Wisconsin State Fair releases Cream Puff lineup with chocolate flavor & contests

(WFRV) – The Wisconsin State Fair is on the horizon, and now, attendees can plan for their choice of iconic Cream Puffs during the annual 11-day celebration of the Dairyland State. Officials from the Wisconsin State Fair revealed the lineup of the beloved sweet staples of the event, with the usual return of Original Cream Puffs and some additional flavors. Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport adds several flights for Packers games, including one against Steelers Chocolate Cream Puffs will be available on the menu for the entirety of the Wisconsin State Fair, alongside Celebration Strawberry Cream Puffs. In addition, there are some Cream Puff-themed events this year. Celebrity Cream Puff Eating Competition – On August 7, the annual contest features various Wisconsin personalities who will compete for the crown in a quick and high-intensity competition. Cream Puff Lovin' Celebration – On the second-to-last day of the Wisconsin State Fair, attendees will be able to compete on-stage in a 'Fairgoer' Cream Puff Eating Competition. Door County business owner wins SUV on 'The Price is Right' Also, from Monday, August 4, through Friday, August 8, those who want more Cream Puffs can pick up orders from the State Fair's drive-thru for at-home sweetness. Ashwaubenon Public Safety hosts annual ‘Bike Rodeo' to teach youth about cycling safety

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WFRV) – The Ashwaubenon School District and Ashwaubenon Public Safety combined efforts on Tuesday afternoon to host the annual Bike Rodeo. The annual free event invites children ages 4-12 to the Ashwaubenon Community Center to teach them safe biking practices. Sheriff in Wisconsin reminding cyclists that motor traffic rules apply to bicycles after video shows biker ignoring stop sign Lunch was provided for free courtesy of a summer program, and participants were able to earn a chance to win a new bike. This year saw a new participant, with the Green Bay Action Sports Organization providing a mobile skate park to showcase the thrill of action-packed sports and skateboarding. (WFRV) – The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Brown County has hosted a picnic at Bay Beach Amusement Park for over 20 years, bringing mental health awareness to the forefront. On Tuesday morning, the annual free community event returned, inviting mental health professionals, local leaders and those battling mental illnesses to gather for food and a day of fun. Manitowoc County man with revoked license arrested for 5th OWI, charged with THC possession

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – A Manitowoc County man with a revoked license was arrested on his 5th OWI charge after a 9 a.m. traffic stop last Friday. A release from the Wisconsin State Patrol states that during a traffic safety enforcement around 9:10 a.m. on Friday, June 13, a trooper stopped a vehicle on North Richmond Street and West Lindbergh Street in Appleton. During the traffic stop, 39-year-old Michael Chanthavong of Reedsville was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 5th offense, after the trooper noticed signs of impairment. One victim shot in the leg, Oconto County deputies investigating disturbance After an investigation that included Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, Chanthavong was taken to a local hospital for an evidentiary blood draw and then transported to the Outagamie County Jail. Authorities noted that Chanthavong was also charged with possession of THC/marijuana and operating after revocation of his driver's license. No additional details were provided.
