Picture Credit: X Ayushmann Khurrana 's wife and author Tahira Kashyap shared a deeply reflective piece on social media. In an Instagram post, she opened up about the complex layers of identity that women often carry. In her poetic and heartfelt note, Tahira posed the timeless question, "Who am I?" a query she said is often asked during therapy or while truly contemplating life. From being a mother, wife, daughter, and sister to a cancer survivor and creative professional, Kashyap highlighted how easy it is to be labeled and yet how hard it is to be confined within definitions. She encouraged her followers to go beyond societal boxes and embrace their full, limitless selves. With the use of metaphors, Tahira Kashyap wrote about finding joy in simple pleasures like mocha and cheesecake or a kind gesture from a flower seller in the heat of the afternoon. The star wife described herself as a cherry blossom blooming in unfamiliar cities and as underlined sentences in a book that offer meaning beyond beauty. Sharing her video, Tahira wrote, "Who are you today? What do you see? (P.s- inspiration for this piece lies in my last post, you'll get to see what I saw and how) #StoriesInMyHead." I am accepting of love from all corners, even from a flower seller in the heat of the noon. I'm joy seeing mocha and cheesecake. I'm the vibrancy that yoga brings forth for my health sake. I'm the flower that blooms, whether it's the cherry blossom in Japan or a lookalike in another city. I'm the line that you've marked five times over in a book because you want to learn and not just because I'm pretty. I'm so much more if I allow myself to be. Who am I? Should often be asked because I get to appreciate what others could never see." On the personal front, Tahira Kashyap is battling a recurrence of breast cancer, which was initially diagnosed in 2018.

Yen upbeat as Japan's core inflation accelerates
The Japanese yen stays upbeat against the dollar on Friday following higher inflation data that increases possibility of rate hike by BoJ. Data released earlier today showed that Japan's annual consumer price index (CPI) remained well above the Bank of Japan's (BoJ) target of 2% in May. Japans consumer prices excluding fresh food quickened for a third month to 3.7% from a year earlier in May, according to a Ministry of Internal Affairs released Friday. Thats the fastest pace since January 2023. Food inflation was again a major driver, with the price of rice the nations staple food jumping 102% from a year earlier. Service prices, a metric closely watched by the BOJ, rose 1.4% from a year earlier, slightly more than 1.3% in April. However, the BoJ earlier this week signaled its preference to move cautiously in normalizing still-easy monetary policy and decided to slow the pace of reduction in its bond purchases from fiscal 2026 that could limit gains in the counter. Nevertheless, safe haven demand amidst persistent trade-related uncertainties and rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East could keep the yen supported. Currently, USDJPY is seen quoting at 145.29, down 0.14% on the day. Meanwhile, on the NSE, JPYINR futures are down 0.93% at 59.42.

Telangana HC rejects illegal detention plea: Woman married by choice; family misled court, petition dismissed
Telangana HC HYDERABAD: The Telangana high court has dismissed a habeas corpus petition alleging illegal detention of a woman after it was revealed that the 'detenue' got married of her own free will. A division bench, comprising Justices Moushumi Bhattacharya and BR Madhusudhan Rao, while dismissing the petition, said that they did not find any merit in the petition. The bench also noted that it was the third time the petitioner's counsel failed to present relevant facts justifying the plea. The respondents (Warangal police) submitted written submissions along with a letter from the woman to police, confirming her decision to marry. They also placed before the bench the wedding photos. The petition was filed by the woman's family, alleging police inaction in their missing complaint lodged in May. A general diary (GD) entry was made on their complaint, and they also got an acknowledgement from police, but no action was taken on the complaint, they alleged. Following the petition, the high court issued notices to the Warangal police, seeking to file their counters. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like USDJPY đang đi lên không? UPSC launches 'Pratibha Setu' to connect top exam qualifiers with government and private employers
NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has launched a strategic initiative that allows verified employers, including central government and private organisations, to connect with top talent from India's most competitive examinations, officials said on Thursday. UPSC's 'Pratibha Setu', which was earlier known as Public Disclosure Scheme (PDS), provides access to the details of non-recommended willing candidates who cleared all stages of exams conducted by it but didn't make it to the final merit list, they said. This provides a platform for employers to select non-recommended willing candidates who are almost as meritorious as the recommended candidates, while providing a second gateway for the UPSC aspirants to shine beyond the examination, the commission said in an official note. Earlier, the list of non-recommended willing candidates of the selected examinations -- candidates who qualify the written examinations but are not recommended after the interview -- was released under the Public Disclosure Scheme on its website. Now, the commission provides login IDs to the organisation for the voluntary selection/recruitment of non-recommended candidates. Further, the private organisations can also register through their own using the commission's portal, it said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like USDJPY đang đi lên không? IC Markets Đăng ký Undo Under this initiative, a soft biodata of the candidates, including their educational qualifications and contact details, will also be accessible. The resource carries a data bank of more than 10,000 willing candidates who cleared all stages of the UPSC exams but did not make it to the final merit list, according to the UPSC. Lakhs of students apply for different government job recruitment examinations conducted by the commission. The public disclosure scheme has been in force since August 20, 2018. The commission first used this scheme to disclose the list of candidates for the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2017. However, the PDS has now been renamed as UPSC 'Pratibha Setu'. Non-recommended willing candidates of civil services examination, and the examinations for the Indian Forest Service, Central Armed Police Forces, Engineering Services, Combined Geo-Scientist, Combined Defence Services, Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service examination and Combined Medical Services are included in the scheme, the UPSC said.
