The 11 best restaurants in Santorini
Santorini 's lava-rich soil produces bushels of fine fare that you won't find elsewhere in Greece. A dozen wineries scattered across this tiny Cycladic island grow native grape varieties to produce a unique range of whites, reds and roses that are the perfect foil for creamy goat's milk cheese chloro, rosemary-spiked, vinegar marinated pork sausage loukanika and other local treats. Vegetables have striking flavours, too, but the best home-cooked fare, ranging from crisp domatokeftedes made with the island's sweet cherry tomatoes to garlicky olive oil-doused yellow split pea fava, is generally found in tavernas away from the caldera's crowded rim. All our recommendations below have been hand selected and tested by our resident destination expert to help you discover the best restaurants in Santorini. Find out more below, or for more Santorini inspiration, see our guides to the island's best hotels, bars, things to do and beaches. Best all rounders To Psaraki With its tiny port, gritty black-sand beach and museum dedicated to the tomato paste industry that once flourished in Santorini, Vlychada is rarely on tourist radars. It's worth making the trek to this low key seaside resort on the island's southern tip, however, for To Psaraki, an unpretentious fish taverna on a strip of road high above the beach. Here chef Thanasis conjures up a magical selection of dishes, including his signatures: herb-grilled sardines topped with chopped onions and served with a lemon sauce and flame-charred aubergine puree with smoked eel. The offering varies depending on what the fisherman happens to catch that day.

We feel this opportunity is the best one possible and he will participate in the best league in Europe and the world. "We are confident in his desire and ability to work hard to allow him to shine as he has done so far in his career." Brothers who achieved together Of course, it is bittersweet saying goodbye to a son who has lived his entire life in and around Athens. Kostoulas' mother Eirini said it was "emotional" to say goodbye but that this was the best opportunity that her son has been presented were also reflections from the family of memories like "Babis'" scissor kick against PAOK at Under-15s level, a first senior goal against the same club this season and, most poignantly, seeing both brothers lift the Uefa Youth League elder brother Konstantinos has a photo of himself and Babis celebrating beating AC Milan 3-0 in the final to win the title, the equivalent of the Champions League at youth level, in 2024 for Olympiakos. The pair are holding up the Greek and club flags and the image is a screensaver on his phone.
