Tamil cinema celebrities express grief over the Ahmedabad plane crash incident
The devastating crash of Air India flight AI 171, which killed 242 people on board in Ahmedabad on Thursday, has engulfed the nation in grief and sorrow. Even as the airlines scrambles to understand the reason behind the tragedy, several people, including celebrities, condoled the untimely demise of the victims and extended support to their families. Actors Kamal Haasan, Ravi Mohan, Vishnu Vishal, Simran and many others took to their social media handles to express their shock and deep sadness for the bereaved Haasan wrote that the incident has 'left the nation stunned in sorrow'. "In this tragic hour, my heart reaches out to the victims and their grieving families," he said. Ravi Mohan shared that he felt saddened to hear about the crash and sent his prayers for the affected families. Vishnu Vishal highlighted how "life is brutal" and extended his support to the people who lost their loved ones. Simran said she was "disturbed" by the news about the plane crash and hoped for the passengers' safety. Actor Keerthy Suresh wrote that it was "heart-wrenching to even imagine what the victim's families must be going through." Actor-politician Khushbu Sundar also said she was in disbelief to hear about the news and said, "God be with them." Director Venkat Prabhu and actors Soori and Aathmika too had written a post on X, sharing their condolences and extending their prayers.

Vishnu Vishal-Ramkumar's Irandu Vaanam wraps filming
Weeks after revealing the first look poster from actor Vishnu Vishal starrer Irandu Vaanam, the makers announced on Tuesday that the production has wrapped. The actor on his social media appreciated director Ramkumar for making "something unique and interesting again". The film was under production for 150 days. Irandu Vaanam, which has Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, marks the third collaboration between Ramkumar and Vishnu Vishal, following Mundasupatti and Ratsasan. The film's first look was suggestive of a romantic and fantastical themes. Joining Ramkumar in the technical crew are music composer Dhibu Ninan Thomas, cinematographer Dinesh K Babu, editor San Lokesh, art director A Gopi Anand, and stunt choreographer Vicky. Ramkumar is returning to direction almost seven years after Ratsasan (2018). Meanwhile, Vishnu Vishal, last seen in Lal Salaam, has Mohandas and Aaryan in the pipeline. Sathya Jyothi Films is producing Irandu Vaanam. Plot details, rest of the cast, and release details regarding Irandu Vaanam are yet to be made by the makers.

Vishnu Vishal shares update on 'Irandu Vaanam' as film enters 150th day of shoot!
Actor Vishnu Vishal , who plays the lead along with Mamitha Baiju in director Ramkumar 's film Irandu Vaanam, on Tuesday announced that the film had entered its last day of shoot. Interestingly, Vishnu Vishal also pointed out that the day marked the 150th day of the film's shooting. Taking to his X timeline to put out the update, he wrote, "Last day of #IranduVaanam... 150th day of been a journey that you also will get to feel on the big screen soon.... @dir_ramkumar has cooked something unique and interesting you @SathyaJyothi." The film has raised huge expectations as director Ramkumar is joining hands with Vishnu Vishal for a third film after delivering two superhits in 'Mundasupatti' and 'Ratsasan'. Well known production house, Sathya Jyothi films is producing this film. It may be recalled that the first look poster of the film, which was released a few months ago, was quite unique. 'Thalaivar 170' titled 'Lal Salaam'; Rajinikanth takes a cameo role while Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth play leads in Aishwarya Rajinikanth's directorial The first look poster had two parts to it, both connected by a sky. On one side of the sky, Vishnu Vishal was seen seated on a cloud. Likewise, Mamitha Baiju appeared to be seated on a cloud but in the opposite direction. Stunts for the film have been choreographed by Vicky while costumes are by Keerthivasan. Dances for the film have been choreographed by Leelavathi and VFX has been handled by Harihara Suthen of Lorven Studios. The film has been produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan and co-produced by G Saravanan and Sai Siddharth.

Vishnu Vishal-Rudra starrer Oho Enthan Baby gets a release date
Days after unveiling the first glimpse of Oho Enthan Baby, marking the debut of actor Vishnu Vishal's brother Rudra, the makers announced that it will release in theatres on July 11. Krishnakumar Ramakumar directs Oho Enthan Baby, who has acted in 5 Star (2002) and Arinthum Ariyamalum (2005), returned to films after his advertising stint to helm the Kaadhal Enbadhu Kannula Heart Irukkura Emoji segment from Prime Video's anthology series Modern Love Chennai, headlined by Ritu Varma. With Rudra playing the lead in the film along with Bollywood actor Mithila Palkar, who is making her Tamil debut, the film also stars Anju Kurian, Mysskin, Redin Kingsley, Karunakaran, Geetha Kailasam, Balaji Sakthivel, Sujatha Babu, Nirmal Pillai, Nivashini, Arun Kurian, Vijayasarathy, Kasthuri, and Vaibhavi Tandle. Vishnu Vishal will play an extended cameo in the film he produced under his banner Vishnu Vishal Studioz, along with Romeo Pictures and D Company. The technical crew of Oho Enthan Baby comprises composer Jen Martin, cinematographer Harish Kannan and editor RC Kannan.
