Kristen Bell Shares Photos of the Hilariously NSFW Card Her 11-Year-Old Gave Her
Former Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell got a seriously funny surprise when she opened her Mother's Day card from her kids this year. The 44-year-old posted a photo of the card on her Instagram account this week, sharing some of the humor with her followers. Related: Kourtney Kardashian Gets Showered With Love From Her Blended Family on Mother's Day At first glance, it appeared that Bell had received the wrong card from one of her two children. That's because the cover of it featured a very neatly written, "Happy Father's Day, Mom." But, Bell wasn't deterred by the wrong holiday being listed on the card, and instead opened it up to reveal the sweet message that started off the card, which read, "Mom, I love you so much! To the moon and back!" Then, things took a hilariously explicit turn, because they one of Bell's daughters had written, "Happy Mothers Day you creative and [considerate] bitch!" Next to that was a stick figure that was meant to depict Bell and her daughter standing hand in hand. While Bell didn't mention which of her two girls was behind the art — she and husband Dax Shephard share two children, 11-year-old Lincoln and 9-year-old Delta — fans were quick to give the actress kudos for raising such funny kids. "When you know you've done it right," one person wrote. "Happy Moms Day, mom!" "Every possible good parenting choice represented in one card. Genius," another person added. Clearly Bell and her kiddos have a lot in common, since the actress has become known for her sense of humor and sharp wit over the years. We hope the family had a great Mother's Day, and we have to admit that we kind of can't wait to see what the family puts together for Shephard on Father's Day! Up Next:

'Compelling' US drama with finale that 'wrecked' viewers now available to stream
The popular US drama is now available to stream for free in the UK and fans are already obsessed. Channel 4 has subtly released an adaptation of Liz Moore's top-selling crime thriller, Long Bright River. Viewers are already loving the drama-filled show, which is fully available on the channel's streaming platform and is scheduled to broadcast in late May. Actress Amanda Seyfried, who is best known for her roles in Mean Girls, Veronica Mars, Dear John and Mamma Mia! movies, is taking the lead role in the series. The eight-part miniseries will see Amanda's character Mickey Fitzpatrick, a complex police officer torn between her job and her troubled family life, particularly her sister Kacey's addiction struggles. When a string of murders rocks Philadelphia, Mickey becomes fixated on uncovering the truth, especially as the killer seems to be targeting people like her sister. The show, released on Peacock in the UK earlier this year, has already generated social media buzz among fans and they have wasted no time sharing their reaction. One viewer commented: "#LongBrightRiver may not be as polished and impeccably paced as its closest comp, Mare of Easttown. "But it is still a compelling, well-made miniseries with a stellar star turn from Amanda Seyfried who deserves serious Emmy consideration. The finale wrecked me." Another fan praised: "'#LongBrightRiver is fantastic so far (3 episodes in) and obvs Amanda Seyfried is great in it but the child actor Callum Vinson who plays her son Thomas might need to get some major recognition come next awards season!" A third person raved: "I'm on episode 4 and i just wanna say u all have to watch this. It is SO GOOD and our girl is AMAZINGGG #LongBrightRiver." Discussing her personal connection to the show, Amanda revealed to Variety: "The characters in this story are struggling with the opioid crisis, and maybe I connect in a deeper way to this character's journey because of my relationship to a lot of the subject matter. 'What I didn't expect is to feel like this experience grounded me as well. It lit a fire within me. " She further added: "I wasn't looking for something grounded and heavy and dark, but it was therapeutic in a way. "The storytelling, the perspective was so unique, and it knew exactly what it was. It felt like if this knows exactly what it is, then maybe I will find something new within my own journey." Polly Scates, who is Head of Acquisitions at Channel 4 added: 'We were immediately hooked by this propulsive thriller and Amanda Seyfried's scene stealing performance as Mickey. "We're thrilled that Channel 4 will be the home of Long Bright River in the UK and to bring this compelling series to our viewers across both streaming and linear.'

Some of Australia's biggest musical exports are up for high-profile honors at this year's AIR Awards, set to be handed out on July 31 at the Adelaide Town Hall in South Australia. Leading the charge in this year's event are the likes of Royel Otis, who are up for four awards, just one year after being named breakthrough independent artist of the year at the 2024 edition. This year sees them up for the likes of best independent rock album or EP, independent album of the year, and independent marketing team of the year. Royel Otis will be in fine company, sharing the former two categories with both Amyl and the Sniffers and King Stingray. Amyl, meanwhile, are also up for independent song of the year for 'U Should Not Be Doing That,' which recently took out song of the year at the APRA Music Awards last month. Other well-represented artists at this year's ceremony are Emily Wurramara, Confidence Man and Alice Ivy, who are up for four awards each, with the latter pair in contention for best independent dance, electronica or club single and Best Independent Dance or Electronica Album or EP. Acts such as Indigenous hip-hop supergroup 3%, Gut Health, and others are also hoping to take home multiples at the event. 'It's a wonderful opportunity to recognise the work the independent music industry does in providing talented and emerging artists and music businesses with a platform to share their art with a wider audience,' commented South Australian minister for arts, Andrea Michaels MP. Officially known as the Australian Independent Record Awards, the awards were first established in 2006 as an effort to 'recognise, promote, and celebrate the success of Australia's Independent Music sector.' This year also features a new category, with independent mix, studio or mastering engineer of the year set to be handed out at the July ceremony for the first time. Some of Australia's biggest musical exports have been recognized by the AIRs in recent years, including RVG, who took home last year's best independent album for Brain Worms, and Jem Cassar-Daley, whose 'King of Disappointment' was named best independent single/EP.
