filters to alter pictures before posting them on social media. Emily, 30, is known for her candid posts on social media about body positivity. During the conversation, Lorraine's pool snap was used to demonstrate what technology could do to 'tweak' images. In 2022 she got back into the swing of her routine and shared on Instagram: 'FIRST Fitness class in over two years! Knackered but so much fun ! Knackered but so much fun! Finally on way to feeling healthier and happier!' For viewers at home and in the studio, Lorraine's original capture was placed next to an altered version, showing her body noticeably altered. There were other noticeable tweaks to her arms and bust, with Lorraine admitting she first 'laughed' when she saw the changes. She said: 'It just shows you what you can do now. It depends on what you're using it for. They did it with me, and I looked at it, and I actually laughed! I thought, crikey!' Pointing out the authenticity of the original picture, the Scottish star continued: 'That's more kind of normal, I've got a belly, who hasn't?' Lorraine then recalled when she stripped off on her show nine years ago for The Bikini Promise. It was a five-week program that aimed to help viewers feel confident in their bikinis, no matter their age, size or shape. Lorraine jokingly recalled: 'I did lather on the fake tan, and, as you can see, I was the colour of a satsuma!' ITV have recently slashing the duration of Lorraine's show from 60 to just 30 minutes, with the long-running programme becoming seasonal only. MailOnline previously told how Lorraine was given the chance by ITV bosses to merge her daytime show with Good Morning Britain to present the last 30 minutes of their broadcast, but she declined. She, was pulled into a meeting prior to the channel's budget cuts announcement last month where she was offered the new proposal, which was considered an 'easy fix' after the same format was adopted during the pandemic. Sources said that Lorraine was 'insulted' by the suggestion and told bigwigs it wasn't a possibility, resulting in the reduced runtime of her show from an hour to 30 minutes. Lorraine, who has presented her show for the past 14 years, was prepared to 'walk away' but agreed to continue hosting the series until the end of 2026. The star is predicted to quit for good next year after a new role titled, Head of Lorraine, was created to oversee the changes, but the contract is only for a 12-month period.

Strangers to friends: Bond over sports this weekend

Across the city, strangers are turning into teammates as sports is making people connect. Office-goers are finding kinship over turf football and students are swapping cafés for cricket. But between laps at Rabindra Sarobar and Zumba warmups, he found community. 'We thought maybe 20 people would show up,' he laughs. 'At the first event, 350 did.' Now, every weekend at 6.30 am, 100–150 people gather to run and bond over coffee. 'There's no pressure, no podium talk,' says Amorto. 'You run, then chat with someone new.' It's the kind of bond Shatadru hoped for when he set up one of the city's first artificial turf pitches in 2018. Among the 200+ women now part of the community is 43-year-old Aliya Ahmed Shah.
