Fox News Host Gleefully Mocks ICE Barbie's ‘Performance' Art
Jessica Tarlov pushed back on her Fox News colleagues who claimed that Alex Padilla's confrontation Thursday with Kristi Noem was an obvious photo op orchestrated by the California senator by reminding her co-hosts that the Homeland Security Secretary is 'in a costume all the time.' On The Five, Tarlov alluded to Noem's frequent dress-up excursions in the field—as a firefighter, a pilot, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, a Coast Guard boat operator, and a headscarf-wearing camel rider—after Greg Gutfeld described Padilla's video evidence of being wrestled to the ground and cuffed as the 'ultimate photo op.' 'Coming from the administration and a particular secretary who loves the performance art—she's in a costume all the time, she's doing a reality TV show of arresting migrants and showing up at CECOT,' Tarlov said as Gutfeld interrupted. 'You can't make us believe this is real anymore, Jessica,' he told her. 'The 'boy who cried wolf' story—I hate to bring it up, but we don't buy this B.S.' Since taking office, Noem has become known as 'ICE Barbie' due to her predilection for getting all dolled up in mission-appropriate outfits while tagging along with ICE officers. In the span of just four days in March, she also pretended to be a firefighter, a pilot, a member of the Maritime Security Response Team, and a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer. During another one of her trips to the southern border, Noem drew widespread mockery for appearing to point a rifle at an immigration officer's head. The former South Dakota governor was also criticized for filming a video in El Salvador's notorious CECOT mega-prison—while wearing what appeared to be a $60,000 gold Rolex. Optics seem to be quite important to Noem. Last month, The Daily Mail reported that her department was even in the process of pitching a reality television show in which immigrants would compete in challenges, with the winner obtaining citizenship. Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told the Daily Beast then that Noem hadn't reviewed the pitch, which was 'in the very beginning stages.' Noem, unnamed sources told The Daily Mail, supported the endeavor.

Jesse Watters' Dig At Simone Biles Hits A New Low — And It's ‘Incredibly Damaging'
Fox News host Jesse Watters recently shared his two cents about a public dispute between Simone Biles and right-wing activist Riley Gaines — and he decided to take a shot at Biles' mental health in the process. During a segment of 'The Five' on Wednesday night, Watters chided Biles as 'mentally weak' in a conversation about the gymnastics star, who recently criticized Gaines for bullying a teenage softball player, who is transgender. Gaines, a former NCAA swimmer, shared a picture on X, formerly Twitter, of the teenager posing with her team. Gaines misgendered the young athlete and complained that the comments on the photo were turned off. Biles, the most decorated gymnast of all time, responded on X by calling Gaines 'truly sick' and a 'sore loser' — a reference to Gaines tying for fifth place in a 2022 NCAA Division I national championship race against swimmer Lia Thomas, who is transgender. Gaines was among more than a dozen athletes who sued the NCAA in 2024 for Thomas' inclusion in the national championships. The Olympic gold medalist said that Gaines should be 'uplifting the trans community' and trying to make sports more inclusive. 'Bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male,' Biles wrote in another post. Gaines, for her part, referenced Biles' sexual abuse case against disgraced sports doctor Larry Nassar (who was convicted of sexually abusing female gymnasts) before writing in a post: 'Yet [Biles] believes women should be forced to strip naked in front of men to validate the man's feelings.' Biles, not Gaines, later apologized for getting personal in the online clash. On 'The Five,' Watters mocked Biles for the apology, comparing it to Elon Musk's recent change of tune after engaging in an explosive online spat with President Donald Trump last week. Watters jeered that he would refrain from criticizing the gymnastics icon too much in the event she decides to compete in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. 'I just want to lay back and hope she trains for L.A.,' he said. 'If we start messing with her head, she's mentally weak — remember the one time she...' he continued, while moving his finger in a circular motion by his head — a common gesture used to criticize someone's mental state. Biles has become an advocate for mental health awareness after she withdrew from several competitions at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, citing concerns for her mental and physical well-being. The gymnastics star shared that she was struggling with a disorientation issue that gymnasts sometimes experience, known as the 'twisties.' Watters' dismissal of Biles' efforts to focus on her mental health is 'incredibly damaging,' said Monica Cwynar, a licensed clinical social worker with Thriveworks, who specializes in trauma and coping skills. 'It undermines her strength and courage in addressing these issues,' she said. 'Mental health struggles are complex and often invisible, and equating them with weakness perpetuates harmful stereotypes that frankly just aren't true. This is the type of narrative that prevents people from seeking help.' Cwynar said that Biles faces heightened challenges as a Black female athlete in a predominantly white sport. 'For Black athletes, the pressure to perform can be compounded by societal expectations and biases,' she said. 'Biles' experience with 'twisties' highlights that prioritizing mental well-being is essential for performance, and it should be seen as a strength rather than a flaw.' Cwynar, a former gymnast herself, also emphasized how dangerous it would have been for Biles to compete while experiencing such disorientation. 'It could have ended with an injury that could have ended her career,' she said. Comments like what the Fox News host spewed on TV are likely to make people 'less likely to seek help or share their own struggles,' Cwynar said. And for Biles, these remarks can exacerbate any feelings of 'isolation or shame' that she may have experienced — 'especially considering the added scrutiny she faces as a Black athlete in a field that often overlooks the mental health needs of marginalized individuals,' she said. Watters' attacks on Biles help to create a 'culture where being vulnerable is seen as a weakness, which can have negative implications for mental health awareness,' Cwynar added. It's a 'common tactic in debates that rely on personal attacks,' Cwynar said. 'This approach deflects from the actual topic and shifts focus to character criticism.' Cwynar also said that 'given the racial dynamics at play,' Watters' remarks could reflect an underlying bias, since 'Black individuals often face heightened scrutiny.' 'This tactic aims to delegitimize her struggles and could perpetuate the idea that Black athletes are less competent or resilient, which is another insidious stereotype,' she said. Cwynar explained that she would encourage anyone who faces scrutiny or mockery for their mental health struggles to 'engage positively with their mental health journey through support networks or professional help can empower them.' As for Biles, Cwynar commended the gymnastics star for drawing attention to mental health awareness. 'She has helped many people get into treatment,' she said, 'and that's a win for us all.' Fox News host slammed by viewers as 'racist'
By Fox News presenter Jessica Tarlov has been slammed by viewers as 'racist' and 'elitist' after she asked her co-host Jesse Watters who would do his manicures if Trump's sweeping deportations continue. Tarlov, who serves as the sole liberal panelist on The Five, made the astonishing remark during a live show this week, prompting shock from Watters and many people who were watching. 'Thousands have been deported. People are in foreign gulags without criminal records,' Tarlov said, as the commentators discussed what sparked the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles on Friday. 'All right, well, Jessica, when you break into the country, you're gonna get kicked out,' Watters interjected. As the two continued to butt heads over whether illegal migrants have the right to stay in the US, Tarlov snapped and asked: 'Who's gunna do your manicure, Jesse?' Watters, clearly shocked, said he doesn't get manicures, to which Tarlov pushed back, saying she didn't believe him after seeing his nails 'every day'. 'I cut them very well. I mean, is that bad? You want me to come in here with fangs?' Watters asked, as the conversation degenerated from the issue at hand. Fox News viewers condemned Tarlov's comment, in response to a clip of the show being posted on the X social media platform. One viewer blasted the comment as displaying Tarlov's 'elitism'. 'The limousine libs want their indentured servants,' another person agreed. 'Remember, she gets paid to say stupid stuff,' a third person said, while another slammed her comment as 'racist and demeaning'. One person said the remark echoed an apparent common ignorance among Democrat voters. 'They really don't get why they lose,' the viewer wrote on X. It comes as tensions surrounding Donald Trump's sweeping immigration raids have reached a boiling point, with widespread unrest erupting across the country. Protests broke out in Los Angeles on Friday, in response to ICE agents allegedly detaining two truckloads of people at a manufacturing site in the California city. The demonstrations escalated into violence, looting and arson over the weekend, with several protesters also waving Mexican and Palestinian flags. Trump responded by mobilizing 4,000 National Guard members to quell the riots, along with 700 US Marines. LA Mayor Karen Bass also said a curfew had been put in place from 8pm until 6am in an effort to quell the unrest. 'If you drive through downtown LA, the graffiti is everywhere and has caused significant damages,' Bass said, adding that 29 businesses were looted on Monday night alone. Demonstrators have said that Trump's immigration raids are lacking due process, while breaking migrant families apart. The LA protests also inspired anti-ICE demonstrations in other cities including New York, Boston, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta. Some rallies involved a few dozen people, while others attracted thousands.

Jesse Watters' Outrage Over Term He Just Decried Backfires Spectacularly
Fox News anchor Jesse Watters was furious last month over James Comey posting '86 47' on social media, claiming the former FBI director 'obviously was trying to put out a hit' on President Donald Trump — but is now using the same term on his show. The conservative 'Primetime' host wielded the term both Tuesday and Wednesday to celebrate former ABC News correspondent Terry Moran and Democratic National Committee Vice Chair David Hogg getting ousted and leaving their posts, respectively. 'ABC just 86'd Terry Moran for calling Stephen Miller a hateful bigot,' Watters said Tuesday about the former correspondent, who was let go after criticizing the White House deputy chief of staff on social media. 'This was probably the easiest thing ABC ever had to do.' Watters used the same term for Hogg, who announced Wednesday on social media that he won't be running for reelection due to 'a crisis of competence and complacency' in the Democratic Party. 'So this guy got 86'd because he's white, he's a guy and allegedly he's straight,' Watters said Wednesday. 'I don't want to impose that on him. The Democrats say they learned a lesson last election, but you look at this and it doesn't look like they learned anything.' The term is commonly known to refer to the removal of someone from an establishment, or for a restaurant menu item that's no longer available, but was interpreted by Trump and his loyalists last month as a death threat after Comey shared the numbers on social media. 'He obviously was trying to put a hit out on Trump, got caught, deleted it,' Watters said on 'The Five' at the time. 'And he's got a book out — oh, what a coincidence! Any cop, any prosecutor knows the code for homicide.' The police code for murder varies from state to state, but no known law enforcement agency uses 86 for it. The most commonly known code for murder is California's 187, which was made famous by West Coast hip-hop and Los Angeles-set crime films. Watters is no stranger to airing apparent hypocrisies, however: he initially hailed the so-called Department of Government Efficiency for gutting federal agencies, only to plead with the Trump administration to spare those dearest to him when the cuts came home to roost. His double standard in using the term 86'd, meanwhile, is getting torched on social media. Fox News Host Spins Trump's L.A. Crisis as ‘the Biden Riots'
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld blamed former President Joe Biden for the ongoing unrest in Los Angeles—despite Donald Trump being five months into his second term. Speaking on Tuesday's The Five, Gutfeld railed against 'Biden's riots,' claiming without detailing any evidence that immigrants who entered the country under the Biden administration are now behind orchestrated clashes in California. 'These are the Biden riots, when you think about it,' he said. 'Remember the tens of thousands of men that flowed across the border, almost all entirely men—where did they go? I guess some were deported, but most of them are not deported yet.' The clashes began with a series of federal immigration raids on workplaces in the city that sparked protests. Those demonstrations prompted President Trump to send in the National Guard and then additional Marines. Officers have suppressed crowds with rubber bullets, pepper balls, tear gas, and flash-bangs. Several journalists have also been hit by projectiles, including Australian correspondent Lauren Tomasi, who was shot in the leg by a rubber bullet. Despite all of this, some in the MAGAverse insist it's all Biden's fault. Gutfeld even suggested that the protesters are 'professional freelancers' and argued that the disorder proves 'why Trump is necessary.' He also said June is now like 'Pride Month for Trumpers.' 'Walk outside openly in your red hats, let your Trump flag fly because you are not alone,' he quipped. He went on to suggest that so-called organizers of these protests are now instructing demonstrators to swap Mexican flags for American ones, calling the move 'another Trojan horse' and likening it to Biden's 2020 re-election campaign, which he claimed used patriotism as a 'trick' to hide radical intentions. 'The flag, like Joe, is meant to trick us into letting our guard down so there can be radical upheaval, which we are now seeing,' he explained. The Fox News host said the rallies are 'as orchestrated as the Boston Philharmonic.' Save for suggesting that migrants may have crossed the border during the former administration, Gutfeld did not explain how the protests are the responsibility of Biden, who left office in January 2025. But his blame-Biden logic appears to be part of a wider pattern among Fox hosts, who happily scapegoat the former president for today's crises. Sean Hannity, for example, has continued to refer to 'Biden's open borders.' 'We're still cleaning up Biden's mess,' Hannity said in a May 22 broadcast, while showing footage of migrant encounters that had occurred in 2023. In another instance, Laura Ingraham cited the 'legacy of Biden's weakness abroad' when discussing a flare-up between Russia and NATO forces in the Baltic Sea in late April. She was conspicuously silent, however, on Trump's failure to deliver on a promise to negotiate a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia on day one of his presidency. Last month, Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt suggested that 'the Biden economy' was still weighing down American families—ignoring the stock market havoc wreaked by Trump's import levies, and the extra costs for consumers. The finger-pointing is a trickle-down ploy from the commander-in-chief himself. 'This is Biden's Stock Market, not Trump's,' the president wrote on Truth Social back on April 30. 'I didn't take over until January 20th,' he continued, passing the buck for the tumbling stock market. 'Tariffs will soon start kicking in, and companies are starting to move into the USA in record numbers. Our Country will boom, but we have to get rid of the Biden 'Overhang.' 'This will take a while, has NOTHING TO DO WITH TARIFFS, only that he left us with bad numbers, but when the boom begins, it will be like no other. BE PATIENT!!!' Wall Street traders reportedly laugh at Trump's economic excuses, but his lieutenants have got the memo. 'This is Joe Biden's economy,' Vice President JD Vance said in response to anchor Bret Baier highlighting the first quarterly GDP fall in three years.
