Taking to Instagram, Jesy shared a poignant video of Zion dancing with one of the girls. With music playing in the background, Zion wiggled the baby's hands and feet while singing to her. He also addressed the other twin, saying: "You wanna do some dancing too?" Last week, Jesy confirmed the baby girls were finally home - after a long hospital stint. She penned on Instagram: "My babies made it home for my birthday." One fan responded: "I knew they would make it home to be with you, precious miracle girls they did it for you. "They love you so much and wanted to be with mummy on her special day. Happy birthday angel!" While another shared: "So happy you guys are all home together." During her pregnancy, Jesy was diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). Jesy Nelson gives birth to twins two months early after emergency procedure to save their lives TTTS is a rare but serious condition in which blood flows unevenly between identical twins sharing a placenta - putting both babies at risk. The diagnosis took Jesy and Zion by surprise and they revealed they had no idea what TTTS was before the diagnosis. Jesy has already had a successful operation, though didn't specify the type of procedure, and has been keeping herself busy with a self-care and beauty regime. Meanwhile Zion ran the London marathon with less than five weeks training, in order to raise money for the charity Twins Trust in honour of their little ones. What are the different types of twins? TWINS are when two children are produced in the same pregnancy. They can be identical or different, and two boys, two girls, or a girl and a boy. Twins are quite rare, but are usually born completely healthy What are the different types of twins? Monozygotic – identical twins ('one cell' twins) Dizygotic – also known as 'fraternal', non identical twins. Babies are no more alike than siblings born at separate times, and they can be the same or different sexes Conjoined twins – identical twins that are joined together. They are extremely rare, and it's estimated they range from one in 49,000 to 189,000 births, although around half are stillborn, and one third die within 24 hours. Can identical twins be two different sexes? Identical twins are always of the same sex because they form from the same fertilised egg that contains either female or male chromosomes. The single egg is divided into two separate embryos, and they occur in about three in every 1000 deliveries worldwide. Therefore, boy/girl twins are always fraternal (or dizygotic), as their chromosomes are either XY (male) or XX (female). What are Di Di twins? Di Di stands for Dichronic Diamniotic, and they are the common type of twins. They have their own amniotic sacs and placenta, so are just sharing the womb of the mother, and are therefore not identical. There are few complications with Di Di twins, so have a good chance of being born completely healthy without intervention from your doctor. Di di twins are more likely to be non-identical than identical. As he completed the 26.2mile mission, Jesy watched from her room and declared in a sweet post: 'I honestly didn't think I could love you any more than I already do @zionfoster but you have made me and our babies the proudest!!!! 'You had under 4 weeks to train for the London Marathon and you have worked your absolute bum off to be able to cross that finish line today whilst raising money for an amazing cause @twinstrust and for our babies.' She added: 'Words will never be enough to let you know how proud I am of you. 'The most amazing human and daddy — we love you baby. You smashed the London Marathon!!!!'

Carnival Cruise Lines cleared in South Florida sexual assault case
While describing the incident as "nightmarish," a federal appeals court has ruled that Carnival Cruise Lines could not be held liable in the sexual assault of a teenage passenger. A three-judge panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a decision by a U.S. district judge in the case filed in South Florida. Shipboard sexual assault of teen girl The victim, identified by the initials J.F., was on vacation with her parents. Three other teens, identified by the names Zion, Daniel and Jesus, offered to walk with her to check in with her parents late one night. On the way, they stopped at the room of one of the boys. The three boys allegedly sexually assaulted J.F. in the room. J.F. sued the cruise line, alleging that it had negligently failed to warn her of the danger and prevent the assault, according to Tuesday's opinion. Court sides with cruise line But the three-judge panel said Carnival "did not have actual or constructive notice of the risk that Zion, Daniel, or Jesus would commit sexual assault" and that evidence did not show that Carnival should have known the "particular type of risk" faced by J.F. "The sexual assault on J.F., as she describes it, was both tragic and depraved," Judge Kevin Newsom wrote in the opinion joined by Judges Robin Rosenbaum and Stanley Marcus. "But the question here is whether Carnival is responsible. We hold that it is not. Carnival — which oversees a vast fleet of ships, each the site of countless human interactions — couldn't have known about or foreseen the attack. Accordingly, it can't be liable."

From Middle East war-zone to Ukraine — Gqeberha man rescues animals caught in the crossfire
It takes a brave and committed person to try to organise the rescue of five lion cubs in the middle of the Israel-Iran bombardment and then return to Ukraine – some of the journey on foot – to feed the hungry pets left homeless by the conflict against Russia. Most people try to get as far away from conflict and war as possible. Not South African Lionel de Lange, who often finds himself in danger – driven by his compassion for vulnerable animals. De Lange, a Ggeberha native now living in Ukraine, was recently stranded in Israel as Iran's drone attacks forced the airports there to close – delaying his return to Ukraine, where he oversees the care of big cats and other rescued wildlife – and more recently hungry pets. The director of Warriors of Wildlife, said he had arrived in Israel to meet with the Israeli National Parks authority. He had previously successfully rescued a trafficked lion from Israel and was trying to arrange refuge for five lion cubs confiscated from smugglers. The plan was disrupted by the escalation of conflict. 'We had already taken in a rescued lion cub called Zion,' he said. Zion is now living at the Simbonga Sanctuary just outside Gqeberha, and De Lange had high hopes of doing the same for the five cubs that are currently in quarantine in a zoo in Israel. De Lange met with the park authorities on Thursday last week – and even managed to fit in a turtle release – before missiles started flying overhead. De Lange said: 'I was super fortunate to go to a marine unit and be part of the release of five turtles, three loggerhead turtles and two green turtles, which were all caught in fishing nets and caught in plastic bags and fishing lines and things like that, and had to be rehabilitated and released. 'So that's what I did on Thursday, and then the plan on Friday was to visit the lions, but then Thursday night, early Friday morning … both sides were firing missiles at each other. Israel at Iran, Iran at us, so we were stuck in bomb shelters for two nights. 'The government shut everything down. It was like Covid times. There was no one on the streets, only essential services were allowed to operate. The skies were closed so I couldn't fly out.' So what did De Lange do? On Sunday, he got a lift to the border of Jordan and walked across. He then drove to Oman, from there making his way back to Europe. At the time of speaking to Daily Maverick he was at the border of Romania and Ukraine, about to enter the country he moved to almost two decades ago. He added that he wanted to get back to the abandoned dogs and cats he has been feeding in Ukraine. 'War is war' Speaking about witnessing war on two different continents he said: 'War is war. The big thing that is the same is that in all of them, unnecessary people and animals die.' However, he said the war in Ukraine is more intense than the Iran-Israel conflict. 'We actually have a front line (in Ukraine) where there's physical fighting going on, where soldiers are shooting at each other. And small drone warfare. I work on the front line with the Russians just across the river from us, as close as 500m sometimes. I've been in shelling incidents. We've been sniped at twice. My ambulance has been shot at twice. And then we are hunted by drones. The Russians are actually hunting civilians and ourselves, aid workers on the front line.' He said in Israel, ballistic missiles and drone attacks were taking place and while that was devastating to civilians, 'they're not dealing with artillery and mortars and tanks and soldiers fighting hand to hand, and that is what's happening in Ukraine'. That said, his planned rescue of the five little lion cubs will be affected by the conflict. 'It's going to affect any rescues because what it will do is, as long as the skies are closed, that means we can't fly any wildlife out. We can't fly in. We'll have to overland by road. We can't get out via the south with any animals, even if we had to put them on trucks in crates, we couldn't go south because we'd have to go past the Gaza Strip and into Egypt,' he said, adding that that was too dangerous. 'We can't go east … that's going into Iran. And then north would be Syria, and so they're all dangerous countries for us. We could possibly go through Jordan, but then all the documentation and permitting required will definitely make it a lengthy and dangerous process. 'But you know, if the lions are there, we'll try and keep them safe and that's all we can do. We'll keep them safe and healthy as much as we can. But all we can do is hope and pray that this escalation, this war, this conflict ends soon.' De Lange and his team to date have rescued 41 lions, a tiger, 17 bears, a pack of wolves, and a monkey – nearly all from Ukraine, with the exception of a few lions from South Africa and Israel. Some were placed in sanctuaries, but many facilities fell short of their promises to care for the rescued creatures. So De Lange decided he needed a refuge he could control. After a two-year search, he secured a property near the Gamtoos River, just outside Gqeberha. Simbonga Sanctuary is now home to 14 lions, a tiger and a range of free-roaming species – a permanent refuge for wildlife in need. How you can help Consider donating directly to Warriors of Wildlife or spreading the word about its lifesaving work. Support legislation that protects big cats from abuse and that prohibits their private ownership. Raise awareness by sharing their stories. Warriors of Wildlife is a registered NPC with a Public Benefit Organisation number, which means you can claim a tax deduction on your donation. De Lange explained that the sanctuary predominantly runs on donations and income from day visitors and overnight guests – but tourism hasn't recovered to its full capacity, and the sanctuary is far from fully occupied. He stressed that many people are eager to contribute when there's a dramatic rescue, but few appreciate the ongoing financial commitment that comes afterwards. 'It's not just the rescue; it's the care for years afterwards. We took in little Zion from Israel two years ago – he's going to live until he's 22 or 23 – that's a lifelong commitment. That's far greater than the initial cost of the rescue. 'Zion was rushed into emergency surgery two weeks after he arrived due to a blockage in his intestine – which set us back nearly $1,000 (R18,000). We also do manicures and pedicures on them,' he laughed. DM

Jesy Nelson brings babies home from hospital
Jesy Nelson has finally brought her twins home from hospital. The former Little Mix singer and partner Zion Foster welcomed daughters Ocean and Story into the world on 15 May, over eight weeks before their due date, and were being treated in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), but the couple were delighted to have their girls discharged ahead of Jesy's 34th birthday on Saturday (14.06.25). Sharing a photo of herself looking at her daughters - who wore personalised babygros featuring the slogan 'Happy birthday mummy' - Jesy wrote on Instagram: "My babies made it home for my birthday [teary and white heart emoji] (sic)" The Boyz singer announced her daughters had been born a few days after their birth. She wrote on Instagram at the time: "So… Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31 weeks plus 5 days. It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We've never felt more in love. "Everybody meet Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster. (sic)" Jesy's Instagram post also included photos of herself and Zion cradling their baby girls. Two weeks ago, Jesy - who was diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, which can put one or both babies at risk, during her pregnancy - opened up about how heartbroken she has been to have such little physical contact with her children while they were in NICU. She wrote alongside a photo of her cradling both babies while Zion beamed at the camera: "Nothing or no one will ever be able to prepare you as a parent for NICU. It's the most scary overwhelming feeling of emotions not being able to feel like you can protect your babies. Naturally as a mother you just want to hold them and comfort them when they cry but you can't because there are what feels like a million wires coming out of them and tubes and masks in the way with people poking and prodding them it breaks your heart into a million pieces." The photo marked the first time the tots hadn't been in separate incubators. She added: "But slowly as the days go by and they get stronger and wires start to come away, moments like this feel like a dream. Having them reunited for the first time ever today was the most magical feeling I will never be able to describe. The strongest little girls I've ever known who really do have the most inspiring story to tell.(sic)"
