Police were involved in a pursuit of a stolen car which had been used in multiple burglaries. The cloned BMW 140 was spotted in Shirley. Officers from the roads policing team stung the car and then pursued it. Police said the driver was found to be wanted in connection with over six serious alleged offences. Inside the car officers said they found a large amount of drugs and cash. Police inquiries are ongoing. "It was stung then pursued before both occupants were arrested following a decamp. "Inside was a large amount of drugs & cash plus the driver was wanted x6 for serious offences."

A supercar driver was pulled over by police on a West Midlands motorway. The lime green vehicle was stopped on the M42. A photograph taken of the scene showed the Lamborghini pulled up on a car park, with a marked police car also parked nearby. One was that the vehicle did not possess a front registration plate. Another was that the car did not hold a valid MOT. As a result, the driver was reported. WMP Traffic posted on X (formerly Twitter): "D-Unit #ANPRInterceptors sighted this #Lamborghini on the M42 without a front registration plate. "Upon further inspection the vehicle did not hold a valid MOT. "Driver reported." Under UK law, all cars and vehicles on the road must display a front number plate. Failure to do so can carry a £1,000 penalty. Driving without a valid MOT can also carry a £1,000 penalty.
