SOG arrests clerk in Forest Guard exam paper leak case
Jaipur: The Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested a govt employee, an Upper Division Clerk (UDC) in the Commercial Tax Dept (Circle-E) in Jodhpur, in connection with the 2020 Forest Guard recruitment exam paper leak case Thursday.
The accused, Govind Tetarwal, was produced before a court in Banswara Friday, which granted an 11-day police remand for further questioning. He is being brought to Jaipur for additional interrogation, police said.
According to SOG officials, Tetarwal leaked the Forest Guard recruitment exam paper to at least three candidates. A total of 35 people have been arrested so far in connection with the case, including Tetarwal.
He was allegedly in contact with one of the main accused, Jabraram Jat, who carried a cash reward of Rs 50,000 on his head. Through Jabraram, Tetarwal arranged the exam paper for the candidates. "Tetarwal used to operate a liquor shop, where a salesman contacted him to arrange the paper for the Forest Guard examination. He also arranged the paper for a relative of his uncle," said an SOG officer.
The officer added that besides these three candidates, more individuals might have received the leaked paper through Jabraram.

Police further noted that over 10 members of Tetarwal's family are employed in govt jobs, prompting a detailed inquiry.
Tetarwal went on leave in March and did not return, despite multiple departmental notices regarding his unauthorised absence. As a result, his salary was suspended.
During the investigation, SOG also collected relevant documents and information from the Commercial Tax Dept. Tetarwal joined the service as a Lower Division Clerk (LDC) in 2018 and was posted in Jodhpur since then.
