JSW MG Motor India has launched the Windsor Pro in the Indian market. It is priced at ₹18.10 lakh ex-showroom. It is the new top-end variant of the Windsor EV. While initially the CUV was launched with a smaller 38 kWh battery pack, later in May 2025 the Windsor Pro was launched with a larger battery pack measured at 52.9 kWh battery pack. The carmaker has announced the new variant had clocked 8,000 bookings within 24 hours of its launch in May 2025. The carmaker stated that in addition to metros, there is a strong demand for the MG Windsor EV from emerging markets as well, with non-metros constituting almost 48 per cent of its total sales. Moreover, the MG Windsor has been recognized with more than 30 awards, including the most coveted Green Car Award 2025 by iCOTY. MG Windsor EV: Prices The MG Windsor EV was the brand's first offering with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, helping drop prices for the electric crossover by a significant margin. This has helped the automaker package the offering competitively. While with the BaaS package, the MG Windsor EV is priced between ₹ 10 lakh and ₹ 13.10 lakh for the top end Essence Pro, the outright purchase prices for the Windsor EV range is between ₹ 14 lakh to ₹ 18.10 lakh, ex-showroom. Up front, it features a split lighting design with LED daytime running lights and projector headlights, as well as an illuminated MG logo. The side profile of the car features flowing lines, large windows and alloy wheels, as well as a blacked-out pillar on certain trims, giving it a floating roof look. At the rear of the car, connected LED tail lights and a roof spoiler and a raked rear window add to the styling design. Inside, the interior uses a dark color scheme with bronze and wood accents which emphasizes the spaciousness of the cabin while a panoramic glass roof further emphasizes the spaciousness. The electric model is equipped with a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 9-speaker Infinity sound system, auto climate control, a panoramic glass roof, reclining seats, wireless charging, and more. The EV also gets six airbags, a 360-degree camera, hill hold function, and more, as part of the safety kit. MG Windsor EV: Specifications MG Windsor EV is powered by a 38 kWh battery pack across all the variants. The electric powertrain churns out 134 bhp peak power and 200 Nm of maximum torque. The EV promises up to 331 kilometre range on a single charge. Meanwhile, the Pro variants get the larger 52.9 kWh battery pack which is claimed to provide a range of 449 km on a single charge. MG sells 6,304 units in May 25 recording 40% growth
JSW MG Motor India reported sales of 6,304 units in May 2025, marking a 40% year-on-year growth over the 4,510 units sold in the same month last year. This surge in demand is largely attributed to the overwhelming response to the newly launched Pro variants of its electric vehicle, the company recently expanded its EV portfolio with the introduction of two new variants—Essence Pro and Exclusive Pro—under the Windsor Pro series. Equipped with a larger 52.9kWh battery pack, these variants deliver a certified range of 449km on a single charge. The top-spec Essence Pro offers premium features like Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V), and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging capabilities, elevating both safety and convenience for EV MG Windsor continues to dominate as India's best-selling electric car, cementing JSW MG Motor India's position as a serious contender in the EV space. Windsor Pro propels MG to post 40% sales growth in May

Check Offers JSW MG Motor India, the joint venture of JSW Group and SAIC Motor, on Sunday reported a 40 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth in sales of its passenger vehicles. The auto company has retailed 6,304 units of passenger vehicles in May 2025, as compared to 4,510 units registered in May 2024. This sales growth comes on the back of the launch of Windsor Pro, which was introduced as a long-range version of the MG Windsor EV. Since the launch of the Windsor EV, MG has claimed a significant sales uptick and attributed this surge to the upmarket electric car, which was launched with a plethora of features and most interestingly, with the choice of battery-as-a-subscription (BaaS) for the consumers. While the traditional vehicle buying model is still there, the availability of the BaaS has ramped up the appeal of the EV significantly to consumers. The car manufacturer took the same strategy for the MG Windsor Pro as well. The MG Windsor Pro was launched in two variant choices - Essence Pro and Exclusive Pro. The MG Windsor Pro comes powered by a 52.9 kWh battery pack, which enables the electric car to run up to 449 kilometres on a single charge. The MG Windsor, on the other hand, gets energy from a 38 kWh battery pack that allows it to run up to a 332 kilometres range on a full charge. However, despite the Windsor and Windsor Pro being powered by two different battery packs, power and torque output remain the same at 134 bhp and 200 Nm, respectively. MG Windsor Pro: What it offers? The MG Windsor Pro comes with a host of additional features that are not available in the regular Windsor. The Pro variant of the EV gets features such as a powered tailgate, vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging features. There is an ADAS suite that offers adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and much more. The MG Windsor EV Essence Pro costs ₹ 13.09 lakh (ex-showroom) with the BaaS model opted. Without the battery subscription plan, the MG Windsor EV Pro costs ₹ 18.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The MG Windsor Exclusive Pro variant, however, misses features like a sunroof, ventilated front seats, a PM2.5 air filter, as well as an ADAS suite. These features are available in the top-end Exclusive Pro trim. The MG Windsor EV Pro exclusive variant costs ₹ 17.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The Windsor EV Pro exclusive variant costs ₹ 12.24 lakh (ex-showroom) with the BaaS program opted. Just like the Windsor, the MG Windsor Pro also comes with battery-as-a-subscription (Baas) choice. The MG Windsor Pro comes packing a bigger 52.9 kWh battery pack, as compared to the 38 kWh battery pack of the Windsor EV. The bigger battery pack of the Windsor Pro helps the electric propulsion system churn out 134 bhp peak power and 200 Nm of maximum torque, which is the same as the Windsor. However, owing to the bigger battery pack, the Windsor Pro promises up to 449 kilometres of range on a full charge, as compared to up to 332 kilometres of range offered by the Windsor. MG Windsor Pro: Key features on offer At exterior, the MG Windsor Pro comes equipped with LED projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED front positioning lamps, LED taillights, illuminated MG logo, turn indicators on ORVMs, flush door handles, glass antenna, chrome finish on window beltline, etc. It runs on 18-inch dual-tone machined alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the Windsor Pro gets ventilated front seats, aero lounge 60:40 rear split seats, front and rear height-adjustable headrests, multi-colour LED ambient lights, rear AC vents, PM 2.5 filter, a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity paired with a nine-speaker Infinity audio system, Type A and Type C USB chargers, cruise control, smart entry system.
