When is Canelo vs Crawford? Date, fight time, undercard and how to watch
Later this year, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez will box Terence Crawford in one of the biggest commercial fights in years. Mexican icon Canelo defends all the major super-middleweight titles in Las Vegas, where he faces arguable pound-for-pound No 1 Crawford at Allegiant Stadium – home of the Raiders NFL team. The unbeaten Crawford is a four-division world champion, having gradually worked his way from lightweight up to super-welterweight, yet this 167lb clash with Canelo will see him make a further, stark jump in weight. If he succeeds against Canelo (63-2-2, 39 knockouts), the 37-year-old American (41-0, 31 KOs) will become boxing's first three-weight undisputed champion. Meanwhile, 34-year-old Canelo is also a multi-weight champion, who recently regained undisputed status at super-middleweight, his preferred division in recent years. While this is a somewhat contrived showdown from a weight perspective, it is perhaps the biggest boxing match since Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao, 10 years ago – at least from the perspective of an American audience. It pits the face of boxing, in Canelo, against a man deemed by many as the finest boxer alive right now. Here's all you need to know. When is the fight? Canelo vs Crawford will take place on Saturday 13 September at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Timings for the event have not yet been announced, but it's likely that the main card will begin at 1am BST on Sunday (5pm PT / 7pm CT / 8pm ET on Saturday), with main-event ring walks following at 4am BST on Sunday (8pm PT / 10pm CT / 11pm ET on Saturday). How can I watch it? The event will stream live exclusively on Netflix around the world. It will be available to all Netflix subscribers globally, i.e. it will not be a pay-per-view event. Jaron ‘Boots' Ennis makes major career move and gives up world titles
Jaron 'Boots' Ennis has announced he is moving up to super-welterweight, vacating the IBF and WBA welterweight titles in the process. The unbeaten American, 27, has been one of the standouts at welterweight in recent years, especially with Terence Crawford leaving the division after becoming undisputed in July 2023, and Errol Spence Jr not having boxed since losing to Crawford that month. Ennis long eyed a bout with Crawford, but the latter's sole bout since beating Spence Jr took place at super-welterweight, where he collected the WBA title with a win over Israil Madrimov last August. And now, Crawford is preparing for a super-middleweight megafight with Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, the undisputed champion. With Ennis's biggest welterweight fight having eluded him, he is set to emulate Crawford, 37, in moving up in weight. Or is he chasing the pound-for-pound star? While Crawford is due to face Canelo at 167lb in September, it is possible that the American could return to 154lb thereafter. His bout with Madrimov saw him compete at a career-highest weight – which he will of course exceed against Canelo – as he stayed unbeaten and became a four-weight champion. 'ITS TIME! 154,' Ennis wrote on Instagram on Wednesday (18 June). 'YALL SAID THIS WHERE THE SMOKE AT RIGHT!? 'LETS HAVE IT THEN! 2X WEIGHT DIVISION CHAMP • 4X TIME WORLD CHAMP LOADING.' Crawford still holds the WBA super-welterweight title, while Sebastian Fundora holds the WBC and WBO belts, and Bakhram Murtazaliev is IBF champion. Last time out, Ennis dropped and stopped Eimantas Stanionis in the sixth round in April, retaining the IBF welterweight strap and collecting the WBA version.

(Photo by) The confusion over when the boxing match between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford will occur is over. Alvarez vs. Crawford will take place on Saturday, September 13, in Las Vegas. The fight card will stream exclusively on Netflix. Despite knowing the date and streaming service, the venue for the fight has not been announced. In May, Alvarez unified the super middleweight titles, winning back the IBF crown he never lost in the ring with a 12-round unanimous decision win over William Scull at ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Not long after the win, it was announced that Alvarez will put his IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO, and The Ring titles on the line against Terence Crawford on September 12 in Las Vegas. The matchup takes place at Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders. Not long after that announcement from Turki Alalshikh, the Ring Magazine wrote that the fight date would be September 13 and that the location was up in the air. At the time, The Ring said the location of Alvarez vs. Crawford would be 'chosen from five venues overall in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York.' As of now, it appears as if Las Vegas will remain the location of the fight. The venue remains in question. The 34-year-old Alvarez (63-2-2 with 39 KOs) has been competing mostly at super middleweight since 2020. The win over Scull moved his 168-pound record to 11-0. The 37-year-old Crawford, 41-0 (31 KOs), last fought in August, defeating Israil Madrimov to win the WBA light middleweight title and vacant WBO interim light middleweight belt. Prior to that fight, Crawford became the undisputed welterweight champion with a ninth-round TKO win over Errol Spence Jr in 2023. The win over Madrimov was Crawford's first fight over 147 pounds (154). He will be stepping up to 168 pounds to face Alvarez in Vegas. Dana White rubbishes claims he is no longer involved in Alvarez-Crawford
UFC head Dana White is once again promoting the upcoming boxing match between Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Terence Crawford. White was originally set to promote the fight when it was slated to be in Las Vegas on 12 September. However, a statement on The Ring 's website two weeks after the initial announcement said that the fight would be promoted instead by Saudi firm Sela and not White's TKO Boxing. Now, White says that he is once again promoting the bout. White said in a press conference following UFC 316 that there was a lot of 'f***ed up things about boxing'. He added: 'I'm promoting the fight.' However, White also confirmed that he had not spoken with Alalshikh in some time but added that things were 'good' between them. He added: 'Listen, we're at work at UFC headquarters. I'm in my own little world, man. I don't pay attention not any of that shit. I know what's going on. I know what we're doing. And I don't really pay attention to that stuff. It doesn't matter to me.' White went on: 'I don't even remember the last time I talked to [ Alalshikh ], but we're good. It's very good. We're very good.' The match between Alvarez and Crawford, thought to be the top two pound-for-pound fighters in boxing, has been dogged with changes since it was first announced. Long moving towards each other, the fight between Alvarez and Crawford moved into full visibility following the former's victory over the Cuban William Scull in May. Originally planned for Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on 12 September, the fight between Alvarez and Crawford has been moved to a day later, causing a conflict with a planned football game at the same venue. In light of this, Turki Alalshikh then said that the promotion was looking at five venues in three different US cities for the bout. Yesterday afternoon, the fight was finally confirmed for 13 September in Las Vegas, although the precise venue has yet to be named.
