The 58-year-old culinary star, who had previously been absent from the birthing room for his older children Megan, 26, twins Jack and Holly, 25, and Tilly, 23, due to wife Tana Ramsay's wishes, was present for the arrival of their fifth child, Oscar. However, the Kitchen Nightmares icon's elation quickly turned to alarm when he passed out while cradling new-born Oscar, with Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' playing in the background. On the Smartless podcast, Gordon revealed: "Let's make one thing absolutely clear, my wife didn't want me in there. First of all, she said, 'I want my mum and your mum in there, you're not going to see me in that state, that side of the curtain, get out of there.' "That was her decision and I had to respect that decision. When I did final arrive in the theatre for our fifth baby I f****** collapsed like a wimp! I blacked out holding Oscar in the air." Gordon has been sharing some intense moments from the delivery room, recounting, "He was coming through the sun roof so there was a lot of commotion going on. They said, 'What do you want to listen to?' So I said, 'Can you play Ed Sheeran?' "So they started playing Ed, they turned up the volume, I can hear all these noises, all of a sudden I see two more doctors dive in, I look to the floor and there was blood everywhere. They popped him out and then they came straight over to me and I went, 'Woah, woah, s***.' I sat back and I collapsed like a f****** idiot." The celebrity chef and his wife Tana are basking in the joys of parenthood once more with their little ones Oscar and Jesse James, who joined the family in 2023. Gordon, a three Michelin star culinary maestro, is keen on instilling strong work values in his children, ensuring they understand the importance of hard graft rather than relying on their privileged background. Proud of his older children's diverse career choices, Gordon does admit to a twinge of disappointment that his daughter Tilly, aspiring to be a chef, opted for training at Ireland's Ballymaloe Cookery School instead of one of his own kitchens. Gordon emphasised the importance of balance in life, saying, "Balance is critical. Every time we were filming throughout the US the kids would come with us and then we were take them out of school two weeks early, and they put them back two weeks late, so we would do the filming schedules around the shooting schedules. "It's a lot easier now, we had four amazing kids and then Tana and I has this crazy idea to go back for more. So there's quite a big gap. Megan, she's our eldest, she's 26, she's an incredible police officer back in London. "Then we have the twins who are 25; Jack is a Royal Marines Commando, Holly is in to her fashion. And then there's Matilda, who is 23, who has just come back from culinary school, would you believe, a beautiful school called Ballymaloe. "I am a little bit miffed that she didn't ask me to train her and she's gone off elsewhere. She's seen the shows, that's the problem! You've got to give them the values, and instil those values, they can't depend on mum and dad."

Gordon Ramsay passed out when his son was born - as Ed Sheeran's songs played in the background. The 58-year-old TV chef was never in the delivery room for the births of his first four children - Megan, 26, fraternal twins Jack and Holly, 25, and 23-year-old Tilly - because his wife Tana Ramsay was adamant that she didn't want her husband to see her in the agony of labour, nor witness the realities of child birth. Gordon though was present when his son Oscar, six, came into the world as Tana was having their baby boy via caesarean section. But the Kitchen Nightmares star's moment of joy soon soon became a moment of panic when he feinted whilst holding the newborn, all to the soundtrack of Thinking Out Loud singer Sheeran. The three Michelin star chef has always tried to instil a work ethic in his older four children and not hand them everything on a plate just because they are fortunate enough to have wealthy parents. Gordon is very proud of the varied career paths each of his older children have taken, but he is a little disappointed that his daughter Tilly, who wants to be a chef, decided to be trained at Ireland's Ballymaloe Cookery School rather than at one of her father's restaurants. U.S. Supreme Court denies reopening the lawsuit against Ed Sheeran On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court denied reopening the case against Ed Sheeran, over his hit track Thinking Out Loud's copyright issue. The case was filed against the musician by the team of Marvin Gaye, who claimed in the filing that the Photograph singer's track was quite similar to the latter's 1973 classic, Let's Get it On. The lawsuit was first filed against Sheeran in 2023, by the Structured Assets Sale company, owner by David Pullman. The company owns copyright interest in Gaye's song, and they sought for monetary damages from the singer over similarities between the two songs.

Ed Sheeran copyright claim for Grammy-winning hit rejected by Supreme Court
Pop singer and award-winning songwriter Ed Sheeran found himself caught up in a 'devastating' lawsuit yet again, as he was accused of stealing from a classic 1970s hit Ed Sheeran is a hitmaker above all else, with countless number one songs and writing credits for the likes of Rihanna and One Direction, but his most recent success comes from a song he first released all the way back in 2014. One of the pop star's biggest songs, Thinking Out Loud, came under fire for allegedly using the copyright melody from Marvin Gaye 's Let's Get It On. This case was brought forward by Structured Asset Sales (SAS), which owns a portion of the rights to the song. Owner and investment banker David Pullman argued that the melody, harmony and rhythm were all copied by Sheeran. However, on July 16, the Supreme Court decided not to hear the case, keeping in place the lower court's decision that the singer was not liable in the copyright infringement lawsuit. The family's accusations resulted in them seeking an eye-watering $100m (£73m) in damages from the star. Sheeran was angered by this and put his decision to fight the case down to the simple fact that he would not act as a "piggy bank" for "anyone to shake". Thinking Out Loud is still one of the singer's biggest songs to date after spending more than two years in the UK charts. Not to mention, it racked up an impressive 4.8 million sales in the UK alone and went on to take home the Song of the Year award at the 2016 Grammys. In 2023, this case was dismissed by U.S. District Judge Louis Stanton, who decided that the elements the 34-year-old was accused of stealing are far too common. Following the verdict at the time, Sheeran spoke outside of the courthouse and shared his disappointment in being questioned on his song-writing capabilities. He said: "It's devastating to be accused of stealing someone else's song when we've put so much work into our livelihoods." Speaking on the matter this week was his co-writer, Amy Wadge. In an interview on BBC Radio 4's Today Programme, she shared that these copyright trials have "haunted" her for the last decade. Wadge further explained: "The absolute truth is that song changed my life. I didn't have a hit until I was 37, and that was the one. "I was able to feel like I'd had a hit for a year, and then all of a sudden it felt like the wolves were surrounding me. It was incredibly frightening." She went on to say that the case's dismissal was a "huge relief" for the both of them. Following on from the stress of the initial 2023 trial, both Wadge and Sheeran commemorated the event, commenting on how the pop star does best with a tattoo. The pair decided to get matching tattoos using a phrase one of the judges said in the trial: "independently created".

Los Angeles [US], June 17 (ANI): Ed Sheeran has scored a major legal win as the Supreme Court rejected a copyright lawsuit alleging that the British hitmaker's 2014 hit song 'Thinking Out Loud' copied music chords from Marvin Gaye's classic 'Let's Get It On'. On Sunday, the Supreme Court decided not to hear the case brought by Structured Asset Sales (SAS), which owns a portion of the rights to Gaye's song. The decision keeps in place the lower court decision that Sheeran was not liable in the copyright infringement lawsuit, as per Fox News. SAS, which is owned by investment banker David Pullman, had argued that Sheeran used the copyrighted melody, harmony and rhythm of Gaye's 'Let's Get It On.' The case was dismissed in 2023 after U.S. District Judge Louis Stanton decided that the musical elements Sheeran was accused of copying were too common. The dismissal followed Sheeran's victory in a separate copyright lawsuit over the song that was brought by the family of singer-songwriter Ed Townsend, who co-wrote Gaye's song 'It's devastating to be accused of stealing someone else's song when we've put so much work into our livelihoods,' Sheeran said outside the courthouse following that verdict SAS appealed Stanton's decision, though the New York-based 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the judge's decision last year. Meanwhile, Ed is basking in the success of his latest song 'Sapphire' that he made in collaboration with Arijit Singh. Sharing what went behind the track, Ed in an Instagram post wrote, 'Sapphire was the first song I finished for Play that made me know where the album was heading. It's why I finished the recording process in Goa surrounded by some of the best musicians in India. It was an incredible creative process. I shot the music video with @liampethickphoto and @nicminns across my India tour earlier this year, we wanted to showcase the beauty and breadth of the country and its culture.' He added, 'The final jigsaw piece for me was getting @arijitsingh on the record, I'll make a post about that in a few days but it was a journey to get there and such an amazing day of music and family. Me and him have done a full Punjabi version of the song that will come out in the next few weeks, which has a lot more of him on it.
