Several marijuana products recalled in New York State
ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) — New York State's Office of Cannabis Management has issued a recall on several cannabis products due to public health concerns. Multiple adult-use cannabis products produced by IndoGrow have been recalled. The regulated products are being sold through licensed cannabis dispensaries throughout New York State. According to the Office, the affected products were originally quarantined due to a lack of validity in testing by a former permitted laboratory. The Office authorized a re-test of the products, and nine lots failed due to the presence of unallowable pesticides, posing a potential risk to public health and safety. The following products are affected: The Force Pre-Roll Blue Coffee Flower Blue Coffee Pre-Roll Sour Runtz Flower Sour Runts Pre-Roll Cosmic Burst Flower Oreoz Flower Oreoz Pre-Roll Secret Formula Flower Dispensaries and distributors must cease distribution and sales of the above products immediately. The products may also go by names such as Indi, Grow by Indi, Our Creation, and Grow withUs. The Office of Cannabis Management reminds consumers to report any incidents related to the use of these products or any other cannabis product by completing an incident here. And as the rain lashes the painted windmill on hole five, it's my turn to take to the tee. Competing for the 16th time, double winner Adam, who triumphed in 2022 and 2023, is desperate to regain the title from his arch-rival. 'Last year, if I'm honest, I was just outplayed. Marc Chapman had a great year, and I wasn't quite at my best. 'I'd love to get the title back and go on to win five championships and to be talked about among the all-time greats of the tournaments. Of course I would.' But Adam is also a realist. He is aware that he and other elite performers are not striking fear into 'Rude awakening' 'You've got to have a sense of perspective,' admits Lincoln-based Adam. 'It's great to be able to call yourself a world champion and not many people get to do that. But I've also got enough perspective to realise it is a bit silly.' Flamboyant Texan Rainey 'Rainman' Statum has travelled 5,000 miles from Houston to compete for the first time in the competition and he is struggling with the conditions. 'This one has been on my bucket list for years and years,' says the confident 63-year-old. My ex-wife got rid of me because I played too much crazy golf, so yeh, it kinda cost me my marriage Rainey 'Rainman' Statum 'But it's been a rude awakening. I'm Texas-born and raised and it's usually 95 degrees out there, so I'm freezing. 'I've got five layers on and I'm still shivering but I'm still confident. And if it doesn't work out this year, I'll be back next year.' Rainey, who works in building maintenance at the Deerwood Country Club Golf Course in the US, featured in the 1996 comedy movie Tin Cup and has won $200,000 and numerous American crazy golf titles. Woman quit over results of ‘which Star Wars character are you?' personality quiz
A woman has been handed nearly £30,000 after she was compared to Darth Vader in a team building exercise. Lorna Rooke, an NHS blood donation worker, was told she had the personality of a Sith Lord by colleague Amanda Harber. Amanda had taken a Star Wars -themed Myers-Brigg psychology quiz on Lorna's behalf because she was out of the room on a call and told everyone the result. The quiz sorted people into 16 categories based on several factors including: introversion intuition decision making worldy perception Darth Vader was described as a 'very focused individual' who brought people together. However, Lorna said the result made her feel unpopular as she didn't like being compared to Darth Vader who is half-human, half-machine, and uses the dark side of The Force in pursuit of building his galaxy empire. She cited the comparison as one of the reasons why she resigned a month later. Employment judge Kathryn Ramsden agreed with her, saying the comparison was upsetting. She added that it was 'little wonder' that Lorna was upset. She said: 'Darth Vader is a legendary villain of the Star Wars series, and being aligned with his personality is insulting.' The tribunal found that her resignation was as a result of the comparison, but did accept the incident had been detrimental to her. As a result she was awarded £28,989.61 in compensation. Three other claims of unfair dismissal, discrimination and failure to make reasonable adjustments were rejected by the panel.
