Two West Aussies will be having a very happy weekend after winning a share in the Saturday Lotto $20 million prize draw. The highly anticipated draw for the $20 million saw nine winners claim a piece of the pie, including the two sandgropers who are now $2.2 million richer. The winning numbers were 6, 24, 10, 42, 1, 30 and the supplementary numbers were 18 and 16. WA's winning tickets were sold at Derby Newsagency and through Lotterywest Play Online - the other winning tickets came from New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. Division two saw 133 Aussie's take home a cool $8,784.10 and 23 ticket holders came from WA. It has been a lucky week for WA Lotto players, after a pair of West Aussies scooped up $1 million each from Friday's Millionaire Medley game. 'WA has celebrated five Division One wins this weekend,' Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said. 'It's exciting to know somewhere in WA there are winning tickets that will provide their ticketholders with a lot of happiness and excitement. 'We can't wait to find out who these ticketholders are and welcome them into the Lotterywest Winner's Room.' The Saturday Lotto has been good to WA recently, with another two West Aussies taking home $546,068 each from the $6m division one prize.

Decades of dedication have paid off for one Perth resident who claimed a 'life-changing' division one Lotto prize on Saturday. The south of the river man — who purchased his ticket from Newstime Lottery Centre in the CBD — has been playing his favourite numbers for 30 years. After matching five winning numbers the weekend before, the man predicted he would win big in the next draw. 'I had a good feeling I might get six this weekend,' he said. The winner was still shocked to discover on Monday that he had won a massive $546,068. He said he will use his winnings to retire a little earlier and travel the country with his wife in 'probably a bit more luxurious caravan than (they) had initially planned'. Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said the man was one of two WA division one winners on Saturday — with the second winner purchasing his ticket online. Lotto: One Australian hits jackpot, pockets entire $100 million Powerball
A very fortunate Australian has banked a mammoth nine-figure sum in Powerball's highest prize of the year. The ticketholder, from New South Wales, was the only Lotto player to match all seven winning numbers plus the all-important Powerball, resulting in a staggering $100 million windfall. Another six Aussies have netted a very handy cash boost of $282.415.55 each from division two. Luck was in favour for 23 WA players in division three, with a total of 187 players pocketing hauls worth more than $11,265. While WA players missed out on division own and two prizes, Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said West Aussies still came out winners. 'As a State Government owned and operated lottery, all available profits from ticket sales go into our grants program, which supports communities across WA,' she said. 'From a $4.65 million grant to build a community hub in Newman, to a $12,924 grant providing heating for the Blackwood Dungeons and Dragons Winterfest in July.' The winning numbers for draw #1517 were 28, 10, 3, 16, 31, 14 and 21. The Powerball was 6. It comes after a West Aussie couple, aged in their 50s, pocketed more than $627,000 is Saturday's draw. The pair had just taken in the joy of a thrilling music concert - but the real music to their ears was still to come. 'After coming out of the concert I decided to check my Lotto ticket and couldn't believe what I saw,' one of them said. 'I was shaking and in tears when I realised we had won the Lotto and I've been in shock ever since.'
