Justin Hartley on Playing a ‘Worm and Buffon' in ‘Bride Hard' and What Colter Will Learn About His Mother in ‘Tracker' Season 3: ‘There's Some Deep Psychosis There'

Justin Hartley is teasing what fans can expect from his 'Tracker' character, Colter Shaw, in Season 3 of his hit CBS series. 'I know we'll get to the nitty-gritty of why my mother hired this guy,' he told Variety Wednesday at the premiere of his new movie 'Bride Hard' in Los Angeles. 'Was she protecting her kids? Was an affair happening? Was the government involved? Was it strictly just my mother? Why did she hide that from us for so long? Why did she lead me to believe that it was my brother who was involved when he wasn't? It seems like this divide-and-conquer thing that she's doing. It was just an odd thing to do with your children. There's some deep psychosis there. We'll unpack that.' More from Variety Rebel Wilson on Working With Robert Pattinson's 'Batman' Stunt Coordinators on 'Bride Hard' And Wanting 'Fat Amy' to Get Married in 'Pitch Perfect 4' Dave Bautista Eyed for 'Road House 2' Advocate Originals to Launch on Hulu for Pride Month (EXCLUSIVE) Hartley said he admires the mysterious element of Colter. 'One of the things I love about our show is it seems like every time we answer a question, there are five more questions,' he said. 'It's almost like he's getting deeper and deeper. I really enjoy that about our show.' The new season of 'Tracker' is set to start shooting in July. In 'Bride Hard,' Hartley stars opposite Rebel Wilson — they previously worked alongside each other in 2022's 'Senior Year' — as the groom's best man (Chris) who assists a group of mercenaries that crash the wedding. Wilson plays a secret agent (Sam) whose cover is blown when she has to take on the mercenaries. Rounding out the cast are Anna Camp, Anna Chlumsky, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Gigi Zumbado and Stephen Dorff. For Hartley, portraying one of the bad guys who sets out to help the mercenaries is what interested him about the role. 'I thought it was so interesting because he's such a worm and a buffoon,' he said. 'To play something that I've never intentionally done before was fun for me.' Hartley praised Wilson for her stunt work throughout the film, particularly for the fight scene the two co-stars shared in the movie. 'You don't get a lot of time to rehearse that,' he said. 'She did a lot of that choreography. She did all of the hard work. I was trying to get out of the way or not quite get out of the way. She did a good job of not cracking me, but she never did.' For the other cast members, watching Wilson play an action hero was also a highlight for them. 'I love it,' Sherry Cola, who played Wilson's handler, said. 'Women can do it all. We can save the day. We can prove people wrong and break stereotypes. With Rebel, she's built such an exceptional career. I'm so excited for people to see her in this way.' The film's director, Simon West, also complimented Wilson's fight and stunt performances: 'She threw herself into it. She's a tough girl, and she wanted to do the action as much as she could herself. But she has her own style. It's kind of John Wick on steroids. She is not a quiet fighter. She's a crazy fighter, and she seemed to love it.' India's Growing Footprint in the UK Hits Record High: New Tracker Launched by Minister Piyush Goyal at IGF London

PRNewswire New Delhi [India]/ London [UK], June 19: The 12th edition of the Grant Thornton India Meets Britain Tracker was officially launched today by Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, during a special opening session at IGF London at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre. This year's edition arrives at a pivotal moment, closely following the finalisation of the UK-India Free Trade Agreement and marks a record-breaking year for Indian business presence in the UK. Produced by Grant Thornton in collaboration with India Global Forum and Confederation of Indian Industry, the 2025 report provides the most comprehensive snapshot of Indian investment in the UK. IGF's deep-rooted influence, experience, and convening power in the UK-India corridor further enhance the strategic value of this research. Manoj Ladwa, Founder and Chairman of IGF, said: "This year's tracker is a powerful testament to the vitality of the UK-India economic relationship. As the first major platform following the conclusion of the FTA, IGF London provides the ideal stage to spotlight how Indian businesses are scaling in the UK. The rise in Indian-owned companies isn't just growth, it's momentum. It reflects the ambition and trust shaping this new chapter of bilateral collaboration." The 2025 Tracker identifies 1,197 Indian-owned companies operating in the UK, a 23% increase from last year's 971. This marks the highest figure on record and the largest annual increase since total numbers were first measured in 2017. These companies collectively reinforce the economic significance of the bilateral corridor, as the newly signed FTA is forecast to contribute an estimated £4.8 billion to UK GDP and £2.2 billion in wage growth annually. The report reveals the Technology, Media, and Telecom sector as the largest and fastest-growing vertical, representing 31% of all tracker companies. Pharmaceuticals and chemicals hold strong in second place, accounting for 22% of growth tracker companies. Financial services saw a notable rise, making up 10% of Tracker companies, the largest share since 2021. Geographically, London remains the top choice, hosting 47% of the 74 fastest-growing companies. The South of England follows at 24.3%, while the Midlands and North contribute 9.5% each. Anuj Chande, Partner and Head of the South Asia Business Group at Grant Thornton UK Advisory & Tax LLP, commented: "We are thrilled to witness such a significant surge in Indian-owned businesses in the UK. This reflects the confidence Indian investors place in the UK market, as well as the opportunities being unlocked by deeper bilateral engagement. The FTA's conclusion promises to supercharge this momentum, and this report offers a clear view of where that growth is taking shape. Our collaboration with India Global Forum has further strengthened the Tracker's reach and relevance at a pivotal moment in UK-India relations." The Tracker stands as a critical barometer of bilateral economic health and a strategic tool for policymakers, investors, and businesses on both sides. As the UK-India relationship enters a new era, IGF London 2025 underscores how partnership on paper is now being translated into impact on the ground. The announcement was the highlight of Day 1 of IGF's flagship event in the United Kingdom. With over 100+ speakers, 1000 participants, and events across iconic venues in London, IGF London 2025 encompasses a spectrum of topics - from technology and trade to culture and commerce. This year's edition marks a powerful milestone - a decade since Prime Minister Narendra Modi's landmark 2015 visit to the UK, and the two nations have finalised the long-awaited Free Trade Agreement. IGF London is the first major international platform to celebrate and analyse this historic achievement, unlock new opportunities that emerge from its conclusion, and shape the next phase of UK-India collaboration. UK sees 23% surge in number of Indian-owned businesses, total revenue generated by these companies is at Rs 764684 crore; Wipro, Zoho lead among... The number of Indian-owned businesses operating in the United Kingdom has grown sharply this year, going up by 23 per cent compared to last year. According to a new report, there are now 1,197 Indian companies in the UK. This update comes from the 12th edition of the India Meets Britain Tracker , a joint report by the financial firm Grant Thornton and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). It was released during the UK-India Week in London, in the presence of India's Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and UK Business and Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds. The total revenue generated by these Indian businesses has gone up from GBP 68.09 billion in 2024 to GBP 72.14 billion this year. These companies also play a big role in the UK job market, providing work to over 126,000 people and adding more than 8,000 new jobs in the past year alone. The 2025 edition of the Tracker also highlights that the selected fast-growing companies together earned GBP 32.6 billion and paid GBP 67.3 million in corporation tax. They were responsible for creating over 56,000 jobs in the UK. Among the fastest-growing Indian companies this year, Wipro IT Services UK Societas led the list with an impressive 448 per cent increase in revenue. Close behind was Zoho Corporation Ltd, an IT management company that entered the list for the first time, showing a 197 per cent growth. In total, 20 new companies were added to the Tracker in 2025, while 41 firms from last year continued to feature. London continues to be the top choice for Indian businesses, with nearly half (47 per cent) of all companies based there. The report also noted a small but positive change in gender diversity — 24 per cent of company directors were women this year, up from 21 per cent last year. (With PTI inputs)
