Rockstar releases background fixes for GTA Online Money Fronts DLC issues
Source: Rockstar Games Following the launch of the summer-themed Money Fronts DLC, Rockstar Games quietly deployed a background update to GTA Online to address various gameplay bugs and progression issues without requiring a visible download. The server-side fixes don't require players to download a manual update. The changes are in reaction to the feedback from the community and are made for smoothing out the experience following the substantial content update. Silent update addresses broken progression and mission crashes As per community insider Tez2, Rockstar's background update dated June 19 is particularly aimed at bugs added with the Money Fronts DLC. Fixing one of the most important issues solves a problem in the "Current Liabilities" mission, in which players were not getting progress credit for completing the Tier 4 challenge despite reaching the maximum bonus. Aside from the progression bug, Rockstar also fixed a crashing bug when starting Mr. Faber missions. Another was a glitch where players couldn't access the Cayo Perico Beach Party after ordering an RC Tank. All these were server-side fixes, which means that these were done without interrupting gameplay through a downloadable patch. For those still experiencing the Tier 4 challenge problem, it's recommended to redo the Current Liabilities mission and gain the best bonus once more, as the solution will now properly monitor progress. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Top Cardiologist Says This Food Can Do Wonders For Your Health Gundry MD Learn More Undo Background patches stabilize post-DLC gameplay Such server-side updates are standard procedure after large GTA Online content releases. Rockstar tends to keep an eye on the launch window for several days in order to identify and fix problems as fast as possible and reduce frustration among players. Though not quite as noticeable as downloadable patches, background fixes are important for keeping the game balanced and functioning smoothly. Even though there has been some frustration expressed by players regarding early Money Fronts bugs, Rockstar's quick response indicates the developer's continued commitment to GTA Online. It also indicates an ongoing trend of enhancing game health without imposing unnecessary downtime or downloads. The recent background update for GTA Online proves Rockstar's quick response to fixing bugs related to the Money Fronts DLC. By tackling major issues such as challenge tracking and mission crashes, the developer makes sure players can enjoy the new content smoothly. As usual, further updates might be released based on community feedback and live performance. GTA 6 delay opens door for long-awaited GTA IV remaster, insider claims
Source: Rockstar Games Rockstar Games ' recent announcement of a GTA 6 delay has rekindled rumors of what the developer will eventually release in the meantime. While fans now have to wait until May 26, 2026, to visit Vice City again, one of the most prominent industry insiders is advising that Rockstar could perhaps bridge the gap with an expected GTA IV remaster , possibly releasing before the end of the year. Rockstar could release GTA IV remaster during GTA 6 delay — Dexerto (@Dexerto) As per trusted leaker Tez2, Rockstar could take advantage of the time between GTA 6's release by dropping a remastered version of Grand Theft Auto IV. The insider posted that work on the remaster had been ongoing for at least a year and teased a potential release window later in 2025. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like AI guru Andrew Ng recommends: Read These 5 Books And Turn Your Life Around in 2025 Blinkist: Andrew Ng's Reading List Undo This argument becomes more plausible when coupled with Rockstar's recent shut-down of the Liberty City Preservation Project (LCPP), a fan-made mod that remade GTA IV's Liberty City within GTA V. Tez2 pointed out this action may be an indication of Rockstar's desire to restore Liberty City via an official remaster instead of letting third-party reinterpretations succeed. Initially released in 2008, GTA IV had been acclaimed for its gritty storyline and realistic atmosphere. A remastered release on current consoles would probably include graphical improvements, better gameplay, and perhaps new content, a pleasant diversion for fans getting restless over GTA 6's lengthy development period. Strategic opportunities and Rockstar's future plans Tez2 also theorized that the GTA IV remaster might be part of a larger post-pandemic plan Rockstar mapped out years earlier. That involves possible ports of other legacy games such as Max Payne 3, which would possibly come after the GTA IV release. These steps would assist Rockstar in sustaining momentum and fan interest while refining GTA 6 for next-gen systems. The firm has yet to officially announce any such intention for a remaster of GTA IV, but its recent activities indicate a measured effort to bring back previous games in revised format, something it has previously done for the GTA: Trilogy – Definitive Edition. While the delay of GTA 6 would be disappointing to excited fans, the potential release of a GTA IV remaster can offer a silver lining. If Rockstar does return to Liberty City, it can act both as a nostalgic visit and a strategic choice to keep gamers engaged until GTA 6 eventually releases in 2026. GTA 4 Remastered could arrive this year according to leaks, and it needs it
Leaks are claiming that a new remaster for GTA 4 could touch down before 2025 is out, and it couldn't be a better time to capitalize on a game that sorely needs a new lick of paint. A new rumour has appeared thanks to one GTA leaker, who claims that GTA 4 Remastered could be on the way before the end of the year. It's hard to deny that GTA is the franchise of the hour – and frankly, the last few decades. When Rockstar Games so much as twitches, it sends shockwaves through the entire gaming industry, which makes the fact that it revealed a major GTA 6 delay and the long-awaited GTA 6 trailer 2 all in the space of a week all the more surprising. The gaming company pulled out all of the stops to ensure that the disappointment of receiving history's most anticipated game was alleviated, and it seems as though they may have just managed it. There's no surprise that the title has so much pressure on it – GTA 6 is the latest instalment of gaming's biggest franchise ever, following on from a lineage of games that seem to transcend iconic. They're a beast of their own, and all eyes are on the new title. But as it seems, players should be keeping an eye on the past. New leaks have appeared from a leaker widely considered to be the closest to Rockstar Games on the internet, and they indicate that Grand Theft Auto's past could be about to get a new lick of paint. Return to Liberty City Even though Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was an unmitigated disaster when it launched, it looks like Rockstar Games is taking up a new opportunity to reboot a game in dire need of some changes, as a GTA leaker has claimed that GTA 4 Remastered could be on the way. Taking to GTAForums, notable leaker Tez2 has responded to a question about the potential of a remake or remaster of Niko Bellic's adventure, and they seem to expect a new port for the game. 'Someone at R* hinted at the IV port, and by now it should've gone up a year in development,' they say. 'We may end up seeing it drop later this year. And it's one more reason, in addition to existing reasons, the LCPP mod was taken down. If they still follow their plan laid out from the pandemic days, they'll do an MP3 port after IV. So that is an opportunity to do a bundle or a Definitive Edition. Max Payne 1 & 2 remakes, and a Max Payne 3 port.' It's a surprising revelation, especially when many players would hope that the entire Rockstar Games workforce would be trying to push GTA 6 over the line, but there's no doubt that GTA 4 is deserving of a new lick of paint. The game's vehicle controls are loose and wobbly, and its visuals are a little overexposed, which suits its art style, but doesn't feel particularly modern. GTA 4 Remastered's arrival by the end of the year would be a treat for many players, especially if it tidies up a number of issues that make the game's brilliant story a little hard to access these days. Take the leaks with a pinch of salt, as even Tez2 could be wrong – but there's little doubt that it's an exciting implication. It looks like we're going to have a very GTA-heavy couple of years.

'Grand Theft Auto IV' Remaster Reportedly Hitting The Streets Later This Year
Grand Theft Auto VI might have been delayed to May next year, but new rumours suggest that Rockstar Games is gearing up for a remastered port of 2008's Grand Theft Auto IV , and that it could be released as early as this year. The latest rumours come from known Rockstar insider Tez2, who wrote on the GTA forums that someone at the studio had 'hinted' at a GTA 4 port. 'By now it should've gone up a year in development,' the insider added, 'We may end up seeing it drop later this year.' According to Tez2, the port was one of the reasons why Rockstar took down the Liberty City Preservation Project earlier this year, a fan-made mod which would have added a playable version of GTA 4's map into GTA 5 . The insider also hinted that a port of 2012's Max Payne 3 was also in the works, and would release after the GTA 4 remaster, writing that 'If [Rockstar follows] their plan laid out from the pandemic days, they'll do an MP3 port after IV . So that is an opportunity to do a bundle or a Definitive Edition. Max Payne 1 & 2 remakes, and a Max Payne 3 port.' As always, these rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt, although they do make sense considering Grand Theft Auto IV is set in Liberty City, which is also where Grand Theft Auto VI protagonist Lucia Caminos is from, so releasing a port before release not only serves as a good way to tide fans over while they wait, but also introduce some links between the two games. For now, all fans can do is wait for official confirmation from Rockstar on the rumoured remaster. In the meantime, its next mainline entry, Grand Theft Auto VI , is due out on 26 May 2026 for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and has recently received its second trailer alongside more details on its characters and world.
