MyKayla Skinner accuses Simone Biles of bullying amid online feud; ‘I have been belittled…'
Former US gymnast MyKayla Skinner is calling out Olympic icon Simone Biles, accusing her of years of bullying and saying Biles' recent clash with swimmer Riley Gaines triggered painful memories. The controversy started earlier this month when Biles, a seven-time Olympic gold medalist, apologized for comparing Gaines to a man. The comment came during a public argument over Gaines' stance against transgender athletes in women's sports. Skinner, who competed alongside Biles from 2014 to 2020 and represented Team USA at two Olympics, says that moment pushed her to finally speak out. Also Read: MyKayla Skinner's fans call Simone Biles 'bully,' extend support to Riley Gaines Last week, Skinner claimed she 'endured being belittled, dismissed and ostracized behind the scenes by Simone,' and expanded on those remarks in a new interview. 'Throughout my career, there have been many times when I have been belittled and bullied by Simone and have wanted to keep quiet for the other athletes,' Skinner told Fox. 'And there have been multiple times through my Olympic journey and through camps, training, everything that we have gone through where she has come and belittled all of us. I've wanted to stay silent through this because she has a huge platform,' as cited by DailyMail report. Their relationship took a major hit during the 2024 Paris Olympics. Skinner had started a YouTube channel to comment on Team USA's performance and questioned the depth of the roster, saying: 'Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn't like what it used to be.' Biles fired back on Instagram after winning gold, posting a photo with the caption: 'lack of talent, lazy, olympic champions.' On Threads, she added: 'Not everyone needs a mic and a platform.' After that, Skinner blocked Biles on Instagram. Biles announced the move on X, and teammate Jordan Chiles shared a photo of Biles holding her phone with proof. Several other gymnasts, including Suni Lee and Jade Carey, also blocked Skinner. Gymnastics star McKayla Maroney weighed in as well, backing Biles. 'It doesn't get more iconic than this,' she wrote on Instagram. '[Skinner] f'd around n found out fr. Feels like I need to apologize just to redeem my first name.' Reflecting on the fallout nearly a year later, Skinner says the situation spiraled out of control. 'I had multiple fans reach out that wanted me to go live, publicly live, and wanted me to make a YouTube video commentating Olympic trials because I know gymnastics, I have been to the Olympics, and to share my experiences,' she said. 'Everybody had loved it and then during my short 15-minute YT video they had taken a short clip, twisted my words and it had gone viral.' 'Then the bullying had happened, Simone and I had a conversation and I thought things had died down,' she added. 'More had started to play into it throughout the Olympic games and I was getting bullied, my publicist was also getting bullied, hateful threats comments, comments on my family and daughter.' 'I reached out to Simone personally, and got no response, no response from the girls. I had reached out to my fellow teammates and friends and got no response from them as well.' Now, Skinner says she wants to shine a light on cyberbullying. Asked if Biles' 'belittling behavior' happened throughout her career, Skinner said: 'Yes it did. Yes, multiple times throughout. Different moments in my career and it has been very hard and very difficult and this is why I have wanted to speak out. With the Olympics going on that was a major experience that I went through and very difficult and I want to continue to help cyber bullying come to an end.' Simone Biles has not responded to Skinner's recent claims.

The Rebel Kid aka Apoorva Mukhija makes explosive claims about The Traitors, reveals Karan Johar personally interviewed contestants: ‘I lied about lots of things to be on the show'
Karan Johar-hosted The Traitors has become a hot topic on social media. On Monday morning, Uorfi Javed slammed fellow contestant Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid) for making false claims in her YouTube vlog called Story Time. Apoorva has made several explosive claims about the show, revealing a few behind-the-scenes details that are usually kept under wraps, and admitting that she lied in several interviews just to be on the show. Talking about how she lied during her interview with BBC Studios, the studio behind The Traitors, Apoorva Mukhija said that she was the most irrelevant contestant as compared to others on the show. 'This was a very big opportunity for me. BBC Studios was producing it, Amazon Prime was streaming it, and Karan Johar was hosting the game show. We made the show like Bigg Boss to some extent. Till I was offered this show, I had no content on YT, no films, etc. I was one of the most irrelevant people on the show as compared to others; the makers also thought 50 times before taking me on board. But I made sure to give such answers in my interview that they selected me. I just wanted to be on the show anyway. The minute they told me I was selected for the show, I freaked out, because I lied about a lot of things, saying that I am entertaining and will do whatever. I knew nothing. I was very underprepared and underconfident,' Apoorva confessed. Also Read: Uorfi Javed accidentally reveals she won The Traitors, says The Rebel Kid and her fight was 'planned': 'We have literally spoken after the incident' A post shared by prime video IN (@primevideoin) Apoorva Mukhija admitted to saying certain things deliberately, knowing they would make it past the edit. She even revealed details from her interview with Karan Johar. 'A friend of mine told me that whenever I went to give interviews on the show, I should say something iconic that they can't cut out from the show. That I should give moments and memes, which changed my perception,' Apooorva explained. The Rebel Kid added, 'After we went to the palace, everyone was called inside to get interviewed by Karan Johar. It was about whether we wanted to be a traitor or not. I knew I would have been a horrible traitor. But since this game is about the traitors and they would get the most screen time and control over the game, I said I would love to be a traitor. Karan asked me why, and I said I wanted the ability to throw out anybody from the show who talked too much or irritated me. I didn't mean any of it though. Then Karan asked me who would be the first person I would throw out of the show, and I said Sufi Motiwala. I was like, if he judges people's clothing for a living and that's how he dressed, then I didn't trust his judgment.' A post shared by prime video IN (@primevideoin) Recalling the moment when her fight with Uorfi Javed began, Apoorva Mukhija shared a back story and explained, 'It was a captive reality show, where no gadgets were given. My manager told me I would get three calls on the show, which I believed. After one task, I was thinking about my mom and missing home, so I asked the production team if they could allow me one call as discussed, and they said nothing like that was discussed. I was shocked. They said, as per the contract, they could not allow me any phone call. Following which I was upset and told Jannat Zubair about it, but Uorfi came asking what happened and Jannat told her not to talk now, then Uorfi got angry.' Apoorva added, 'I thought the only place where I would talk is the video diaries room. There was a video room no 5 where the girl used to ask me insane questions. She was my only friend on the show. I was also very self-aware.' The Rebel Kid also went on to share that the show is not scripted, and the makers stitch the reactions of the contestants in the given situations. The Traitors streams on Amazon Prime Video every Thursday at 8 pm.

'When you're a little one and Pops leaves at 10, you've got to figure it out, right?' he said, referring to his own childhood. 'The last 10 years have been the greatest time of my life.' He added, 'What I've taught them is: you've got to stand up, you've got to earn it, you've got to work hard, you've got to be honest. You're going to make mistakes, but you've got to get back up and get back up to that plate like you're ready to go again.' Rodriguez is still not in the Baseball Hall of Fame. But for his daughters, he's teaching what really matters, how to grow, learn, and keep going no matter what.

Cantopop singer helps Hong Kong students set the stage for success
A struggling student in Hong Kong said she would only study if singer-songwriter Chau Yan-ting sent her a personal message. She did not expect her teacher to share her wish with the rising star – or that he would show up at her school. The Cantopop singer affectionately known as YT surprised the student with a live performance at her secondary school. 'A year later, I saw her again at an event and learned that she successfully got into university. That moment truly moved me,' shared the 34-year-old artist, who was born in Hong Kong and raised in Singapore. 'It made me realise that even the smallest actions can leave a mark.' Last July, this sense of purpose inspired Chau to launch a year of free school performances. He visited dozens of Hong Kong schools to encourage pupils to follow their dreams. 'Looking back at my secondary school days, there were moments when I doubted myself and lacked confidence. I wished someone had been there to lift me up,' Chau said. 'Now, if I have the ability to do that for others, I feel it's my privilege to try.' The singer's career Chau debuted as a singer in 2015. After a while, his career slowed down. It left him questioning his place in the industry. With no resources, he began pitching himself to major record labels in hopes of a breakthrough. A few years ago, his single, 'Regret' (遲了悔改) – written as the theme song for a ViuTV drama – went viral. Last year, Chau's hit, 'Three Lives of Luck', not only topped local music charts but the self-directed music video also amassed more than 6.6 million views. Chau was one of the top five contenders for 'My Favourite Male Singer' in the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation earlier this year. Connecting with Hong Kong students Through his school tour, Chau hopes to inspire students to tackle stress by building resilience. Rather than sugar-coating life's difficulties, Chau uses his visits to encourage students to face reality head-on. 'I'm not here to paint the world as a beautiful place. I talk about its harshness, but I also emphasise that we still have to keep moving forward. It's about being real with them,' he said. Chau shares his advice with Hong Kong teens. He also learns from them. 'Interacting with them has taught me so much about what's on their minds,' he said. 'While I share my experiences, they also ask me many questions, which help me understand how I can better support them, whether through my music or meaningful discussions.' The singer said he was especially touched when he saw how happy the students were when he visited. 'Some even message me to share how much it meant to them ... I hope they know that someone in this city is truly listening to their voices,' he said. Sample answers Stop and think: Chau says that he hopes his music and school appearances can help students reduce their stress and allow them to push them through difficulties. He said the students help him by asking him questions, which allows him to understand their situations and how they need support.
