Rumor: The NEW iPad Air with M4 and OLED Display is Coming!LAY

Apple's forthcoming iPad Air is poised to redefine the mid-range tablet market with a series of notable upgrades, including the introduction of an OLED display and the powerful M4 chip. These advancements bring the iPad Air closer to the iPad Pro in terms of performance and display quality, while maintaining a more accessible price point. Expected to debut in 2026, the new iPad Air is tailored for users seeking advanced features without the premium cost associated with the Pro lineup. The video below from Matt Talks Tech gives us more details about the device. Watch this video on YouTube. OLED Display: Elevating Visual Excellence For the first time, the iPad Air will feature an OLED display, a technology previously reserved for the iPad Pro. This upgrade represents a significant leap forward in display quality, offering: Deeper blacks that enhance contrast and visual depth. Richer, more vibrant colors for a lifelike viewing experience. Improved brightness and clarity, even in challenging lighting conditions. Whether you're streaming high-definition content, editing photos, or simply browsing the web, the OLED screen delivers a more immersive and visually striking experience. By incorporating this advanced display, Apple narrows the gap between the iPad Air and its Pro counterpart, providing premium visual quality at a more affordable price. M4 Chip: Balancing Power and Efficiency At the heart of the new iPad Air lies the M4 chip, a high-performance processor engineered to handle demanding tasks with ease. While it is one generation behind the iPad Pro's M5 chip, the M4 still offers substantial improvements over its predecessor. Key advantages include: Faster app launches and seamless multitasking for enhanced productivity. Improved energy efficiency, resulting in longer battery life for extended use. Reliable performance for both casual users and professionals tackling intensive workflows. This makes the iPad Air a versatile option for a wide range of users, from students and creatives to professionals who require dependable performance without the higher cost of the Pro series. Design and Features: Striking a Balance The iPad Air continues to strike a balance between premium features and practical design, making it an appealing choice for users who value functionality and affordability. While it retains a slightly thicker build compared to the iPad Pro, it offers several thoughtful design elements: Touch ID integrated into the power button, making sure secure and convenient authentication. A lack of Face ID and LiDAR sensor, distinguishing it as a mid-range device while keeping costs lower. Despite these differences, the iPad Air remains a highly capable device for a variety of tasks, from productivity and creative work to entertainment. Its design reflects Apple's commitment to delivering a cost-effective solution without compromising on essential functionality. Models, Pricing, and Accessibility Apple is expected to release the iPad Air in two sizes, catering to different user preferences and needs: An 11-inch model starting at $599, ideal for portability and everyday use. A 13-inch model starting at $799, offering a larger display for enhanced productivity and media consumption. This pricing strategy ensures the iPad Air remains a competitive option for users seeking high performance and advanced features without the premium price tag of the iPad Pro. By offering multiple size options, Apple broadens the iPad Air's appeal to a diverse audience. Software and Compatibility: Future-Ready Features The new iPad Air will launch with iPadOS 26, which introduces a range of enhancements designed to improve the overall user experience. Key software features include: Enhanced multitasking capabilities allow users to manage multiple apps more efficiently. Improved app functionality, ensuring smoother performance across a variety of tasks. Additionally, the iPad Air will support the Magic Keyboard 2, providing a seamless typing experience for users who need a laptop-like setup. This compatibility further enhances the iPad Air's versatility, making it a practical choice for both work and leisure. Why the iPad Air Deserves Attention With its OLED display and M4 chip, the iPad Air cements its position as a high-performance, cost-effective alternative to the iPad Pro. It offers: Premium display quality, ideal for creative professionals and media enthusiasts. Dependable performance for multitasking, productivity, and entertainment. An affordable price point that appeals to a wide range of users. Whether you're a student, a creative professional, or a casual user, the iPad Air delivers a compelling combination of features and value. Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 benchmark listing leaves nothing to the imagination

Samsung's next flagship tablets aren't coming until fall presumably, but we already know quite a lot about the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The two slates were recently spotted on Geekbench, the benchmark score aggregator, which means some of their key specs have been reports claimed Samsung has decided to use MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 or Dimensity 9400+ in its flagship tablets, which was probably a bit disappointing for Samsung fans used to with devices powered by Qualcomm's Dimensity 9400 chipset made its debut last year and will most likely be outclassed by the incoming Dimensity 9500. To make matters worse, MediaTek's new flagship chipset will be introduced before Samsung's tablets said, we have one more piece of the puzzles revealed thanks to a new benchmark listing. The regular Galaxy Tab S11 was recently spotted on the Geekbench website with model number SM-X736B. The tablet listed uses a chipset with eight cores: 1 core @ 3.73GHz, 3 cores @ 3.30GHz, and 4 cores @ 2.40GHz. The base frequency of the chipset is 2.40GHz, but that's about all the information available at first glance. According to previous reports, the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra might be equipped with either Dimensity 9400 or Dimensity 9400+ CPUs. It's also possible that Samsung will put the Dimensity 9400 chip inside its regular Galaxy Tab S11 and the Dimensity 9400+ CPU in the Ultra model. Besides packing a MediaTek Dimensity 9400/9400+ chipset, the Galaxy Tab S11 seems to come with 12GB RAM and Android 16. The Ultra model is likely to have slightly upgraded specs, but it's unclear which pieces of hardware will be beefed up. Both Samsung's flagship tablets, Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, are expected to be introduced sometime in September. There won't be a Plus model this year, as Samsung seems to have decided to limit its lineup of flagship tablets to just two models.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite seemingly spotted in the Geekbench database

Back in April, we heard a rumor that Samsung was working on the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, which would be the cheapest Tab S10. This was said to be using the Exynos 1380 SoC. Now, a Samsung tablet with the model number SM-X406B has been spotted in the Geekbench online database, and wouldn't you know it - it's powered by the Exynos 1380. Since Samsung uses the "X" prefix in its model numbers for the Galaxy Tab S line, this is pretty obviously the Tab S10 Lite. It has 6GB of RAM and runs Android 15, and those are all the details that the benchmark has revealed. As you can see, it managed a 782 single-core score and a 2,637 multi-core score in Geekbench 5.5.1 for Android. Nothing else is known about the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, but since people are already in possession of prototypes and running benchmarks on them, we're pretty sure we'll hear much more about this device sooner, rather than later.
