Moroccan High School Robotics Team Wins First Place at US Global Competition
Rabat – The Moroccan robotics team 'Robotics For Future' from the 11 Janvier High School in Moulay Yacoub has won first place at the World Robotics Championship at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). The event took place in Massachusetts, United States, with the participation of 108 teams from across the world. The Moroccan team was recognized in the Robot Performance category, according to a statement from the Ministry of Education. 'Throughout the competition, the team delivered an outstanding performance, further distinguished by the selection of their innovative project as one of the best at the championship,' added the statement. It noted that the team showcased their project on the main stage in front of all participants. The Moroccan robotics team 'Robotics For Future' This marks Robotics For Future's second win at the championship, having earned the same title last year. This victory is 'the result of months of dedicated work and ambition,' says the ministry. Meanwhile, the Moulay Yacoub province says this international recognition reflects the progress being made in the fields of education and innovation, as well as the strong support provided to young talents and local initiatives. The province added that it has helped the team take part in national and international competitions and supported the creation of a special robotics space. This space was built for the team for MAD 271,750, as part of a program that supports youth development. A new innovative project is also planned for 2025. The upcoming project aims to boost creativity and develop digital and technical skills in robotics and programming. It is a partnership between the Provincial Human Development Committee, the Ministry of Education's local office, and the Matrix Association for education and cultural development. The project, launched on the 20th anniversary of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), will benefit over 4,000 students in the province and has a total budget of MAD 600,000. 40 students represent Kuwait at World Robotics Championship in Dallas
KUWAIT: Nine student teams, comprising 40 male and female students from various educational stages, are preparing to represent Kuwait at the World Robotics Championship, scheduled to take place in Dallas, United States, from May 6 to 14. This participation follows the teams' qualification through the Kuwait National Robotics Championship, organized by the Department of Computer Science at the College of Science, Kuwait University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the Public Authority for Youth, and with strategic support from private sector partners. The national competition witnessed fierce competition among more than 700 students from schools across Kuwait. Ultimately, nine outstanding teams were selected to represent the country across different categories, including elementary, middle, high school, and university levels. Over the past few months, students underwent intensive training at Kuwait University under the direct supervision of the Department of Computer Science faculty, led by Dr. Noura Al-Jeri, Executive Director of the Championship. Dr. Al-Jeri emphasized that the primary objective of the participation is to refine students' skills in artificial intelligence, programming, and engineering design, while fostering innovation, and teamwork. This initiative falls within Kuwait University's broader vision to support the community and empower youth at all educational stages. The university seeks to provide an environment that encourages creativity and innovation, thereby contributing to the preparation of a scientifically and technologically distinguished generation that will serve as the cornerstone for the university's future and the broader knowledge society in Kuwait.

Three valley schools advance to World Robotics Championship
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Three Las Vegas valley school teams secured their place in the World Robotic Championship after showcasing their engineering, programming, and team skills Saturday. The Nevada State Elementary VEX IQ Robotics Championship took place at Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, which brought together 25 teams from across the state. The participants demonstrated their skills in robot building, programming, driving, and teamwork, competing for a chance to advance to the World Robotics Championship in Dallas this May. These top three teams earned a spot in the international competition: Eagle IQ from Coral Academy Cadence of Henderson, Mythri Deadly Demons of Mythri STEM Academy of Henderson, and Cyber Storm from Engineering for Kids of Las Vegas. The VEX IQ Robotics Competition is organized by the Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation, which aims to offer elementary and middle school students a platform to explore robotics and research project challenges. By allowing students to get hands-on learning experience, the program aims to enhance students' science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills.
