Nahyan bin Mubarak attends graduation ceremony of 2025 batch at Zayed University
19 June 2025 16:52 ABU DHABI (WAM)Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended the concluding ceremony celebrating the Class of 2025, titled "Future Makers", at Zayed University graduation celebrations, held over three days, recognised the accomplishments of 1,503 students from the university's campuses in Abu Dhabi and final day of the ceremonies honoured 66 postgraduate students from seven colleges, along with 224 outstanding students who graduated with distinction and honours in undergraduate and postgraduate event was attended by Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Community Development and Chairperson of Zayed University's Board of Trustees, alongside board members, dignitaries and the graduates' Nahyan bin Mubarak congratulated the graduates on their achievements, wishing them continued success and a prosperous future. He urged them to apply the knowledge and skills they had acquired to serve the nation, its leadership, and society at large, and to contribute to shaping a bright future for the the conclusion of the ceremony, Sheikh Nahyan received a commemorative gift entitled "Marhaban", a modern sculpture inspired by a verse of poetry by the UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The artwork blends traditional Arabic calligraphy with contemporary design, reflecting the values of generosity, pride and the first day of the graduation events, Hajar Al Dhahli, Secretary-General of the Education, Human Development and Community Council, attended as guest of honour and extended congratulations to the graduates of Zayed University, acknowledging the role the institution had played in shaping their intellect and providing them with leadership skills to serve the Al Mazrouei also extended her congratulations to the graduates and their families, describing the ceremony as the beginning of a new chapter shaped by the values and education instilled at Zayed her address to the graduates, she said, 'Your values are what distinguish you—not your titles or appearance. Her Excellency Hajer Al Thehli, Secretary General of the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council, marked the first day of the graduation ceremony as Guest of Honor, highlighting the vital role the university plays in preparing the next generation of leaders for the UAE. This year marks the 23rd cohort of graduating female students and the 13th cohort of male students. Graduates represent all seven of Zayed University's colleges, including the Colleges of Business, Communications and Media Sciences, Technological Innovation, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Natural and Health Sciences, and Arts and Creative Enterprises, as well as postgraduate programmes. His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak congratulated the graduates on their achievements, wishing them continued success and a prosperous future. At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency received a gift titled 'Marhaban' (Welcome) a modern sculpture inspired by a verse from the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, blending traditional Emirati calligraphy with contemporary design to embody the values of generosity, pride, and heritage. The Class of 2025 includes a diverse group of graduates, comprising 1,234 female and 203 male undergraduates, along with 66 postgraduate students. Among them, 224 students graduated with honours across undergraduate and master's programmes. Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Community Development and Chairperson of the Zayed University Board of Trustees, congratulated the graduates and their families on their achievement, describing the ceremony as a celebration of legacy, identity, and future purpose. She said: 'True legacy isn't built by titles or applause. it's rooted in values that hold firm when no one is watching. Today's graduates carry three national trusts: skill that serves, knowledge that questions, and character that endures. The future won't be shaped by how loud we speak, but by how deeply we are rooted.' SAP Rolls Out Technology Training Initiatives Across the Middle East
SAP University Alliances has launched its Business AI Roadshow in the UAE as the latest in a series of collaborations aimed at equipping young people across the Middle East with in-demand technology skills. As part of the Dubai Cultural Grant, under the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy, this trip reflects Dubai Culture's commitment to empowering creatives, enriching their experiences, and nurturing an environment that allows talent to thrive and innovate. Dubai has secured the prestigious role of hosting the 2026 International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA), further cementing its status as a global cultural and creative hub. The announcement came at the close of this year's ISEA event in Seoul, South Korea, recognising Dubai's vibrant arts scene, world-class infrastructure, and commitment to innovation. The bid was championed by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, and Zayed University. Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture, highlighted the significance of this achievement, stating it reflects Dubai's growing influence in the global art and digital innovation sectors. She attributed the city's cultural ascent to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
