‘What It Feels Like For A Girl': Meet The Cast And Characters Of BBC's 'Visceral, Wild' New Drama
Since its resurgence, the Y2k wave has shown no signs of slowing down, be it in fashion and culture, and such is the case in BBC Three's latest drama, What It Feels Like For A Girl. The show is set in the early 2000s in Nottinghamshire, through the eyes of teenage Byron who is beginning to grapple with his sense of identity and sexuality in a small regressive town that doesn't seem to accept nor tolerate him. Byron yearns for life beyond what he knows. His journey of self-discovery and eventual transition into a woman begins when he becomes a part of 'The Fallen Divas', a queer group of teens who riotously and often dangerously, together, begin to come into their own through a series of alcohol and drug-fuelled escapades. Based on Paris Lees' coming-of-age memoir of the same title, the series has already been heralded as one of this year's leading drama - a title which is largely in part due to the series' cast ensemble. From breakout actors Ellis Howard, Laquarn Lewis and Hannah Jones to the more seasoned, including Michael Socha, we break down all there is to know about the cast and characters of What It Feels Like For A Girl. Olivia Rodrigo Proves an Unexpected Print Is Actually So Boho
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. When you think of the boho aesthetic, which pieces come to mind? Perhaps a crocheted shawl, a billowy maxi dress, or over-the-knee boots. Pretty much every ensemble in the Chloé catalog works. On June 2, Olivia Rodrigo proved that with the right accessories, any Chloé creation can lean boho—even leopard-print pants. Just a few hours after landing in New York (in her signature Adidas Sambas, of course), Rodrigo hit Fish Cheeks in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood to celebrate a friend's birthday. She deemed it the perfect occasion to toast an unexpectedly all-seasons neutral, leopard print, at the same time. Chloé velvet trousers featuring a Y2k low-rise and a bootcut flare hem were the star's pick. This wasn't your run-of-the-mill animal print endorsement, however. From there, Rodrigo upped the boho vibes with suede peep-toe pumps and a coordinating, buckle-heavy brown shoulder bag by Stand Oil. Perhaps inspired by Jennifer Lawrence, Maya Hawke, and Hailey Bieber (to name a few), she chose a slouchy style crafted from faux nubuck leather that aligns with the belt bag trend. View Deal View Deal To finish, Rodrigo popped on a cherry red Brandy Melville long-sleeve. Then, she opted for minimal jewelry—just a silver pendant necklace and matching stud earrings. Much like Miley Cyrus, Bieber, and Lawrence, Rodrigo is undeniably embracing her wild side right now. A few hours before meeting up with her friends, the "Vampire" singer sported another animal print at JFK airport. Alongside jeans and Adidas Sambas, Rodrigo carried a zebra shoulder bag from Rouje. Unlike other Rodrigo-approved purses, the beige suede bag is still available to shop. View Deal Rodrigo has kept a low profile this spring, but she's back in New York City for a highly anticipated performance: her headlining slot at the Governor's Ball festival on June 8. At this rate, she'll take the stage wearing another déjà vu-inducing animal print—or subverting an unexpected seasonal pattern. My money's on plaid or gingham.

Kylie Jenner's Favourite Studded Bikini Comes From This Secret Spanish Brand
Gimaguas, Costa Maxi Dress Gimaguas, Bow-Embellished Top Gimaguas, Luna Midi Skirt Gimaguas, Saona Panelled Trousers Gimaguas, Maxi Casilda Canvas Bag Gimaguas, Bailarina Studded Flats Gimaguas, Diane Mini Dress Gimaguas, Kite Mini Dress There's no polite way to put it: some countries are simply more proficient at summer dressing, thanks largely to their meteorological advantage. While we in the UK persist with a heatwave uniform that sits somewhere between festival chic and a Sienna Miller-era boho remix - part practicality, part party girl - those closer to the equator have mastered the art of beach-adjacent dressing that translates seamlessly to city pavements. Case in point: Gimaguas, the Spanish label currently enjoying cult status among Gen Z (Kylie Jenner included). And honestly? The hype tracks. Translating to 'twins', Gimaguas was founded in 2018 by the twin sisters Claudia and Sayana Durany in Barcelona, where they still run the brand today. Their collections - produced locally in collaboration with Spanish artisans - sit somewhere between homespun charm and something a bit more beach ready. What exactly does Gimaguas look like? Those fluent in fashion shorthand will clock the Gisele-at-the-beach, circa 2002 energy immediately. For everyone else: imagine the brand's aesthetic as an amalgamation of Y2k surfer boy falls for surfer girl, and they raid each other's wardrobes before heading to a beach rave in Ibiza. Or, put differently: think skimpy silhouettes (for her and for him), cheeky details, delicate fabrics, sparkle-strewn separates, the perfect baby tee, and a near-religious devotion to the nano mini. In recent years, Gimaguas has quietly cemented its status as a Gen Z favourite - thanks in no small part to its studded Franca shoulder bag (ubiquitous on Instagram) and more of the great studded stuff, courtesy of its collaboration with the flip flop heavyweight, Havaianas. Most recently, the brand has gained the Jenner stamp of approval, as the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister was spotted in a studded bikini by the brand - algorithm-approved, bien sûr. ©Instagram / @kyliejenner So, if you're still finding yourself in the midst of piecing together your perfect summer wardrobe, might we suggest you take a closer look at this Spanish staple? Chances are, you will most definitely find something to upgrade your hot weather essentials, at - a piece of good news - surprisingly commendable prices. 1. Gimaguas, Costa Maxi Dress 2. Sydney Sweeney Just Walked the Red Carpet in a Bridal Corset Gown
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Sydney Sweeney's CinemaCon 2025 red carpet look was where Jessica Rabbit meets Old Hollywood—meets Carrie Bradshaw's wedding day. The Anyone But You star was a vision in an ivory bridal gown pulled straight from Wiederhoeft's Spring/Summer 2025 ready-to-wear runway. A choice after she called off her wedding to Jonathan Davino. The dress was strapless and featured a super-snatched corset bodice that created a dramatic hourglass silhouette. The drop-waist corset was accented with a chunky built-in belt in the same fabric, embellished with silver grommets and a silver buckle. The belt felt just below Sweeney's hips, embracing the return of the Y2k low-rise silhouette, but it a very glamorous way. Styled by Molly Dickson, the actor wore the statement gown only with pointy heels in a creamy gray hue, and silver hoop earrings to coordinate with her belt. Her blonde hair was down in mermaid waves, and for beauty, she opted for an easy pink blush and clear, glossy lip. Sweeney walked the carpet at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in the look, and later took the stage to promote her upcoming film The Housemaid. She was joined by costars Brandon Sklenar and Amanda Seyfried. The Mamma Mia! star doubled down on sequins with her look. Up top, she wore a beige-and-white sequin button-up with a Hawaiian-style flower pattern. And for bottoms, she chose a sequined plaid miniskirt in red, black, teal, white, and yellow. She finalized the look with pointy black heels and a red lip. You Might Also Like 4 Investment-Worthy Skincare Finds From Sephora The 17 Best Retinol Creams Worth Adding to Your Skin Care Routine
