Simone Holtznagel rubs shoulders with Tyra Banks as she attends glamorous VIP opening of the supermodel's Sydney ice cream store

Simone Holtznagel was in esteemed company on Thursday night. The model and mum-of-one stepped out for the VIP launch of SMiZE & DREAM Ice Cream, the new Sydney store founded by American supermodel Tyra Banks. The 31-year-old stunned at the shindig, holding her own alongside Tyra in a black sweetheart corset that showed off some bust. Simone added a pair of skin tight black jeans with a flared bell bottom and a pair of strappy gold heels. For makeup, the blonde chose a clean look with a pink lipstick and wore her hair down in soft waves. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The stunner recently sparked romance rumours with Dina Broadhurst's Eastern Suburbs property developer ex-boyfriend Max Shepherd. According to The Sunday Telegraph, Simone was seen cosying up to Max at Justin Hemmes' Silver Party charity gala, fuelling speculation that the pair are quietly dating. While the relationship is still in its early stages and yet to be made official, sources tell the publication that the two are already 'smitten' and have been spending lots of time together. Simone is no stranger to headlines – especially since her high-profile breakup with celebrity trainer Jono Castano, with whom she shares a daughter. The pair ended things last year after a tumultuous on-off relationship. Meanwhile, Max Shepherd, 32, has carved out a name for himself in the property world and was previously linked to Broadhurst, a famed Sydney-based artist known for her nude self-portraits and edgy art installations. He also dated US actress Vail Bloom. Interestingly, Simone doesn't appear to be Max's usual type – with the developer historically gravitating towards older, brunette women, a far cry from Simone's signature blonde bombshell aesthetic. The timing of the romance comes as Max and his ex Dina are in the process of offloading their multimillion-dollar Rose Bay apartment, which they purchased together in 2022 for $5.2 million. The luxury two-bedroom, two-bathroom property was initially listed in November with an eye-watering price tag of $11.5 million after undergoing a dramatic high-end renovation. But six months on, the price has been slashed to $8.4 million, according to property records. Simone's younger sister Madeline Holtznagel is currently dating hospitality tycoon and Merivale CEO Justin Hemmes, 51 and recently they welcomed their first child together. Simone previously dated celebrity personal trainer Jono, 34, before the pair ended things late last year. Jono has since moved on with Love Triangle star Emily Ryder, with the two debuting their relationship on social media. Earlier this month Jono was spotted enjoying a romantic night out with Emily at the Sydney Opera House. The pair have reportedly been dating for several months and are taking things 'very slowly'. Sources close to the couple say Jono and Emily bonded over their shared passion for fitness and adventure, and are often seen working out together.

EXCLUSIVE Supermodel Tyra Banks reveals why she moved to Australia as she launches upmarket ice cream store in Sydney

Tyra Banks has officially unveiled her dream project in Australia – launching her first-ever SMiZE & DREAM ice cream store in the heart of Sydney 's Darling Harbour. In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail Australia, the American supermodel-turned-entrepreneur revealed she fell head over heels for the Harbour City after visiting regularly for over a year while producing ice cream for a cruise line account. 'I was coming for about a year and a half and just fell in love with it,' she said. 'And I said, should we make this move? And here we are.' The 51-year-old said Sydney's relaxed charm and community energy helped seal the decision to base her global business Down Under, with one spot standing out above all others. 'I love Darling Harbour because of this park. Tumbalong Park is magical,' she said, adding that even before her shop opened, she and her family would spend their weekends there. 'I have friends that live an hour and a half away and on the weekends they drive here just to go to the water and put their feet in with the kids.' 'There's a playground for older kids, one for younger kids, Darling Square nearby, the harbour – it just felt natural.' Tyra's passion for the brand is personal, down to the flavours themselves. When asked about her favourite scoop, she didn't hesitate. 'My favourite flavour is called Tyra's Favourite – very creative, isn't it?' she laughed. The flavour features salted sweet cream with butter-roasted pecans and a thick, savoury caramel butter swirl. 'It's not your traditional ice cream taste – it has this surprising, rich sensation in the mouth,' she said. She also teased a potential first celebrity collaboration, revealing a well-known Aussie star is already in talks. 'I have a very good friend – she's coming today – and we've been talking about doing a collab,' she revealed. 'She's very known here, so I'm touched that she wants to do something. I think she'll be the first, hopefully.' Beyond ice cream, the SMiZE & DREAM founder wants the business to stand for something bigger – encouraging others, especially women, to reinvent themselves no matter their age. 'It's never too late,' she said, when asked what advice she had for women starting over. 'But we have to know our stuff. Unfortunately, women – we have to be better. We have to be smarter. We have to know more.' Her message was firm and inspiring: 'Just go deep, study hard, walk into that room head held high. You're going to hear 'no's – but one day you're going to get that 'yes'. And you just have to be ready for it.' Previously speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the former America's Next Top Model host revealed that she has embraced the Aussie lifestyle fully – and says even her mother can't believe they live here now. 'Australia's not real to Americans,' she said. 'I know you guys, this is where you're from, but this is like fantasy land.' She's swapped designer boutiques for shopping sprees at Kmart and lazy weekends in the park. Previously speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the former America's Next Top Model host revealed that she has embraced the Aussie lifestyle fully – and says even her mother can't believe they live here now 'I went the other day and bought stuff for our kitchen,' she laughed. 'Kmart here is fancy! Where's the cheque? This is ridiculous—I just keep talking about it!' Tyra hasn't ruled out returning to television – and this time, it could be in Australia. 'I think I'm going to go back to do some TV,' she teased. 'I might even do stuff here – morning shows, hosting, something. When I do, it's going to feel like home.' She admitted that after years in front of the camera, it's being a businesswoman that's truly tested her. 'I used to think, 'Oh, I'm so stressed with all these TV shows,' she said. 'But that is nothing compared to being an entrepreneur. When I go back to TV, it'll actually feel relaxing!'

It's President Trump Again, This Time in Full Frame

President Trump has a new official photographic portrait — his fourth since 2017, two produced during administrative transitions and two in the first months of his nonconsecutive terms. We have come a long way from the Lansdowne portrait of George Washington, in which the Virginian general stands at his desk with stiff republican reserve. The new official image, shot by the government photographer Daniel Torok, presents the incumbent in tight close-up and obscure quarters. Its lighting is immoderate, its tone forbidding, but compared to the last one its subject's mood has actually brightened. For that previous portrait, released at the time of the presidential transition in January 2025, Mr. Torok used egregious spotlighting from below that gave Mr. Trump the mien of a horror movie villain. The ex-president become president-elect glowered and squinted, in marked imitation of his mug shot taken at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta. The new portrait, by contrast, displays a classically Trumpian tonal incongruity; for all the darkness, note the humor. The lighting is more head-on. Mr. Trump's shoulders are relaxed, his affect has softened. His neutral expression is moderated by a slight warmth in the eyes — a classic pose that a younger generation, following the supermodel Tyra Banks, knows to call 'smizing.' Want all of The Times? Tyra Banks Returns For Netflix's America's Next Top Model Docuseries

Source: Christopher Polk / Getty Tyra Banks is stepping back into the spotlight of America's Next Top Model (ANTM) —but this time, behind the scenes. In a rare move, the supermodel-turned-TV mogul has agreed to participate in an upcoming Netflix documentary chronicling the history of the iconic modeling competition series. Read more inside. Entertainment Weekly exclusively reported that the Netflix and EverWonder Studio produced docuseries will offer a deep dive into the legacy of ANTM , which ran for 24 cycles from 2003 to 2018. Banks, who hosted and executive produced 23 of those seasons, sat down for an interview that will be featured in the multi-episode series. While no premiere date has been announced, the documentary promises to explore the highs and lows of the show that helped shape the reality TV landscape and redefine beauty standards. Although Banks rarely revisits the series in long-form projects, her recent public reflections suggest she's ready to engage with the show's complex legacy. At the 2025 Essence Black Women in Hollywood event, she acknowledged past missteps, saying she 'said some dumb s—' on the show, while also defending ANTM 's role in advancing diversity on television during a time when it was sorely lacking. Over the years, ANTM has faced growing criticism, especially after fans began reevaluating the show during the pandemic. Former contestants have spoken out about problematic photo shoots, including racially insensitive challenges and reports of misconduct. In EW 's 20th anniversary oral history published in 2023, cycle 4 alum Keenyah Hill defended one controversial shoot, distinguishing between artistic intent and racial mockery. Banks' team has also responded to backlash, explaining that the show's more provocative concepts were attempts to challenge industry norms that idolized lighter skin and straighter hair. 'The intention was to spotlight underrepresented beauty ideals,' a spokesperson told EW , referencing photo shoots that featured textured hair and darker skin. Despite the controversies, ANTM 's influence is undeniable. It launched the careers of numerous models, sparked global spinoffs, and helped Banks build an entertainment empire. Though the show hasn't returned since its final cycle aired in 2018—and no 25th season is currently in the works—the upcoming Netflix docuseries offers fans a chance to revisit the show through a more critical and reflective lens. With Banks back at the center of the conversation, ANTM is once again ready for its close-up.
