FUGŌ's Theme Song For 'Ejen Ali The Movie 2' – 'Some Other Day' – Is An Emotionally-Resonant Anthem
You don't have to be an Ejen Ali fan to feel the emotional pull of 'Some Other Day.' This track by Kuala Lumpur's indie trio FUGŌ is like a warm hug from a close friend – universally relatable and quietly powerful. More Than Just A Movie Soundtrack While it's the official soundtrack for Ejen Ali The Movie 2, 'Some Other Day' isn't your typical action flick anthem. Instead of fading into the background, it steps forward with emotional clarity, inviting listeners to pause, reflect, and breathe amidst the movie's high-tech spy thrills. The song carries a tender message about change, friendship, and resilience that resonates well beyond the screen. FUGŌ's Heartfelt Sound If FUGŌ is new to you, 'Some Other Day' is the perfect intro. Formed in 2019, the trio – Hakim Kamal (vocals and guitar), Kayrol Ami (bass), and Fai (keys) – have built their reputation in the local indie scene with heartfelt, mellow acoustic vibes and honest lyrics that feel like a personal conversation. Their sound blends gentle guitars with dreamy synth layers, creating a cinematic yet intimate atmosphere. Compared to earlier tracks like 'Waiting' and 'As Long As We Stay,' this song focuses less on sonic experimentation and more on emotional clarity, holding space for quiet reflection and hope. A Soothing Anthem For The Heart Lines like 'Dan kita akan okay, and we will be alright' linger long after the song ends. It's a soft, reassuring reminder for anyone navigating tough seasons, but still clinging to hope. This makes the track not just a soundtrack piece, but a comforting anthem for listeners. If you've been missing a friend or feeling low, 'Some Other Day' gently voices what you might struggle to say – it's like a musical hug: steady, sincere, and quietly uplifting. By balancing the film's adrenaline with emotional depth, the track also makes Ejen Ali The Movie 2 more accessible and meaningful to audiences of all ages. Wife of accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann says he's her ‘hero' — and reveals creepy take on first jailhouse visit
The wife of accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann says he's her 'hero'' — and that it was like falling in love with him all over again when she first saw him behind bars. Asa Ellerup, 61, said during an explosive interview in the upcoming Peacock docu-series 'The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets' that she is convinced cops have the wrong guy — and that her 'wonderful' husband isn't the monster who killed and mutilated seven sex workers on Long Island over nearly 30 years. 'I know what bad men are capable of doing,' she told the show, which begins airing Tuesday. 'I've seen it, and I've heard it from other men. Not my husband. You have the wrong man.' 'I want him to come back home to me,' Ellerup said. 'They're trying to sit there and tell me that, but I have no knowledge of what they keep talking about. 'Oh, you must have known.' Know what? My husband was home here. He's a family man, period.' Heuermann, a hulking Manhattan architect, was arrested in July 2023 at his Midtown office and charged with the cold-case murders of three young sex workers. Suffolk County prosecutors later also charged him with the murder and mutilation of four other victims, all also sex workers whose bodies were dumped along Ocean Parkway over nearly 30 years. He allegedly kept news clippings of the brutal slayings in his basement. Despite a mountain of evidence, including DNA matches to all the victims, among them hairs from Ellerup and the couple's daughter, Victoria, the accused fiend's wife continues to believe her husband is innocent. Adopted by Icelandic immigrants, Ellerup met a 'tall, dark, handsome' Heuermann when she was an 18-year-old working at a Long Island 7-Eleven, she said, adding that the pair formed an immediate bond. Ellerup said she was molested at 16 by a classmate, tried to commit suicide and was forced to hide in a dumpster for hours at 19 to foil a kidnapping attempt — making the hulking Heuermann her savior. She said he has stuck with her through more recent travails, too, including a double mastectomy. 'He's my hero,' she said. 'There were times where he was working, but I'd call him, and he would come by and pick me up.' The pair formed a years-long, platonic bond that eventually turned into a romance as their first marriages fizzled and they moved in together — which led to their wedding in Sweden in 1995. The next year, their daughter, Victoria, was born. These days, Ellerup said, she's brought to tears by the Buddy Holly tune 'Crying, Waiting, Hoping.' She denied claims that the couple had 'swinger' parties in the past, calling the notion 'absurd' — and maintained Heuermann would never ask. She appeared to be in denial of some of the evidence Suffolk County prosecutors pulled from the couple's home, including sick porn involving videos, claiming she doesn't know if the footage is actually his. She also claimed her husband didn't solicit hookers, although she said she believes prostitution should be legal. Ellerup filed for divorce shortly after her husband's arrest, but their daughter maintained in the documentary that the move was 'to protect the assets.' Despite the divorce filing, Ellerup said she regularly speaks to her husband behind bars. 'I haven't seen him in all this time, and when I went down there, I was excited, and like I was, I don't know, I guess on a first date. You're nervous, you're scared. You don't know how the date is gonna go,' she said. But she said she hasn't gone to see him in several months and is paranoid about their conversations being recorded behind bars — which makes her afraid to be open with him. 'Telling him that I love him, that will hurt him,' Ellerup said. 'What I want to say to him is, 'I love you, no matter what.' But I don't even want to say 'no matter what' because I don't believe he did this. I don't see what everybody else is saying. I don't see phone calls to sex workers. 'I'm trying to keep myself sane,' she said. 'At the same time, people are saying, 'How could you not know that your husband was a serial killer?' Wait a minute, I picked him up from the train station every single day. He was home here on the weekends. He smoked a cigar in the garage.' 'If he told me that he went out to Lowe's to pick something up and he was gone for an hour, no freaking way is this man going out soliciting sex from a sex worker, killing them and dumping them on Gilgo Beach.' She did have one issue with her embattled husband — she doesn't like his new haircut. Additional reporting by Mikella Schuettler and David DeTurris

Inside Hugh Jackman's new relationship after Deborra-lee 'betrayal' statement
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness' split has taken an unexpected turn with the Waiting actor opening up on her experience with 'betrayal.' The Wolverine star, 56, and his ex-wife, 69, announced their separation in September 2023, which appeared to be amicable. But Deborra has since seemingly hinted at adultery playing a part in their shock split, releasing a statement talking about 'betrayal' amid the breakdown of her 27-year marriage. An insider told MailOnline that Hugh was 'extremely disappointed' to read Deborra's statement just days after she filed for divorce. Since their split, Hugh has moved on with another actor, with reports suggesting they are set to move in together. Hugh confirmed he was dating Broadway star Sutton Foster 16 months after splitting from Deborra. Just days prior to the announcement, the X-Men icon was spotted watching the 50-year-old actor on stage in Once Upon a Mattress in Los Angeles' Ahmanson Theatre. Their budding romance comes just months after Sutton filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, Screenwriter Ted Griffin, in October 2024. It is thought that Hugh and Sutton first met after starring in the Broadway show The Music Man together in 2022. The pair both praised each other after starring together, with Sutton telling People in June 2024: 'He's one of the greatest guys ever, an incredible costar. I think everyone already knows that, though.' During a joint appearance with Sutton on Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2022, Hugh also gushed: 'This is a six-time Tony nominee, two-time winner. Like, I saw her do Thoroughly Modern Millie when you were like 4 years old. But I've watched everything she's done. It's amazing.' Sutton is best known as a Broadway actor who made her stage debut in 1996 in Grease as Sandy Dumbrowski. She has since had roles in Shrek the Musical, Anything Goes, and Thoroughly Modern Millie, which earned her her first Tony Award. Sutton has also made the move into the world of film and TV with roles in The Marvellous Mrs Maisel, The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, and Younger. Like her ex-husband, Deborra is an actor who began her career in an unlikely fashion. She first got a job as an assistant to the news director at Channel 9 in Australia before being asked to work on the daytime current affairs programme No Man's Land. She first performed on the stage after graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in the 80s before landing her first movie role in Shame in 1998. She went on to star in the likes of TV miniseries Stark and Michael Rymer's Angel Baby before landing the title role in the TV series Correlli in 1995. Hugh and Deborra-Lee first met on the set of Correlli and instantly became inseparable, with the Wolverine actor getting down on one knee just months later. Neither Hugh nor Deborra has publicly announced why the couple has split, but the latter recently hinted at infidelity in their relationship. Deborra spoke about 'navigating betrayal' in a statement released on May 28, just days after filing for divorce. 'My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,' she began. 'It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however, I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.' She then specifically spoke about her 27-year marriage to Hugh, saying: 'This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. 'I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose. 'It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom. She then added 'that none of this is personal,' and said: 'We are all on our individual journeys and I believe that the relationships in our lives are not random. 'We are drawn to people, we invite them in, in order to learn our lessons and to recognise and heal the broken parts of ourselves…I remain grateful,' she concluded her statement to MailOnline. Hugh has since responded to the statement, with an insider saying he was 'extremely disappointed.' 'Hugh was extremely disappointed after reading what his ex had said,' an insider told MailOnline. 'There was no stipulation that she could not address this, but there was an unwritten understanding that she would not trash him to the press.' The insider suggested that Deborra 'got around' this agreement and added that Hugh 'caved' to her divorce requests. 'She got around this by not naming him – instead focusing on how she felt. 'Hugh knows that he cannot change anything, and it is unfortunate that Deb feels the way she did given the fact that he caved in to all of her divorce requests.' Announcing their separation in September 2023, the couple was amicable. 'We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,' their joint statement to People at the time read. 'Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.' More Trending 'Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. 'We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.' Hugh and Deborra share two adopted children named Oscar, 25, and Ava, 19. Metro has reached out to representatives for Deborra-Lee Furness and Hugh Jackman for comment. Got a story? Melodic house group Mistier reveal playlist ahead of latest release Waiting
AS they continue to redefine the boundaries of melodic house music, US-based group Mistier invite listeners on an emotional and immersive journey with their latest release, Waiting. With support from dance music royalty, such as Armin van Buuren, Will Clarke, and Roger Sanchez, Mistier have carved out a unique space in contemporary electronic music. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 2 New release Waiting was inspired by events at Burning Man festival The visual art collective is led by vocalist, producer, and composer Andre Mistier. While he serves as the creative core of the project, Mistier collaborates with a network of artists and producers to bring their immersive sound to life. Waiting, is their most profound release to date, a vocally rich, soul-stirring track that blends euphoric grooves with poetic lyricism. Inspired by the luminous, transformative moments of sunrise at Burning Man in the Nevada Desert, Waiting captures a search for connection and meaning amid a kaleidoscope of synths, rhythms, and live instrumentation. 2 Andre Mistier offers up a melodic masterpiece in Waiting Curated to compliment the release, Andre has compiled an exclusive playlist for us that reflects Mistier's evolving sonic identity, where melody meets depth, and each track tells a story. Plug in and drift through an ever-expanding world of sound: Ben Bohmer – Breathing It's really just a beautiful song. The mood, the vocal performance and tone, the production. I feel like everything I love about Ben Bohmer is encapsulated in this track. Breathing was a definite influence on our next single, called Waiting. Mistier – Waiting I wrote this track thinking about a moment at Burning Man during sunrise, watching people bike by, waiting for my girlfriend (now wife) to arrive. Thinking about how all these people were off on their own explorations and adventures, and all of them are different lives and journeys (what would life be like if I was one of that group?). Then reaffirming that I was where I wanted to be, waiting for the person I wanted to be with. I wanted this track to evoke the mixed feelings of sadness, longing, joy, and the haunting and beautiful quality of sunrise. Panama & Tinlicker - Fade Into Black I love Tinlicker! Their combination of beautiful melodies, powerful grooves, and stirring transitions always uplifts me. This track is a particular favourite - I feel like the combination of Panama's gorgeous vocals and lyrics with Tinlicker's swelling sound just gives me something I need all of the time. I often listen to this track as the first thing I do when I step outside in the morning. Aaron Hibell, Alex Wann - Set Me Free I love his mix of afro and melodic house - it can feel so uplifting and poignant at the same time. Besides his well-crafted and beautiful sound, Alex Wann has a gorgeous touch with how he builds and leads the energy into his drops. I feel the same energy and elevation inside me every time I reach those moments in this track, no matter how many times I hear it. I have definitely been inspired by how he does that and studied it for my current writing and productions. Mistier - The Time Is Now The Time is Now celebrates a couple of important ideas to me. First, that there truly is no moment but the present. Every moment is a now, the past a use of the present for recollection and the future a use of the present for projection. Once you accept this, then every moment as being now is connected, one infinite now. Second, get up! There is no other time but now. There is no point in waiting - we have this moment to do what we will, so seize your life! Also, I love the bassline for this track. . . CamelPhat, Yannis - Hypercolour (ARTBAT Remix) CamelPhat and ARTBAT are 2 of my absolute favourite artists. Yes, their combination for "For a Feeling (feat. Rhodes)" is also great, but this track, to me, is one of my all-time favourites. The break and build-back that starts at 3:10 is so intense and dramatic that it just takes my head off. This is everything I like about each of these artists wrapped together and flung off the top of a majestic cliff. There is a short version but treat yourself to a full 8-minute extended version. You deserve it. Rufus du Sol - Surrender A couple of years ago, for my wife's birthday, we tried something called KAP (Kundalini Activation Process). It's meant to be a high-powered jump into activating your Kundalini. We all had very different reactions, but mine was the most intense visual trip of my life (involving no substances). Swathes of pastel colours - at one point, I was rowing through the sky - at another, riding a hippo on a rainbow. It was intense and vivid! The high point of this experience was when this beautiful song came on. And, wouldn't you know it, a peaceful summer rain started right as he began to sing, "Let the rain come down." That was actually the first time I had ever heard this song. It was a tremendous experience and one that I vividly remember every time I hear it. Mistier - In You (Lost & Found) I am amazed and delighted by how love can fulfil such contradictory needs in us at the same time. I am overwhelmed and lost in you. I am found and safe in you. You make me feel like I am so powerful. Your opinion means more to me than my own etc. What we see in ourselves through becoming truly vulnerable to another person is just remarkable and life-affirming. That's what this song is about. Francis Mercer, Nitefreak, Idd Aziz - Kamili To me, afro house at its best can evoke so many feelings at the same time. This gorgeous track is intense, haunting, joyful, good to dance in the sunlight, in the moonlight, good to walk in the rain, good for cooking, good for the car . . . you get the idea. It moves me deeply in basically any context I have ever heard it. Peter Gabriel - In Your Eyes (Secret World Live) If you were alive in the 80s or have ever seen a John Hughes movie, this is likely an incredibly important song to you. But honestly, if you are a human being with a heart and soul, this song either is or should be an important song to you. Peter Gabriel is connected to truth, and this love song has such specificity. It's just one of the greatest songs of all time. But this live version takes it to a whole other level - from 4-minute pop song to 10-minute afro-fused anthemic festival of joy, love and music. It's both one of the most anthemic music experiences ever and yet still nonchalant at the same time. It feels so pure and authentic. And the singing! Wow! Knocks me over every time. To me this song is where the mix of afro house and melodic house that really moves me got its start, in both sound and mood.
