If you are a movie buff, then for you, the climax of any film holds as much importance as the storyline, the casting, or the plot does. A movie without a good climax will fall flat and might make your entire movie-watching experience boring. But the power of a good climax is that it will make you think about the plot even after you step out of the theatre. Well, there are many such films whose climax is still talked about. Today, we bring to you a list of the 7 best climaxes in a Bollywood film. 1. Talaash The 2012 film starring Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most iconic ones. The climax will always remain one of the best, as it was completely unexpected. The Sitaare Zameen Par star plays a cop who is trying to solve the mystery behind a murder and deals with the grief of his son's accidental drowning at the same time. He comes across a s*x worker during this investigation and finds emotional solace with her. But it is only at the end that it is revealed that Bebo's character Rosie was dead from the start, and she was trying to bring justice to her own death. 2. Masaan A film that portrays some of the finest performances by actors like Vicky Kaushal and Richa Chadha. This film became the gateway to Bollywood for the Chaava actor. Well, this is a beautiful film with stories of two different individual belonging to two different cities and dealing with their own difficulties, meeting in the end. It is one of the most inspirational and powerful climaxes with an amalgamation of grief, liberation, hope and a lot of mixed emotions. 3. Kal Ho Naa Ho Sometimes, it's not about happy endings, and this Karan Johar directorial starring Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta is a classic example of it. A film whose ending is not an unexpected one yet manages to bring out all the grief from within. With SRK lying on the deathbed and every character in the film bidding their emotional goodbyes, the climax is surely going to make you cry hard, no matter what age you are and no matter if you are watching it for the nth time. This one surely classifies to be one of the most emotional endings in Bollywood. 4. Drishyam One of Ajay Devgn 's best thriller films of all time has to be this one. The film, which also stars Tabu, who plays the IG of Goa, was also one of the highest-grossing films of the year. The story is about a common man going to extreme lengths in protecting his family after his daughter accidentally kills the IG's son. The climax comes as a surprise to everyone when the viewers are made to believe that the police have finally cracked the case, and just when Ajay's character is cornered by Tabu's, it's revealed that he has already buried the body beneath the new police station building. And the case is closed. 5. Barfi Not every film has to have a powerful and twisting climax. There are times when even the simplest of endings create a big impact and make the viewers leave the theatre with a happy heart. Well, Barfi is just that! The Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra starrer was a beautiful film with a mentally challenged girl crossing paths with a man who is dumb and deaf. How they meet, develop feelings for each other, get married and even pass away very peacefully in each other's arms is just what we need to see sometimes. 6. Kahaani The amount of shock Vidya Balan's 2012 film's climax has given the viewers will always be incomparable. Vidya Bagchi, pregnant and grieving, arrives in Kolkata in search of her missing husband. Suspense arises when she confronts a man who looks like her husband and kills him. It is revealed in the end that she was faking her pregnancy all throughout, and this hit like a thunderbolt to the viewers. The twist was that she was a trained intelligence officer planning revenge for her real husband's death. 7. Lunchbox Lunchbox will always remain a special film not only because it stars the late Irrfan Khan but also because it portrays a unique love story. Ila, played by Nimrat Kaur, is trapped in a lonely marriage. Her lunchbox she mistakenly sends to her husband, reaches Saajan, played by Irrfan, and they form a bond. After several exchanges of notes, Ila decides to leave her unhappy marriage and plans to elope with Saajan, who, in the end, has a change of heart. But when he finally starts searching for her again, the film ends without giving closure to the audience on whether these two met or not. There are many other films whose climaxes will always be remembered, and it enhances the entire experience of watching the particular film. But our favorite remains the ones listed above.

Distraught Moushumi Chatterjee called husband when asked to wear revealing outfit during shoot: ‘They have taken away all my clothes, I feel naked'
Although she emerged as one of the biggest names in the film industry during the 1970s, appearing in numerous movies alongside major stars, Moushumi Chatterjee never 'compromised her dignity'. Not only did she firmly refuse to do anything on screen that made her uncomfortable, but she also didn't hesitate to confront anyone who attempted to cross her personal boundaries in real life, even if that meant literally slapping them back into place. Recently, the actor recalled an instance when she was pressured to wear revealing clothing for a scene, which shattered one of her personal vows and left her in tears. From the beginning of her career, Moushumi had resolved not to wear short or revealing clothes in films. So when she was suddenly handed such a costume during the shoot of one of her movies, she felt heartbroken and just wanted to run away. The actor revealed that she immediately called her husband and pleaded with him to send her back to their hometown of Kolkata, saying she 'didn't want to work' anymore. The incident took place on the set of director Raj Khosla's Kuchhe Dhaage (1973), in which she starred alongside Vinod Khanna and Kabir Bedi. Moushumi said she only learned about the costume when it was handed to her by designer Mani J Rabadi. Upon receiving a backless blouse with just strings and a short ghagra, she broke down in tears. 'Seeing those clothes, I felt as if I had become naked. I started crying and made a call to my husband that please send me back to Kolkata. I don't want to work here. They have taken away all my clothes. And he came running and made me understand that it was alright, and then I completed the film,' she shared during a chat with Filmfare. Prior to Kuchhe Dhaage, Moushumi Chatterjee had apparently turned down the opportunity to work with ace filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee in Guddi, as the character was required to wear short skirts. 'I didn't do Guddi because the heroine was supposed to wear a short skirt. My father said no because, firstly, this was a Hindi film, and because we didn't know who Hrihsikesh Mukherjee was,' she recalled. The role eventually went to Jaya Bachchan, and it changed the trajectory of her career. Moushumi Chatterjee and Hrishikesh Mukherjee later joined forces in the television serial Talaash (1992).

'I can't wear...' Director wanted to destroy THIS actress's career, was hurt by her decision to not..., later she..., her name is... Moushumi Chatterjee has cemented her place as one of the most admired actresses of Indian cinema. She was one of those rare actresses who actually started working as a leading lady in Hindi movies after she got married. In a recent interview, Moushumi talked about her career struggles, and how she lost out the lead role in Guddi, a film that later went to Jaya Bachchan, and became a milestone in her career. At the age of 15, Moushumi Chatterjee made her acting debut with the Bengali film Balika Badhu, alongside legendary actor, Uttam Kumar. Around the same time, she got married to Jayanta Mukherjee, and had received an offer from director Hrishikesh Mukherjee to work in Guddi (1971) . She turned down the film as her character was supposed to wear a 'short skirt'. In a chat with Filmfare, Moushumi Chatterjee recalled, 'I didn't do Guddi because the heroine was supposed to wear a short skirt. My father said no because firstly, this was a Hindi film, and because we didn't know who Hrishikesh Mukherjee was. He said I did Talaash only because I wanted to make up for what happened on Guddi. He said, I ruined your career.' Hrishikesh was so upset by Moushumi's refusal that he promised to destroy her career even before it began. Years later, while working on the 1990s TV show, Talaash , he confessed that her rejection hurt his ego, and he no longer wanted to cast her as heroine. That's when, the role was offered to Jaya Bhaduri (now Bachchan), and catapulted her to fame. 'He said… 'At that time, I was such an egoist. I thought you said no to Hrishikesh Mukherjee, we will see how you come and make a career in Mumbai.' He said, I did not want you to work on that movie. I don't want this heroine, I want that heroine.' Moushumi revealed. Moushumi shared that she was never comfortable with revealing outfits, and started wearing sarees at the age of 13. In the same interview, she recalled an incident when director Mani J Rabadi asked her to wear a backless blouse and short ghagra for a film. She started crying and told her husband, 'I feel like I am naked.' He then assured her that the dress was okay and not anything unusual for films.

Jaya Bachchan was cast in Guddi because Moushumi Chatterjee hurt Hrishikesh Mukherjee's ego: ‘I didn't want to wear a short skirt'
Moushumi Chatterjee was one of the rare female actors of her time who actually started working in Hindi movies as a leading lady after she got married. Moushumi shared in a recent interview that she got married at 15 to composer Hemant Kumar's son Jayanta, and explained that she was never ambitious about her career. She shared that before she got married, she had received an offer from director Hrishikesh Mukherjee to work in Guddi (1971), which later starred Jaya Bachchan (then Bhaduri), but she refused the offer because the character was required to wear short skirts. Hrishikesh was so upset by her refusal that he vowed to destroy her career even before it began, but for Moushumi, he wasn't even on her radar because she wasn't thinking about a career in films. In a chat with Filmfare, she recalled working with Hrishikesh Mukherjee in the 1990s television series Talaash. The series was being produced by Jayant, so Hrishikesh assumed that Moushumi would make an exception and work on a Sunday, even though she was very strict about spending time with her daughters on holidays. Moushumi refused to budge and that's when Hrishikesh revealed to her that he 'ruined' her career even before it began. 'I didn't do Guddi because the heroine was supposed to wear a short skirt. My father said no because firstly, this was a Hindi film, and because we didn't know who Hrihsikesh Mukherjee was. He said I did Talaash only because I wanted to make up for what happened on Guddi. He said I ruined your career,' she recalled. She remembered Hrishikesh's words saying, 'At that time, I was such an egoist. I thought, 'You said no to Hrishikesh Mukherjee, we will se how you come make a career in Mumbai'. He said, 'I did not want you to work on that movie. I don't want this heroine, I want that heroine.' And that's how he cast Jaya in the role that changed the trajectory of her career.
