Avengers: Doomsday Theory Connects Thunderbolts*' Fantastic Four Scene to Doctor Strange 2
A recent fan theory suggests that the post-credits scene featuring the Fantastic Four ship is connected to Doctor Strange 2. The Fantastic Four are set to debut in the MCU, with The Fantastic Four: First Steps coming to theaters in July 2025. The Thunderbolts* post-credits scene generated much hype for the upcoming movie, setting the stage for Marvel's first family's arrival. According to a social media user, the Fantastic Four ship in the Thunderbolts* post-credits scene could be from Earth-838. It was shown in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The user @Comicodigy posted the fan theory on their X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts. They asserted, 'THEORY: What If the ship from the Thunderbolts credit scene is actually the other members of the Fantastic 4 from Earth 838 coming to Earth 616 after the events of Multiverse Of Madness.' Comicodigy stated that the ship could belong to the team of John Krasinski's Reed Richards. His version of the character was last seen in Doctor Strange 2. However, Krasinski's Mister Fantastic was killed in the 2022 movie by the Scarlet Witch. This has urged some fans to also believe that the theory isn't strong. The user came up with the theory after Kevin Feige addressed the Thunderbolts* post-credits scene. SuperHeroHype previously reported that the Marvel Studios head suggested in an interview with Empire that the Fantastic Four ship at the end of Thunderbolts* might not be the one belonging to Pedro Pascal's Reed and his family. He stated, 'Their ship is the Excelsior, and there is a Fantastic Four ship entering the MCU … But I'm not sure they're the same ship.' This has led to fans engaging in discussions based on this theory. However, the answer will only be provided once Fantastic Four: First Steps arrives in theaters on July 25, 2025.

'Thunderbolts' Filmmaker Confirmed as 'X-Men' director

In a story about Marvel's 2028 release dates, it was speculated that the "X-Men" reboot could be one of the features scheduled for the year. It was mentioned that Jake Schreier had been chosen as the director for the film, though this is the first time that's been confirmed. Now that we know who will be helming the first MCU "X-Men" film, we still need to wait to learn exactly who will be in the film. We know many of the stars from the Fox X-Men films will be appearing in "Avengers: Doomsday", including Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn and James Marsden. Add to that Channing Tatum, whose version of Gambit finally got its chance to shine in last year's "Deadpool & Wolverine," but has never been shown as part of an X-Men team on the big screen. There is also continuing speculation that Hugh Jackman will appear in either "Doomsday" and/or the follow-up "Avengers: Secret Wars". But will Schreier use X-Men we already know and love, or will he introduce us to a brand new batch of mutant heroes? Netizens Discuss 'Disappointing' Box Office Performance Of Local Superhero Film 'Keluang Man'
The crime-fighting, almost mentally deranged Malaysian superhero, 'Keluang Man', has piqued nationwide interest with its all-out marketing, playing into the hype of superhero movies such as Thunderbolts and Superman. The idea of mixing Batman into a Malaysian concoction of a superhero could very well be a recipe for success, but would it reflect on the box office stats? With three weeks in, Astro Shaw's 'Keluang Man' had reportedly collected a RM2.4 million gross in the last 18 days of showing. The chart prepared by FINAS lines up the list of Malaysian movies, including the likes of 'Ejen Ali The Movie 2: Misi Satria' and 'Gayong'. According to reports, the production and marketing costs of the film amounted to RM13 million. Despite being under the Compulsory Screen Scheme and produced by a mega film company, Astro Shaw, the performance of the movie proved to be far from expectations. Reports also state that the movie had only attracted up to 141,000 viewers since its premiere on 29th May 2025. Astro Shaw Head, Raja Jastina Raja Arshad, explains that despite its low viewership, the main focus of the movie is not solely to collect figures but is about paving a new direction for Malaysian films. 'For us, this project is an effort to open a new path for local superhero films. 'Keluang Man' is not just a collection, but about a new direction', he adds. Netizens were more than quick to chime in on why the reception was low, linking it to unsuitable premiere dates and lack of interest from younger generations. Twitter user @/duniainiboneka comments, 'Generational gap. Gen Z and Gen Alpha don't care about 'Keluang Man'. They should have created an animation first to slowly introduce the concept to the new generation'. Another Twitter user @/al_harith comments, 'Ejen Ali's premiere timing was really good as it was during the school break. Mom and dads don't really care if the movie isn't good, as long as the kids have fun'. A quick search on today's reports from FINAS on the 'Keluang Man' grossing shows that the film has gained over 1.3 million in a day, with a gross of RM3.8 million as of 19th June 2025. After Thunderbolts* underwhelmed in theaters, failing to reach $400 million at the box office, the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie is heading to digital and Blu-ray. Marvel Studios has announced that Thunderbolts*, a.k.a. *The New Avengers, will hit VOD platforms like Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home on July 1, 2025. However, those wishing to make Thunderbolts* a permanent, yet physical addition to their movie collection will have to wait until July 29, which is when the MCU blockbuster will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. The 4K UHD release comes with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for a truly cinematic superhero experience. Marvel is also releasing this edition as a limited-edition SteelBook featuring custom artwork and premium packaging. There will also be a Walmart-exclusive Blu-ray featuring pop-up artwork.
