TDAP, KCCI hold seminar on ‘Int'l Standards, Labelling & Packing'

PESHAWAR: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Peshawar, in collaboration with the Khyber Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), organized a seminar on 'International Standards, Labelling, and Packing' at the Conference Room of the Gems and Gemological Institute of Pakistan (GGIP), Peshawar. The seminar was attended by representatives from the Khyber Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kurram Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Waziristan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The TDAP team delivered an in-depth presentation on the importance of aligning with international standards, effective labelling practices, and modern packaging techniques to enhance the competitiveness of Pakistani products in global markets. The session generated keen interest among the participants, who appreciated the relevance and timeliness of the subject. They emphasized that such awareness sessions are crucial to build the capacity of local exporters and help them meet international buyer requirements. President KCCI Jawad Kazmi, President and Group Leader of Kurram Chamber Haji Subhanullah, and President of Waziristan Chamber of Commerce Haji Qadeerullah lauded the efforts of TDAP Peshawar for organizing the informative seminar and stressed the need for holding more such sessions across the region to educate and guide exporters from emerging trade regions. TDAP informed the participants that it remains committed to strengthening the export potential of the region by providing awareness, training, and capacity-building programmes for the business community. TDAP taking part in Automechanika Istanbul

ISLAMABAD: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Ministry of Commerce is participating in Automechanika Istanbul from 12-15 June 2025 at Tuyap Exhibition Centre with 12 companies from the automotive parts sector. Pakistan is participating in Automechanika Istanbul since 2015 and has created a good demand in Turkish and adjoining markets. This year, Pakistani companies are showcasing metal, plastic and rubber parts used in the auto industry, two wheelers, tractors and farm and agriculture machinery. As many as 30 Country Pavilions including more than 1,000 exhibitors from above 70 countries are showcasing their products in the exhibition. More than 20,000 trade visitors are expected to visit the exhibition and hold B2B meetings with exhibiting companies. The Trade and Investment Wing of the Consulate headed by Nauman Aslam, Consul General of Pakistan and his team are facilitating the Pakistani exhibitors by arranging B2B meetings and providing logistical support. LAHORE: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Women Entrepreneur Division, in collaboration with the Women Resource Centre and Incubators (WRCI), successfully organized a hands-on training workshop on 'Market Analysis Tools – Trade Map' on 30th May 2025 in Lahore. This initiative is part of TDAP's focused effort to strengthen the export readiness of women entrepreneurs by equipping them with practical tools to analyze global markets. The workshop centered around the International Trade Centre's (ITC) Trade Map, a key platform for market intelligence, competitor analysis, and strategic export planning. Mahina Ghalib, Deputy Director, TDAP, facilitated the session and led an in-depth exploration of Harmonized System (HS) Codes, Trade Map functionalities, and data interpretation techniques. SIALKOT: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Women Entrepreneur Division, in collaboration with Sialkot Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry, successfully organized a hands-on training workshop on 'Market Analysis Tools – Trade Map' on 22nd May 2025 in Sialkot. This initiative aimed to strengthen the export potential of women entrepreneurs by equipping them with practical skills to analyze international markets using the International Trade Centre's (ITC) Trade Map, which is a widely used resource for market intelligence, competitor benchmarking, and export planning. The session was conducted by Mahina Ghalib, Deputy Director, TDAP, and featured an in-depth exploration of HS Codes and Trade Map functionalities, followed by practical training to help participants identify export destinations, track global trade flows, and assess market demand. Participants were also provided with manuals and resources to deepen their understanding of the platform beyond the session. Around 30 entrepreneurs took part in the training, engaging actively in discussions and exercises. The interactive nature of the workshop encouraged questions and personalized feedback, ensuring participants walked away with relevant and applicable knowledge. This workshop is part of TDAP's ongoing, targeted capacity-building series for women entrepreneurs.
