The Abu Dhabi police has issued an important traffic warning

Abu Dhabi Police has issued a fresh traffic warning urging drivers involved in minor accidents to immediately move their vehicles to a safe spot – or risk a Dhs1,000 fine and six black points on their licence.
The reminder comes after a social media video circulated showing minor collisions causing unnecessary traffic chaos. The video also highlights just how easy it is to report a minor accident using the Saed app – no waiting around, no calls and definitely no blocking lanes.

If the accident doesn't involve injuries or serious damage, you're expected to pull over to the nearest safe location and take five minutes to log the incident digitally. Yes, really – the whole process is that quick.
Here's how it works: Download the Saed app, click 'Report an Accident' and pop in your mobile number. The system automatically detects your location, so there's no guesswork. You'll then need to upload copies of your driver's licence and car registration, as well as clear photos of both vehicles and the damage. Once submitted, you'll get your official accident report sent straight to WhatsApp.
It's slick, it's streamlined and it's designed to keep the roads moving.
Abu Dhabi Police are cracking down on unnecessary road obstruction, especially when it comes to minor bumps that can be easily resolved. So next time your bumper meets someone else's backlight, save yourself the headache (and the fine) and take the smart, app-based route.
