Annual event raises funds for Veterans in Parkersburg and beyond PARKERSBURG, WV / / March 12, 2025 / Jan Dils, Attorneys at Law, is proud to once again sponsor the Freedom Fun Run 5K, set for Saturday, June 28, 2025. The event raises funds for initiatives that support Veterans nationwide. Participants can join in person at the firm's Market Street office or virtually from anywhere around the world. The Freedom Fun Run 5K has become a staple in the Parkersburg community, bringing together runners, walkers, and supporters to honor those who have served. All proceeds benefit organizations that assist Veterans with housing, transportation, education, and other critical needs. Participants can choose between an in-person or virtual race experience. The in-person race kicks off at 8 a.m. on June 28 at 963 Market St., with on-site registration beginning at 7 a.m. The virtual 5K runs from June 21 through June 27, allowing participants to complete the race and submit their results online. Registration is open for $20. All race proceeds support Veteran-related initiatives such as We Have Your Six, which provides housing and essentials to Veterans, Operation Transportation, which offers free bus passes, and the Jan Dils Foundation Scholarship for Veterans and their families.
