30-year-old rock band to headline The Big E Arena on fair's opening night
Southern Rock jam band Gov't Mule will open The Big E's largest stage with a headlining performance on the first night of the fair's 2025 run. Gov't Mule will bring their 'Back in the Saddle Tour' to West Springfield on Friday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets and VIP packages to the concert will be made available for public sale starting Friday, June 20, at 10 a.m. through The Big E's website. Tickets bought ahead of the show date include admission to The Big E on the date of the concert. Gov't Mule, active since 1994, has 'galvanized a global fan base' over three decades, The Big E said. The Grammy-nominated band is led by guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and producer Warren Haynes, alongside drummer Matt Abts, bassist Kevin Scott, and keyboardist, guitarist and backing vocalist Danny Louis. The band has more than 20 studio and live albums in its discography. The Big E donates nearly $400,000 to the town of West Springfield
WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Each year, The Big E donates one percent of its annual gross revenue to the town of West Springfield to support the Eastern States Exposition Trust. Close to two million people attended the Big E last year. Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries following crash on River Street in West Springfield The ESE trust fund began in 1994, when the fair grew from 5 days to 17 days. The goal of the fund is to provide grants to local programs and initiatives supporting youth, senior citizens, and education. On Thursday, the CEO of Big E presented a check of $370,970 to the Mayor of West the largest donation so far. The Big E has contributed over five million to the trust. 'As we march through the past 20 years now, that trust is growing, and will continue to do great good for the community of West Springfield, and we're proud of it,' said Gene Cassidy, President and CEO of the Eastern States Exposition. In the past, the trust has provided grants to many organizations. Some include the Boys and Girls Club, the YMCA, and the West Springfield Library. The next round of grant recipients will be announced soon. Interested organizations can also submit a grant application through WWLP-22News, an NBC affiliate, began broadcasting in March 1953 to provide local news, network, syndicated, and local programming to western Massachusetts. Big E announces Court of Honor Stage lineup
WEST SPRINGFIELD — The Big E has announced its lineup for its Court of Honor Stage performances. The popular venue, situated in front of the Coliseum, hosts four daily shows at 12, 2, 5 and 8 p.m. during the fair, Sept. 12-28. All shows are free with admission to The Big E. A limited number of premium seats are available for select shows. Free seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Connecticut LGBTQ Film Festival Out Film CT will host the 38th Connecticut LGBTQ Film Festival June 20-28. The majority of the festival will be screened at the festival's longtime home, the historic and elegant Cinestudio on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford. Australian singer, rapper and songwriter The Kid LAROI will take The Big E's largest stage for a 'must-see performance' this fall. The artist is set to headline The Big E Arena in West Springfield on Friday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m., The Big E announced Tuesday.
