Lifeguards had just closed their towers twenty minutes before but were nearby and rushed back. 'They were first on scene, they were able to turn their trucks around and be the first responders from our fire rescue department,' Moran told WSVN. Family Photo Eslam Saad, the good Samaritan on vacation from Ohio, told WSVN that he didn't hesitate when he heard the cries for help. Advertisement 'I didn't think about anything. I didn't even tell my wife I'm going in the water again. I just jumped into the water,' Saad told WSVN. Saad struggled desperately in the rough conditions, swallowing gulps of water trying to stay afloat. He told local outlets that he barely was able to get out of the ocean himself. 'I was able to hear my youngest girl crying, my wife,' said Saad. Saad said once he finally reached one of Wilson's daughters that he encouraged her to keep calm, according to WSVN. Saad told the girl to stand on his shoulder and leap toward help, according to WTVJ. 'I think I did my best to get her closer to the shore, and after that, she stood on my shoulder and jumped toward the beach outside,' he told WTVJ. 'I was drowning also. Jonnu Smith hoping 'his dream team' Dolphins don't trade him
Jonnu Smith is hoping he won't be traded by the Miami Dolphins, according to his agent. "Here's what I will say on behalf of my client: Jonnu would definitely like to stay in Miami," Smith's agent Drew Rosenhaus said on WSVN, via Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. "That's his first choice. This is where he lives in the offseason. He had a record breaking season last year. It was the best season ever for a Miami Dolphin tight end. Advertisement "His dream team is the Dolphins. Hopefully, everything works out where he can stay in Miami." Smith, 29, broke the Dolphins' franchise records for receptions (88), receiving yards (884), and receiving touchdowns (8) in a season by a tight end in 2024. It was his first year with Miami after joining the team on a two-year, $8.4 million deal in free agency. But after earning Pro Bowl honors with his record-breaking numbers, Smith has reportedly asked for a pay raise heading into the 2025 season. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Smith "wants a lot" and the Dolphins have reportedly looked to the trade market rather than agree to the tight end's request. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Dolphins have spoken with the Pittsburgh Steelers about a deal involving Smith. Arrest warrant issued for former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown on attempted murder
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown on a charge of attempted murder. CNN affiliate WSVN previously reported the news and has since provided a copy of the warrant to CNN. Authorities in Miami-Dade County are seeking to arrest Brown after gunshots were fired at an amateur boxing event in May. CNN has contacted the Miami Police Department for comment. CNN has also contacted Brown for comment. In a post on X on Friday, Brown posted a video of himself on a bicycle, with the hashtag '#lovefromthemiddleeast.' Brown posted on X last month that he had been 'jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me.' He said police released him after hearing his side of the story. Videos posted on social media showed a chaotic scene – including crowds running from what sounds like two gunshots. According to the warrant, an off-duty officer working inside the venue where the event was being held went outside where people had told him there had just been gunshots. Once outside, he said he saw Brown in a fight with another man. Per the warrant, 'several' people attending the event told the officer that Brown had been the shooter, although police did not find a weapon on Brown when he was patted down. The warrant states that officers found two spent shell casings and an empty gun holster at the scene. According to the warrant, detectives later determined through surveillance footage at the venue and speaking to witnesses that Brown punched a man during a 'large physical altercation,' and 'several other individuals' started to attack the man until security intervened. The warrant says that Brown later appeared to take the gun of a security officer and ran after the man he had punched, who had just walked away from the enclosed area. Cell phone video obtained from social media shows Brown with the gun in his hand approaching the man, and the video captures sound of two gunshots, according to the warrant. Brown played for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2010 to 2018, where he emerged as one of the NFL's top receiving threats and twice led the league in receiving yards. He was later traded to the Oakland Raiders, who released him from his contract after various on- and off-the-field issues before the start of the 2019 season. He split his final three NFL seasons with New England and Tampa Bay, and his career ended with Brown stripping off his jersey, pads and gloves, while walking off the field during the Buccaneers' 2021 Week 17 game against the New York Jets. Brown announced his retirement a few months later. CNN's Jill Martin and Jada Furlow contributed to this report.

Man's seven chilling words after 'stabbing young hairstylist to death'
Jackson Sagesse, 27, has been charged with premeditated murder and attempted first-degree murder after allegedly stabbing a successful young hair stylist to death A huge 280lb knifeman is said to have bragged to police he had stabbed a successful young hairstylist to death with a steak knife. Hailey Horsford had only just exited a rental car after arriving in Retreat at Sawgrass Village in Sunrise, Florida at 1.30am on May 8 when she is said to have spotted armed Jackson Sagesse approach her in the darkness. The 27-year-old allegedly then jumped into the back of her car, a black Mercedes, on the rear passenger side. An affidavit alleges that Sagesse ripped the door from its handle. Horsford was found after she was stabbed multiple times, with her male friend left injured. The New York Post, which viewed the affidavit, reports Sagesse allegedly boasted "I just killed someone and walked away" while he was being read his Miranda rights. According to the police, a physical altercation between Hosford and Sagesse was captured on CCTV in which the Sagesse could be seen making repeated stabbing motions into the car. Sagesse could then be seen exiting the car, and is confronted by Ms Horsford's friend, with the two involved in a "violent confrontation" before Sagesse stabs the unnamed man in the throat. He managed to escape and later called the police, with Sagesse allegedly returning to the vehicle and mounting a failed bid to escape before he is seen searching the area and then leaving the garage. Police arrived at the scene to find Hosford unresponsive having suffered multiple stab wounds to her neck and throat. She was pronounced dead at 2.01am. Her friend, who survived the attack, suffered a puncture wound to the throat. Hosford was a successful hair stylist who owned her own beauty salon in Fort Lauderdale. She also worked as a teacher and ambassador for a yoga and retreat company. Her friends have remembered the stylist as a "force to be reckoned with". Aubrey Rosebrock told local outlet WSVN she believed her friend "fought" and that "she was scared" during the encounter that claimed her life. She said: "I know she was a fighter; I believe she fought, and I believe she was scared." Mr Rosebeck also revealed the heartbreaking final message he received from Ms Horsford. He said: "Her very last message to me was, 'I just wanted to tell you that the sun is shining, the sky is blue, the water is turquoise, and that I love you much, and that you mean the world to me,' and that was the very last thing she said." Police later revealed that detectives searching inside the phone found blood smeared on the back door and discovered two kitchen knives were missing. Sagesse later said he was "murdering for self-defense" after seeing what he claimed was a suspicious-looking car. However, he failed to justify the threat that led to his actions. Sagesse was charged with premeditated murder and attempted first-degree murder. He remains in the Broward County Jail, where he was placed after booking, and is being held without bail.
