J.Lo Reveals Facial Injury—Requiring Stitches—Sustained During AMAs Rehearsal

Jennifer Lopez is hosting the American Music Awards this year, and has been busy at rehearsal ahead of the live show on May 26th. And apparently the multi-hyphenate somehow injured herself during rehearsals, resulting in a cut on her nose that she had to get stitched up by legendary plastic-surgeon-to-the-stars, Dr Diamond. "So this just happened," captioned a photo of herself holding an ice pack up to her face. She then revealed a cut on her nose and added "during AMAs rehearsal." went on to say that her recovery took about a week, and required stitches from Dr. Diamond: "Thank you for stitching me up Dr Diamond," she wrote. "A week later and a whole lotta ice, I'm good as new." return to the AMAs as host was announced last month, with a press release saying "We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Lopez back to host the American Music Awards. Jennifer's incredible talent and incomparable stage presence make her the ideal host of the show. We know she will bring her one-of-a-kind energy to the official kick off celebration of summer." FYI, this is second time hosting the AMAs. She hosted for the first time in 2015, opening the show with "Waiting for Tonight" along with an epic dancing medley. As Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez jets across the U.S. to battle oligarchy, her Queens district pleads with FBI chief Kash Patel to fight prostitution and drug chaos at home

As Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez pushes her national agenda, her own district is raising the alarm. Queens residents are pleading for federal assistance to combat rising crime, prostitution, and gang activity. Following a brief NYPD crackdown, locals now want the FBI to intervene to prevent what they call an escalating crisis. While AOC promotes her anti-oligarchy tour across the United States, her constituents in Queens beg for assistance at home. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like They were so beautiful before; look at them now; number 10 will Surprise you Today's NYC Undo ALSO READ: Big trouble for 'Waiting for Tonight' singer: Jennifer Lopez may be grilled in Diddy's trial as legal team scrambles to erase 1999 club shooting from record What's really happening along Roosevelt Avenue? A former Democratic state senator and other local leaders wrote to FBI Director Kash Patel last week, urging him to deploy agents to address the raging problem along Roosevelt Avenue, a 2-mile commercial strip that has been compared to both a red-light district and a Third World Country, where it is common to see instances of prostitution, as quoted in a report by Fox News. Live Events They claimed that the gangs had transformed Roosevelt Avenue into the marketplace for their 'well-oiled criminal machine.' Roosevelt Avenue has more than just a gang issue. It is now considered gangland. They also assert that the brutal 18th Street Gang has taken over illicit activities there, displacing other gangs such as Tren de Aragua following a large-scale police operation that resulted in hundreds of arrests. Hundreds of city and state troopers descended on the neighborhood as part of that police crackdown, known as "Operation Restore Roosevelt," which began in October. With more than 1,800 arrests and more than 15,000 summonses, the NYPD told Fox News Digital that the crackdown has led to a 37% year-to-date decrease in crime in the Roosevelt Avenue zone. Why are Queens leaders turning to the FBI? Former Democrat state senator Hiram Monserrate and the two organizations, Neighbors of the American Triangle and Restore Roosevelt Ave., urged Patel to look into the "ever-worsening situation" they are facing. Local leaders claim Roosevelt Avenue has become a hotspot for gangs, trafficking, and drug dealing, and they want answers. Now, all eyes are on FBI Director Kash Patel to take action. After leading the vigorous 90-day police blitz, New York City Mayor Eric Adams received a tonne of praise from local activists and residents. Locals, however, claim the blitz was short-lived and that bars have been transformed into makeshift brothels where prostitution can be easily negotiated in dingy rooms downstairs after a dance. According to the leaders, a large number of prostitution workers are immigrants. "The NYPD's Operation Restore Roosevelt did lead to arrests, but our street sources say the gangs replaced their foot soldiers within days," the advocates said. The dance floors remained open, the money kept flowing, and the prostitutes returned in full force. This issue is not unique to Queens; it serves as a model for how traffickers, cartels, and gangs can easily take over a community, as per a report by Fox News. The 18th Street gang has marked their territory with gang insignia. According to Monserrate, the gangs are engaged in a wide range of violent crimes, illegal gun sales, identity theft, drug and human trafficking, and the distribution of fake Green Cards. According to his sources, there are at least 20 brothels in the region, some of which are located close to educational institutions. Rep. Grace Meng, D-N.Y., who represents the neighborhood in her district, told Fox News Digital that she keeps a close eye on the NYPD's continuous efforts to enhance the neighborhood's quality of life and public safety. FAQs What do residents in AOC's district want? Residents are urging the FBI and DEA to intervene and address the rising crime, sex trafficking, and gang activity that has taken over parts of Roosevelt Avenue in Queens. Has anything been done so far to address the issues? A 90-day NYPD blitz provided temporary relief, but residents report that the gangs quickly returned, and illegal activity resumed, transforming bars into brothels and streets into gang territory.

Fans spot awkward detail in JLo's Formula One picture after visiting Ferrari garage in skintight pink bodysuit: 'We all know what he's looking at'

Fans have spotted an awkward detail that will leave one Ferrari team member embarrassed after Jennifer Lopez posed for a picture in their garage. Lopez, 55, cut a striking figure in a figure-hugging, Barbie-pink one-piece as she walked through the paddock and pits at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, chatting to F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali and popping in to visit the Ferrari team. The music and movie superstar was seen posing alongside a number of the Ferrari staff, as she prepared to perform at the event in Jeddah. However, the picture has now gone viral after fans spotted a particularly awkward detail regarding one of the Ferrari crew members. In one picture, where JLo was front and centre among the team's staff, one member appeared distracted and was looking towards the star, rather than at the camera. One fan wrote: 'My boy has his eyes on the prize', while another said: 'We all know what he's gazing at'. The music and movie superstar was all smiles in her skintight pink bodysuit at the event A third user on X said: 'I wonder where he's looking' with a series of emojis - including a peach - accompanying the message. Lopez's performance after qualifying - which saw her joined by Party Next Door, Major Lazer and Usher - was her first performance at an F1 event in 11 years, after she previously headlined at the 2014 Singapore Grand Prix. Shortly after Lopez was spotted on the broadcast, F1 commentator David Croft made an awful joke about the superstar. While JLo was posing for photos, Croft quipped, 'I'm surprised she's here at the moment - I thought she was waiting for tonight. 'JLo fans would've got that.' The TV star's groan-worthy joke was a riff on Lopez's 1999 hit 'Waiting for Tonight'. On the track, world champion Max Verstappen snatched pole position with a stunning lap that put him just in front of Australia's Oscar Piastri. But the real story of qualifying was the shocking blow to Lando Norris's bid to become world champion, which saw the McLaren star crash into the wall in Q3. Fans online were quick to suggest the Ferrari man was 'gazing' at the American star The Briton will now start from 10th on the grid as he tries to protect the three-point lead he has over teammate Piastri in the driver standings. Norris he called himself a 'f****** idiot' as he assured the team he was physically unharmed while still in the cockpit. Norris's contribution ended when he lost control through the chicane and travelled over the kerbs. He tried to wrestle his car back but there was no catching it, and he was sent into the left-hand wall. Turns 4 and 5 of the 27, and he was out of the reckoning at the start of Q3. McLaren chief executive Zak Brown has not given up hope of a Norris revival. 'Just focus on the race,' he said of their approach. 'It will probably be a one-stop, but we can't rule out a safety car'.
