Ex-NFL star Richard Sherman charged with DUI — second time he's faced drunk driving charges
Super Bowl champion Richard Sherman has been charged with driving under the influence more than a year after he was arrested in Washington state — the second time the defensive back has faced drunk driving charges. The former Seattle Seahawk was charged with refusing to take a breath test — defined as a gross misdemeanor in the state — which could lead to a harsher penalty, the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office told The Seattle Times. Sherman was pulled over by a Washington State trooper on I-405 just before 2 a.m. on Feb. 24, 2024, but not charged until Tuesday. The 37-year-old had been driving 79 mph in a 60 mph zone while 'bouncing back and forth within the lane it was traveling in,' according to police. Once he pulled over, Sherman told troopers he'd had two margaritas and refused to do a breathalyzer test, The Seattle Times reported. He did, however, agree to do some voluntary tests leading police to conclude he was under the influence and take him into custody, Police acquired a signed warrant to draw Sherman's blood roughly two hours after he was pulled over, which showed his blood-alcohol level of about 0.11, above the legal limit of 0.08. The charges were not filed until Tuesday — the day after the prosecutor's office received the blood test results from the crime lab, the report said. Sherman, 35, was previously arrested for drunk driving and domestic disturbance charges in July 2021 after police said the former Seahawk crashed his car into a construction zone then attempted to break into his in-laws' home outside of Seattle. The case was settled in March 2022 when Sherman pleaded guilty in Seattle to two misdemeanor charges. Sherman played for the Seahawks from 2011 to 2017, helping lead the team to Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014. He later played three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and one brief season with the Tampa Bay Bucaneers before he retired after the 2021 season. He has since worked as a pre and postgame analyst for Prime Video's 'Thursday Night Football' since 2022 and as a panelist on FS1's 'Undisputed.'

WWE SmackDown results: R-Truth applies the STF to John Cena; CM Punk gets involved
WWE SmackDown results: The June 13th episode of WWE SmackDown proved to be a forgettable affair for John Cena. Ron Killings AKA R-Truth attacked him during the opening segment, which included LA Knight and the former Legacy mates Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. Later in the night, the 53-year-old veteran put him in the STF and sent a message to him. Ron Killings/R-Truth, CM Punk haunt John Cena John Cena came out to the ring during the last stretch of SmackDown and called out Ron Killings for assaulting him earlier in the night. However, in a surprising development, CM Punk showed up and verbally berated the Undisputed champion ahead of their clash at Night of Champions 2025 later this month. CM Punk wants John Cena to give the fans a happy ending.#SmackDown 'The Second City Saint' spoke about their classic rivalry from over a decade ago and emphasised that the roles are reversed this time around. Back then, Punk was a heel trying to leave the company with the title while Cena was the good guy. However, the situation is the exact opposite now. Punk also used a Star Wars reference to hint at Cena possibly still being a good guy at heart. Punk eventually exited the ring, which gave Ron 'R-Truth' Killings an opportunity to attack Cena and apply the STF, a submission hold to him. Will R-Truth beat sense into John Cena on SmackDown? R-Truth is set to take on Cena on SmackDown next week. The two previously locked horns at Saturday Night's Main Event where The Marine star beat his 'fan' using underhanded tactics. Truth later interfered in Cena and Logan Paul's match with Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. It remains to be seen if this feud is resolved on the blue brand next week.

John Cena to win the Money in the Bank match 2025 despite not being an advertised participant? All we know
The Money in the Bank match 2025 is around the corner, and it has the potential to change careers. The men's contest will see LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, Andrade, Penta, Seth Rollins and El Grande Americano locking horns for the coveted briefcase. However, in a weird twist, John Cena may win the match despite not even being an advertised participant . John Cena to win the Money in the Bank match? John Cena turned heel at Elimination Chamber 2025 on The Rock's instructions and vowed to 'ruin' wrestling on his way out of the business. He then beat Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 to capture the Undisputed title. At Saturday Night's Main Event, 'The Franchise Player' set his sights on the World Heavyweight Championship and tried to cost the reigning champion Jey Uso his match against Logan Paul but his plan was foiled by 'QB1'. Cena could not try to make life difficult for 'The Yeet Master' by winning the briefcase and cashing in on him. This could create a situation where he walks away with both the Undisputed and the Heavyweight belts when he retires from in-ring competition later this year. Cena is not a participant in the match but could be added to it at the last minute on The Rock's instructions. 'The Final Boss' is a board member of TKO, which (in storyline) could explain the move. Cody Rhodes recently mentioned 'The Great One' on SmackDown, suggesting that he could return to WWE programming somewhere down the line. Interestingly, if Cena does indeed win the contract it won't be the first time that an unannounced participant walks away with the briefcase, which guarantees the holder a shot at the Undisputed or World Heavyweight title. Brock Lesnar had previously entered the match unannounced and emerged victorious. That said, the angle with Cena is purely speculative at this point. Are you ready for the Money in the Bank event? Cena, meanwhile, will be teaming up with Logan Paul to take on Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso at the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. The show will be aired on Netflix in India on June 8. The card also features the likes of Naomi, Becky Lynch, and Stephanie Vaquer. Stay ahead of the game with the latest updates, match highlights, and insider stories from IPL, cricket, WWE, and more! ‘What a waste': Netizens slam John Cena's short match at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event
WWE Saturday Night's Main Event: John Cena defeated R-Truth in a short but eventful match at Saturday Night's Main Event. The contest saw 'The Franchise Player' use underhanded tactics to vanquish his 53-year-old opponent. Several netizens took to social media to express their views about Cena's latest appearance and most of them were not too impressed by what happened at the event. Fans express disappointment with John Cena's match R-Truth took on John Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event in a match that many were looking forward to. The former 24X7 champion entered the arena dressed as the Cenation Leader, who he considers his 'childhood hero'. A surprised Cene mounted some offence on him before the veteran turned the tide and nailed The Marine actor with his own trademark moves. Cena eventually tried to hit Truth with the Undisputed title but hesitated. The referee then removed the belt. This gave Cena an opportunity to nail him with a low blow and pick up the win. After the match, Cena hit Truth with the belt. Netizens were not too impressed by the way the contest played out. One of them said that it was a 'waste' of the limited appearances Cena has left in his career. What a waste of an appearance for cena!!! 😭 Another one said that not only the match but the entire heel run has been 'lacklustre'. WWE has dropped the ball so hard with Cena's heel turn. I can't believe how lackluster its been so far More fans echoed similar sentiments Is his heel turn really just wasting the fans time and making the product look like a joke? Is this the endgame? Because this has been the most retarded thing I've ever seen from WWE Waste of time. The feud between R-Truth and Cena started when the current Undisputed Champion put his 'fan' through a table during the post-event press conference for Backlash. Cena tried to cost Jey Uso his title Later in the night, Cena interfered in Jey Uso's match against Logan Paul and tried to cost 'The Yeet Master' his World Heavyweight title. However, things did not go as planned as Cody Rhodes returned to WWE programming and hit his WrestleMania 41 opponent with Cross Rhodes. Skip Bayless Calls Out Caitlin Clark After Loss to the Dream
Caitlin Clark has emerged as one of the most polarizing figures in sports. The Indiana Fever guard is the NCAA's all-time leading scorer, following an impressive career with the Iowa Hawkeyes, where she led the team to two national championship game appearances. After being selected first overall in the 2024 WNBA draft, she had a solid rookie season, averaging 19.2 points and 8.4 assists per game. This year, she is off to a strong start, averaging 23.5 points, 10.5 assists and 7.5 rebounds per game. Advertisement The Fever has a 1-1 record at the start of the season, but it was the team's most recent game that caught the attention of former Fox Sports analyst Skip Bayless. Bayless has had a successful media career and is known as the "Godfather" of sports debate shows; he was a foundational figure on ESPN's "First Take" before leaving to join Fox and host "Undisputed" before leaving Fox late last year. He did this on Tuesday when the Fever lost to the Atlanta Dream with a score of 91-90. The Dream took the lead with nine seconds remaining after Kelsey Mitchell fouled Rhyne Howard, who then made both free throws to give the Dream a 91-90 advantage. During the Fever's next possession, Clark was the inbounder and lobbed the ball to Natasha Howard. However, Howard's shot was blocked by Nia Coffey. Howard managed to grab her own rebound and attempted a 12-foot shot to win the game, but she missed. Coffey secured the rebound, sealing the victory for the Dream. Advertisement Bayless took to X to express his frustration about the play, stating in all caps, "Caitlin Clark has to take the last shot for Indiana when it's down one with nine seconds left. She did not. Fever lost at home to Atlanta." Bayless has built his career on critiquing players in "clutch situations." Most notably, he has criticized LeBron James for lacking a "clutch gene," arguing that he avoids those crucial moments. Bayless firmly believes that the best player should take the shot almost every time in those situations. Bayless' criticism could also be directed at the coaching staff. While Clark is an excellent passer, as evidenced by her average of double-digit assists, the play did not seem to be designed for her to do anything other than pass the ball. Although the outcome of this game was not favorable, it may serve as a valuable learning experience for Clark and her team as they move forward.
