Rashford's strict transfer rules leave Man Utd with one option over summer exit

Marcus Rashford is expected to be shown the Manchester United exit door this summer but the Red Devils academy graduate is rapidly running out of options for his next club Marcus Rashford might only have one Manchester United exit option left after already ruling out three Premier League rivals. The Red Devils academy graduate is fully expected to leave Old Trafford this summer after an explosive season. He was axed from the squad entirely by Ruben Amorim before joining Aston Villa on loan. Villa had a £40m option to make the deal permanent but despite his promising displays in the Midlands, they chose not to re-sign him. ‌ That has left Rashford in an uncertain position regarding his future but even then, Rashford has a list of criteria for his next club. According to the Manchester Evening News, the forward is not prepared to take a wage cut on his current £325,000-a-week package, which only a few clubs could afford. ‌ It is suggested that Rashford has already turned down moves to both Saudi Arabia and Turkey. He is open to a rival Premier League side but he does not want to move to London, which would see the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all out of the race for his services. It is further detailed that United chiefs expect Rashford to move abroad having put a move to Barcelona at the top of his list. The Catalan giants have an interest in Rashford but are currently attempting to thrash out a deal for Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams which will stretch their finances. A loan move now looks to be the only route out of Old Trafford for Rashford this summer. And he will hope to get his future sorted soon after Ruben Amorim made his feelings about a reintegration into the squad very clear. The United boss banished the forward alongside three colleagues from the club's pre-season tour alongside Antony, Alejando Garnacho and Jadon Sancho. Explaining Rashford's initial omission back in February, Amorim said: "What I say is I couldn't put Marcus to see the way you're supposed to play football and to train the way I see it. "And sometimes you have one player who is really good with one coach and the same player with another coach is different. I just wish the best to Rashford and Unai Emery, and they can connect because he's a very good player." ‌ Where do you think Marcus Rashford should go? Share your thoughts in the comments below He added: "The case was some of the guys don't adapt the way I see football, the other guys adapt, and we are trying to build the team. It's something that you feel, as a coach and a player. "It's quite normal, it happened with a lot of coaches. The important thing is that I'm here saying it was my decision." Ruben Amorim growing impatient and wants Man Utd transfers completed urgently

Man Utd's only signing of the summer so far is Matheus Cunha, with boss Ruben Amorim wanting new arrivals on board in time for the summer tour of the US in four weeks' time Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim wants his new signings on board for the club's pre-season tour of the USA in four weeks' time. United have been slow to recruit this summer, with £62.5million winger Matheus Cunha from Wolves their only signing so far, despite the need for a radical overhaul of Amorim's squad. Targets for United include Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike and Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres, who played under Amorim there. ‌ Amorim is impatient for the new signings to be on the plane for United's three-game tour of the States, which sees them face West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton in the Premier Leahue Summer Series. ‌ The United boss sees the tour as the ideal environment in which new signings can fully integrate with the squad, as well as enabling them to adapt to the team's system, so they can hit the ground running when the new season starts. Amorim also wants United to offload players he does not want as quickly as possible, chiefly Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony. None feature in Amorim's future plans and must be sold to help raise funds to reinvest in new signings. But United are finding it difficult to attract buyers for their outcasts, primarily because of the high wage demands of the players concerned, as well as their poor form last season, which has left clubs unwilling to meet their market valuations. Rashford wants a move to Barcelona, but there has been little progress on that front, while Napoli have expressed interest in Sancho and Garnacho, but want to pay significantly less that United are demanding. The transfer window opened from June 1 to 10, to allow teams to recruit in time for the Club World Cup, and reopened on Monday, closing on September 1. ‌ Despite United enduring their worst-ever Premier League campaign last season, finishing in 15 th place, Bruno Fernandes has been shortlisted for the PFA Players' Player of the Year award. Fernandes is up against Liverpool duo Mo Salah and Alexis MacAllister, as well as Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice and Chelsea forward Cole Palmer. United skipper Fernandes scored eight goals in 36 league appearances last season and 19 in all competitions. The award will be presented at a ceremony in Manchester on August 19. The last time a United player won the accolade was Wayne Rooney in 2010, with Manchester City and England forward Phil Foden the current holder.

Bryan Mbeumo told next move is no-brainer as Man Utd and Spurs fight to sign him

Bryan Mbeumo is wanted by Manchester United and Tottenham, with former Old Trafford winger Lee Sharpe telling the forward there is only one club he must join this summer Bryan Mbeumo has been told it is a no-brainer choosing a move to Manchester United over Tottenham. United have already failed with a £55million bid for Mbeumo, with Spurs hopeful the appointment of Thomas Frank as boss can help convince the striker to make the same switch from Brentford. ‌ The two Premier League clubs are fighting it out for Mbeumo, but former United winger Lee Sharpe said he must choose the Red Devils over Spurs – despite the lack of European football. ‌ United lost the Europa League final 1-0 to Spurs last month, meaning Old Trafford will not play host to European football for only the second time in 35 years. Despite that, Sharpe has told 26-year-old Mbeumo he must choose United, despite the fact he will be turning his back on the Champions League and the chance to link up with his former boss. 'It will be a really tough decision for Mbeumo,' Sharpe told 'To go to Tottenham, playing in the Champions League with the manager you have been playing under and trusts you, knows your game and personality which makes the transition a lot easier. 'But there's only one Manchester United and the opportunity to play for United doesn't come along many times in your career - maybe even not at all. 'I understand that Tottenham are playing in Europe, and might seem like a better option to him, with a manager he knows. But I think that if he can be a part of this rebuild and do well, he will never look back.' Sharpe, who spent eight years at United, making 263 appearances and scoring 36 goals, also questioned whether Jadon Sancho is good enough to play in the Premier League. ‌ United winger Sancho spent last season on loan at Chelsea and is facing an uncertain future, with the London club having paid the Red Devils a £5m fee not to make the move permanent. Against that backdrop, Sharpe questioned whether Sancho is cut out for the Premier League and suggested a move back to Germany – where he played for Borussia Dortmund – may better suit him. ‌ 'It's been a shame with Sancho, because he's one of the players I would pay an entrance fee to go and watch,' said Sharpe. 'His footwork and ability to take people on is great. 'As a kid, I would have wanted his name in the back of my shirt. I want to watch him dribble and beat players. On his day he's awesome. 'He just doesn't seem to be able to do in the Premier League and the pace the league is at. I think he's quick enough, but I don't know if likes dealing with the physicality. He can go past people like they're not even there and at times he just seems to take the easy option and pass it square. ‌ 'With his ability, he should be taking players on at every opportunity and I don't think he does it enough. He's unbelievably talented but doesn't do it enough. Maybe Germany suits him more, where teams don't sit in as much and he has more time and space to beat players.'
