Tickets on sale for exclusive Superman screening at Vue Hamilton
Those who book the slot can also take home a very special piece of comic book history. To mark the arrival of the highly-anticipated relaunch of Superman, Vue Cinema in Hamilton is holding an extra-special screening of the film – with those who book the slot taking home a very special piece of comic book history. Taking place during the film's opening weekend, on Friday, July 11, there will be just one Superman Hero Screening at Vue Hamilton and every booking for the limited screening will come with a copy of All Star Superman No.1 - the comic that inspired James Gunn's new take on the Man of Steel - to pick up on the day. Tickets for the screening are available to book now, however the offer will only be available while stocks last. The film introduces David Corenswet as Clark Kent (Pearl and Hollywood) and Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Lois Lane, alongside a whole new roster of DC characters. The latest superhero outing has fans excited for what is expected bold new take on the franchise – with Superman as you've never seen him before. Teresa Hussain, general manager at Vue Hamilton, said: 'We know how excited audiences are for James Gunn's interpretation of Superman. 'This exclusive screening gives fans the rare opportunity to take home a special piece of cinematic history - the very comic issue that helped shape the film's story.' The All Star Superman No.1 giveaway is one comic per booking – not per ticket – and only applies to tickets purchased for the Superman Hero Screening on July 11. Hamilton cinema launches special X-Men screening season
The showings at Vue Hamilton celebrate this year's 25th anniversary Hamilton's cinema is hosting a 'marvellous superhero' season – bringing back classic X-Men films to the big screen to mark the 25th anniversary of the beloved franchise's debut. Vue's month of special screenings showcases Marvel's mutant team including favourites such as Cyclops, Storm, Professor X and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine – with film fans, families and comic book enthusiasts invited to rediscover the original big screen superhero team. Special screenings at the Palace Grounds cinema begin from today, Friday May 16, with screenings of X-Men and X-Men 2 and continue all the way through until June. The programme begins this weekend with X-Men and X-Men 2 introducing moviegoers to the characters' world where 'Professor Charles Xavier and his band of heroes must protect the world, and mutant-kind themselves, from the evil forces such as Sabretooth, William Stryker and the legendary villain Magneto, starring Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. Next at the Hamilton cinema, the series' First Class and Days of Future Past movies will be screened from Friday, June 6, 'revisiting the origins behind the friendship and mortal adversary between Professor X and Magneto. this time played by James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, [and] dives back into the 1960s and 70s to explain how the team originally learned how to control their powers'. The beloved final tale starring Hugh Jackman's Wolverine Logan, where the character embarks on 'a claws-out adventure with a mysterious young girl who is showing similar mutant powers to him' will be on the big screen on Friday, June 13. 'We're hugely excited to bring one of the first franchises to start it all, The X-Men, back to Vue – offering a way for families and fans to enjoy their favourite mutant moment.
