Best LGBTQ TV And Movie Couples

To celebrate Pride 2025, we asked the BuzzFeed Community to tell us which LGBTQ+ TV and movie couples have the best chemistry of all time. Here are some of their top answers: First, Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez as Henry and Alex from Red, White & Royal Blue "They got me out of a shipping slump with how electric they are just from the trailer."—Anonymous, 40, New Zealand"Definitely Alex and Henry from RWRB. I haven't moved on from them and keep on reading fan fiction and watching fan videos. All to tide me over until the sequel is finally here."—Anonymous, 35, Belgium"They are incredible. The heart eyes are the best you will ever see. Same with the kisses and casual touches. No 1. 🥰."—Anonymous Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza as Agatha and Rio from Agatha All Along "Definitely Agatha and Rio. I have never been more heartbroken or more feral than seeing those two lesbians interact. There's something so beautiful about two people who would do anything for the other (even if they deny it)."—Anonymous, 21, Georgia"Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza because their chemistry is just insane and it's the biggest loss of my life."—Anonymous, 16, UK Katherine Barrell and Dominique Provost-Chalkley as Nicole and Waverly from Wynonna Earp "Their chemistry was immediately off the charts and led to Kat going from the initial three-episode contract to permanent cast member, the actors and show going on to win multiple awards. The show sadly ended five years ago, but I will never move on from the magic that was Wayhaught."—Anonymous"Their chemistry is just through the roof. The best representation I have ever seen, and so lucky that it exists."—Anonymous, 25, Belgium Kit Connor and Joe Locke as Nick and Charlie from Heartstopper "Kit and Joe have such great chemistry in real life, and it truly carries into the show. Both actors really deeply understand their characters and where they are coming from for each scene and every moment that it makes it seem so real and alive."—Anonymous Hailee Steinfeld and Katie Leung as Vi and Caitlyn from Arcane "'Cupcake...'"—Anonymous, 22 Minnesota Bella Ramsey and Isabela Merced as Ellie and Dina from The Last of Us "My experience is limited, but definitely Ellie and Dina."—Anonymous, 26 Scotland Cameron Monaghan and Noel Fisher as Ian and Mickey from Shameless "They brought us everything from laughter to joy to passion to pain, and did it all with a chemistry that made it seem effortless."—Anonymous, 49, Canada"They are the blueprint!"—Anonymous"These guys were so charismatic that when the writers split them up, people complained for MULTIPLE SEASONS until they brought Mickey back. We're talking a decade-plus of these two being together, with chemistry so good they made a minor character into a member of the main cast because he married into the family. Chemistry so good they had to do an in-character announcement online to reveal they were getting back together. Also, the fact that their story isn't all sunshine and roses meant that we got to see them trying their best to support each other, even in their awful circumstances. That doesn't always work out, but it means that their finale is so much sweeter when they overcome it all."—Anonymous, 26"They literally carried the show post-Emmy Rossum leaving! Plus, the writing and character development remained consistently good as opposed to the rest of the show."—Anonymous John Turturro and Christopher Walken as Irving and Burt from Severance "I think the most recent example I can think of that I felt had great chemistry was probably John Turturro as Irving and Christopher Walken as Burt in Severance. These two actors, who typically play vastly different types of characters (and this may have even been an entirely new avenue for both of them!), had wonderful onscreen chemistry! I loved seeing them together, seeing their love story. Even though Season 2 was frustrating in a lot of ways, the way they ended the scene at the train station was beautiful ♥️."—Anonymous, 25, Michigan Jacob Anderson and Sam Reed as Louis and Lestat from Interview with the Vampire "They just have the toxic love, so well done. The second Sam Reed as Lestat looked at Louis, you just knew he was hooked. In the last scene of Season 2, when they just embraced each other and wept…I would give my left foot to know what they were saying to each other. But you know that it's something worthy of an immortal romance reunion."—Anonymous, 21 Chicago Danielle Savre and Stefania Spampinato as Maya and Carina from Station 19 "There's good chemistry on TV, and then there's chemistry that changes the entire course of a TV show, and that's really what Danielle and Stefania had on Station 19. Their work together as Maya and Carina completely transformed the show (and their characters), and it was just brilliant to watch. For me, Maya is one of the best bisexual characters on TV. Her character arc was just so authentic."—noradominick Naya Rivera and Heather Morris as Santana and Brittany from Glee —Anonymous Dan Levy and Noah Reid as David and Patrick from Schitt's Creek "Their wedding was one of the greatest moments of TV from the COVID era (when I finally got to binge-watch the series)."—Anonymous, 42, Sydney, Australia Noémie Merlant and Adèle Haenel as Marianne and Héloïse from Portrait of a Lady on Fire "It's sapphic perfection, and their chemistry truly is on fire. 🔥."—Anonymous, 27, Delaware Liv Hewson and Jasmine Savoy Brown as Van and Tai from Yellowjackets "So much chemistry!"—Anonymous Marwan Kenzari and Luca Marinelli as Joe and Nicky from The Old Guard "Joe's van speech is the epitome of romance, and all their little touches and gestures make the relationship feel real."—Anonymous, 35, Portland, OR Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill as The Thirteenth Doctor and Yaz from Doctor Who "I'm still not remotely over the Thirteenth Doctor and Yaz. They never properly realized during their time on the show, but both admitted to having feelings for each other, and they had the most wonderful relationship regardless. Bonus: In the finale of the most recent season, three years after her exit from the show, the Thirteenth Doctor returned and, when told 'I love you' by the current Fifteenth Doctor, she responded with, 'I should say that to Yaz.' SCREAMING!"—Anonymous, 22, Illinois Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi as Stede and Ed in Our Flag Means Death "They feel organic together with their different personalities, their chemistry is on point, and they never fail to make me feel warm inside."—diamond_girl_7 Kiana Madeira and Olivia Welch as Deena and Sam from Fear Street Suggested by: luxahoy Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett as Bill and Frank in The Last of Us "Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett blew me away. I haven't cried at an episode of television like that since. Their portrayal was so real and beautiful. It was nice to see a happy queer relationship between men, as that is not as often depicted!"—Anonymous, 35, Wisconsin Keiynan Lonsdale and Tom Green as Sammy and Ollie from Dance Academy "Sammy and Ollie had excellent chemistry. We watch Sammy struggle with his sexuality for a season and a half, during which time he dates and breaks up with several girls. Then, in one episode, the dance school hosts a local football team that needs to practice their coordination. Near the end, one of the footballers asks Sammy on a date. Instead of saying he's not gay, he says he's unavailable. Sammy develops a crush on his roommate, and his friend Kat helps him explore development of Sammy's sexuality comes to a head when Sammy is held back a year, Ollie is kicked off the third-year tour, and they're assigned to each other in a tutor/student relationship. Ollie is openly gay, and Sammy is still struggling with his own sexuality. The forced proximity leads Sammy to develop a crush on Ollie. Ollie lies and pretends Sammy isn't his a whole will-they-won't-they thing for a while until they both admit their feelings and begin dating. The chemistry they have together makes them both better people, better dancers, and even better friends to each other and everyone not for all the external drama concerning Sammy's family, he and Ollie should have been endgame."—Anonymous, 35, Arizona Suranne Jones and Rose Leslie as Amy and Kirsten in Vigil "I'm going to add Suranne Jones and Rose Leslie as Amy and Kirsten in Vigil. They have beautiful chemistry on and off-screen and play off of each other really well."—ravenbard Edvin Ryding and Omar Rudberg as Wille and Simon in Young Royals Suggested by: theoatcake Caity Lotz and Jes Macallan as Sara and Ava from Legends of Tomorrow Suggested by: awfulkitten67 Danielle Brooks and Elizabeth Faith Ludlow as Leota and Keeya from Peacemaker "They're so sweet and supportive."—lovelytortoise925 Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor as Xena and Gabrielle from Xena: Warrior Princess "Can't believe no one has said Xena and Gabrielle. They had the greatest couple chemistry of all time, bar none."—coolphone30 Michael Sheen and David Tennant as Aziraphale and Crowley in Good Omens "They work together so perfectly that it's one of those rare instances where I love the show just as much as the book. Also, the friendship Michael and David developed IRL is the cutest thing ever."—aliceinautieland And finally, Mary-Louis Parker and Mary Stuart Masterson as Ruth and Idgie from Fried Green Tomatoes Suggested by: keepintabs Looking for more LGBTQ+ or Pride content? Thanks to OTT platforms, the magic of great books is now being brought to life on screen, and you can binge these gems right from your couch. From heartwarming coming-of-age stories to pulse-pounding thrillers and epic romances, here are 6 must-watch movies and web series on Amazon Prime Video: Web series 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' is based on Jenny Han's bestselling book. It is a coming-of-age romance packed with sun-soaked nostalgia and emotional rollercoasters. At the heart of it is Belly Conklin (Lola Tung), caught in a classic love triangle with brothers Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and Conrad (Christopher Briney), along with all the highs and heartbreaks of growing up. Season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty, set against breezy beaches and family traditions, will premiere on Prime Video on July 16, 2025. Reacher, starring Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher, is based on the best-selling novel series titled Jack Reacher by Lee Child. The story revolves around Jack, a retired military officer, who gets arrested for a murder he didn't commit. Stuck amidst a fatal conspiracy, he must use his wits to save himself and clear his name. With gritty and full of edge-of-your-seat moments, Reacher is Prime Video's most-watched series of 2023. With Season 4 on the horizon in 2026, it's a top pick for fans of intense. Adapted from the New York Times best-seller, Red, White & Royal Blue revolves around Alex (Taylor Zakhar Perez), the first son of the President of the United States and Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) of England. The two are public figures with a long-running rivalry that isn't very private. When forced to stage a friendship for the sake of diplomacy, their cold relationship begins to melt and sparks something more electric than either of them ever imagined. The movie has dominated viewership charts and audiences' hearts, and is now gearing up for a sequel in late 2026. Based on Mona Kasten's Save Me, this German drama dives deep into elite school politics and unexpected chemistry. When Ruby (Harriet-Herbig Matten), an intelligent scholarship student, uncovers an explosive secret about the arrogant millionaire heir James Beaufort (Damian Hardung), things take a dramatic turn. The battle between the two results in a fiery exchange that sparks something far more intense. After a successful Season 1, Maxton Hall will return for Season 2 on 7 November 2025. Better yet, there is also a Season 3 underway, promising a lot more scandal and a whole lot of secrets! The film The Idea of You, starring Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine, is based on Robinne Lee's acclaimed 2017 novel of the same name. It tells the story of Solène, a 40-year-old single mother who unexpectedly falls in love with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell, the lead singer of a famous boy band. What starts as an encounter by chance turns into a passionate relationship that challenges stereotypical conventional romance. It is perfect for when you are in the mood for something bold and emotionally charged. We Were Liars, based on E. Lockhart's best-selling young adult novel of the same name, will stream on Prime Video on 18 June 2025. As she reunites with her cousins and close friend Gat, Cadence begins piecing together the events that led to her injury, only to uncover a devastating truth no one wants to talk about. This psychological thriller, starring Emily Alyn Lind, Caitlin Fitzgerald, Candice King, and Rahul Kohli, is definitely a must-watch.

Nicholas Galitzine's thighs steal the show in first He-Man photo

Nicholas Galitzine just got loincloths damp everywhere with a peek at his He-Man debut. The Red, White & Royal Blue heartthrob just wrapped filming on Masters of the Universe, Amazon MGM Studio's long-anticipated live-action reboot of the iconic '80s franchise produced by Mattel Films and Escape Artists. To mark the moment, Galitzine posted a moody, backlit photo on Instagram, showcasing the essentials: a sword, gauntlets, boots, and the signature loincloth. Or, you know, all the parts that matter. 'Well, that's a wrap on Masters of the Universe,' he wrote in the caption. 'It has been an honour shouldering the responsibility of playing Adam and He-Man. It's been the role of a lifetime and I put everything into it.' See on Instagram Galitzine's transformation into the 'most powerful man in the universe' didn't come easily. Back in January, he told W Magazine that prepping for the role meant radically changing his lifestyle. 'I'm eating about 4,000 calories a day, but the amount of physical work I'm doing, you end up hungry at the end of the day, which is quite surprising.' The new Masters film, directed by Bumblebee's Travis Knight and written by ParaNorman's Chris Butler, promises a visually rich, high-energy adaptation that leans into both nostalgia and modern blockbuster flair. Galitzine stars as Prince Adam, who transforms into the mighty He-Man to protect his home planet, Eternia, from the evil Skeletor, played by Jared Leto. The cast also includes Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms, and Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress. Though the project has been in development limbo for years (and passed through multiple studios and He-Men, including Noah Centineo and Kyle Allen), Mattel's post-Barbie momentum seems to have finally brought it across the finish line. Masters of the Universe is slated for theatrical release on June 5, 2026, followed by streaming on Prime Video. There's no official trailer yet, but if this single shot of Galitzine with a sword and a smirk is any indication, the summer of 2026 is already too hot to handle.

Which LGBTQ TV And Movie Couples Have The Best Chemistry

There's a lot of incredible chemistry on TV. A good actor pairing can catapult two characters into being one of the most beloved couples in a TV show or movie. Both Lauren Ambrose and Tawny Cypress AND Liv Hewson and Jasmin Savoy Brown have made Van and Tai in Yellowjackets the best couple on the show. So, to celebrate Pride 2025, I'm once again asking which LGBTQ+ TV couples have such good chemistry that those actors should honestly win an award for "Best Chemistry." There's something so magical about Kit Connor and Joe Locke's portrayal of Nick and Charlie in Heartstopper. Maybe you're like me, and you cannot stop thinking about Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza's electric chemistry as Agatha and Rio/Death in Agatha All Along because they were simply so good together, it made you giggle and kick your feet every time they were on screen. Perhaps you haven't really moved on from how mesmerizing Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez are together in Red, White & Royal Blue because they brought Alex and Henry to life from Casey McQuiston's book perfectly. Maybe one thing you could give a presentation on is how absolutely stunning Bella Ramsey and Isabela Merced's chemistry is as Ellie and Dina in The Last of Us Season 2. Like, you probably have not stopped thinking about Season 2, Episode 4. Heck, perhaps you've told all of your friends that they NEED to watch Bottoms not only because it's hysterical but also because Ayo Edebiri and Havana Rose Liu have electric chemistry as Josie and Isabel. So, tell us which actors have the best chemistry as LGBTQ+ characters in a show or movie and WHY in the comments or with the Google Form below, and you could be featured in a BuzzFeed Community post!
