‘I always thought I was going to go on', says Love Island star who predicted villa stint years before it happened

He said: "When I was 16, I remember being in class and then somehow me and my teacher got roped in to speak about Love Island. Yeah. And I was like, 'miss, when I hit 22, if I have no girlfriend, I'm going to go on Love Island.' "I thought that's going to be forever away from 16. So I'm thinking, oh yeah, 22, if I don't have a girl, I'm going to go on Love Island." "Like, I always thought I was going to go on. It was weird. It's like manifestation." He said he applied on a Tuesday night and they called him back first thing the next morning. He told Tis Yourself: "I feel like that's one of the hardest things and I spoke to my friends about that recently. I was like, 'what do I do in this situation? Where if someone's saying a false narrative, do I come back and start saying the truth?'" I was a baby, you know, looking back at now, baby, completely different person. Full of life, I'll say. "So naive and everything. But yeah, I think that's like probably the rawest version of me, which is nice to see. And I've learned a lot of lessons since then, which I have to thank Love Island for." This time around he was a lot more cautious. HONEST CHAT "I remember going back in All Stars and I was like, there was a moment that was hitting me and I was in a convo and someone kept on asking me about my ex and what happened? I was thinking, you guys just want me to say this out loud so everyone can know. But like that's kind of private. So I don't want to say it out. Advertisement "So I was like trying to pull back. But I was trying to pull back in a convo, which is kind of weird to me because I never really pulled back in convos. I'll just say how it is. "I was wary there because it wasn't just me. It was about the other person as well in a relationship. So I didn't want to like air our dirty laundry." And Toby said he will never be releasing a statement to tell the public if he breaks up with someone. "I've never done a statement in my life. I can't lie to you. I laugh at these so much. I can't do a statement. I'll just, you guys will just figure it out. You'll figure it out. I don't need to put a statement out saying I'm not with this person anymore. Like it was a relationship for me… Advertisement "When I see the statements as well, like some of them, I just think like you are just lying straight through that statement. We're still friends. You're not. You hate each other. "I just take a break off socials with me whenever something like that happens. Just take a break. Just go and find my family, friends, be with them. Make-a-Wish, Asheville Police Department bring child's dream to life
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) — The Make-a-Wish Foundation joined forces with Asheville's Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) to make a child's dream come true. Toby got the chance to partake in a 'villain battle' with four of the real Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who were flown in by Nickelodeon. Officers supplied Toby with gear necessary for his big battle, including a vest, hat, and Nerf gun. He even got the change to ride along with officers, operate a drone, and arrest the 'bad guys.' The 31-year-old, who has been part of the Channel 4 show since 2015, took to her Instagram page to share some snaps from what she got up to in May. Izzi was all smiles in one selfie with her new boyfriend Toby, who she went public with in Februar y, after splitting from her ex of 10 years. While in another she posed for a picture while on a dog walk with six pooches, she also showed off her stunning figure in a bathroom selfie and smiled for a snap with her sister co-star Ellie, 35, at a Kylie concert. Real-life TV couple announce big career move and and say ‘we can't wait'
Soap favourites Amy Walsh and Toby-Alexander Smith have revealed their new project away from the TV world. Amy, 38, is best known for her portrayal of Tracy Robinson on ITV's Emmerdale, while husband Toby-Alexander, 34, played wicked Gray Atkins in BBC flagship serial drama EastEnders. The couple were married in 2023 after meeting in the audience of a Strictly Come Dancing episode, and share daughter Bonnie-Mae together. Now they've turned their attentions away from soapland to launch a new business venture in Leeds. Amy's sister Sally established The Walsh Academy in London four years ago, and now it's heading North with classes led by the pair. Taking to Instagram to make the announcement, Toby revealed that the school, which opened earlier this month, will 'provide speech and drama classes for children aged from 7 to 16.' Amy added that they'd both be acting coaches, and that they want to inspire youngsters to express themselves and make friends, rather than to thrust them into the spotlight. Following their first session, Amy returned to social media to share her delight with how successful it had been. 'What an amazing first session and launch at @thewalshacademynorth', she wrote. Wowcher has a few Toby Carvery deal options on its site, including a two-course meal for two adults and two children for £32.99 - that works out at £8.25 each. For two adults and a child, it's £27.99, while two adults can go kid-free for £22.99. The carvery includes a two course meal - that can be a lunch or dinner - with a starter and main, or main and dessert. On the menu, there are a variety of dishes to choose from, including Toby's famous carvery, cheesy mushrooms and honeycomb dream sundae. Regardless of where families are based, there are over 150 Toby Carvery locations nationwide to choose from, and the deal is valid until September 15, 2025. It's worth noting that there may be an admin fee charge from Wowcher and customers are encouraged to read the T&Cs. For those not after Toby Carvery, Sunday Roast from Beefeater is £15.29, it has 30-day-aged sirloin, roast gammon, turkey breast or their vegetarian roast. There are also unlimited portions of crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy available for those who go for dinner. Alternatively, families could tuck into a big fry-up at breakfast for £10.99 - plus two kids eat free with every adult meal at breakfast. The Harvester also has a three-course set menu for £25.99 on June 14 and 15, which is a great way to treat dads who have a healthy appetite. Toby Carvery has been rated highly on Tripadvisor with a 3.6 out of 5 star rating from a total of 475 reviews online. One person said: 'I visited with my daughter before she headed back to Cambridge. We both had the vegetarian version. Plenty of choices available.' Another said: 'This is one of many visits we have made to the Toby Carvery through Wowcher, it offers excellent value for money, nice quality dining and we look forward to our next trip soon." Wowcher customers have awarded the site a 4.3 star rating on Trustpilot. One said: "Great choice of offers." While another added: "Easy to order, always a great range of options to choose from. Great deals, easy to transfer credit for other purchases." Those who have not had as good an experience on Wowcher have highlighted some confusion about how to redeem vouchers.
