RTC to transport devotees for free in Tirumala
Tirumala: TTD additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary informed that APSRTC buses have been made available to ply within Tirumala transporting devotees free of cost. After flagging off the free RTC bus trips at Ashwini Hospital Circle in Tirumala on Thursday morning, he said that to prevent the high fares charged by private vehicles from devotees and to control pollution in Tirumala, TTD asked APSRTC to operate buses. The RTC officials responded positively and came forward to operate buses. He also said that these buses ply along the route of TTD-run Srivari Dharma Rathas in Tirumala and transport devotees from one area to another for free. Adding further he said, already TTD is plying 300 trips daily in Tirumala through Srivari Dharma Rathams. With the addition of RTC buses, an additional 80 trips have been made possible, he observed. He said that with the availability of free buses from every eight minutes has now come down to every two minutes, thereby strengthening the public transport system. The additional EO also said that it will be convenient for the devotees to go directly to Tirupati by boarding these RTC buses in various parts of Tirumala without coming to the bus stand and paying any additional charges except the Tirumala-Tirupati en route fare. APS RTC executive director Paidi Chandrasekhar, TTD transport GM Sesha Reddy, deputy EO Lokanatham, Tirupati district public transport officer Venkata Rao, deputy CTM Vishwanath, deputy CME, Balaji, Alipiri depot manager Srihari, DI Tirumala Venkatadri Naidu and other officers participated.

Tirupati Airport to be renamed after Sri Venkateswara Swamy!!!
Tirumala: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board has decided to write to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, requesting that the Tirupati Airport be renamed as 'Sri Venkateswara International Airport'. Along with this proposal, the Board also resolved to recommend that the airport be redesigned to reflect the aesthetic and spiritual ambience of Tirumala, replicating its divine architecture and sacred atmosphere. The Trust Board met on Tuesday at Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala under the chairmanship of B R Naidu. The meeting was attended by Executive Officer J Syamala Rao, Additional Executive Officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, and several board members. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Chairman Naidu elaborated on the key decisions taken by the Board. He said that the Trust Board has approved the allocation of TTD land on a lease basis for the establishment of a CSIR laboratory in Tirupati, to be set up by the Central Government. This lab will provide TTD with facilities to conduct free quality testing of essential materials like ghee, water, and food products used in the daily activities and rituals of the temple. The Board has recommended to the APPSC to halt ongoing recruitment for lecturer posts in TTD educational institutions. To address the concerns of nearly 200 existing contract lecturers, a three-member committee has been constituted following the directive of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. As part of its efforts to modernise educational institutions, the Board has decided to upgrade the prestigious TTD-run college in New Delhi. He stated that during a recent meeting with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, a request was made for constructing a temple in Bengaluru. The Board has now decided to proceed with the construction of a Sri Venkateswara temple in a prime area of Bengaluru. The project will move forward once the Karnataka government allocates the required 47 acres of land. In another major development, Union Minister for Heavy Industries H D Kumaraswamy has agreed to provide TTD with 100 electric buses through the central government. Steps are being taken to bring these buses to Tirumala at the earliest to promote environmentally friendly transportation for pilgrims. Expanding its efforts in spiritual education and training, TTD will now collaborate more extensively with the Samarasata Seva Foundation to not only continue training priests but also to offer instruction in various rituals and worship methods. A new cultural programme titled 'Mana Varasatvam' will be launched to teach students the spiritual values of Hinduism and the cultural richness of the Telugu tradition. On the occasion of Varalakshmi Vratam, special celebrations under the title 'Sowbhagyam' will be held at the Tiruchanoor Padmavathi Ammavari Temple. TTD Board members Jyothula Nehru, Panabaka Lakshmi, Thammishetti Janaki Devi, Naresh, Sadashiva Rao, Shanta Ram, Rammurthy, Divakar Reddy, Bhanu Prakash Reddy, and others were present during the meeting. The decisions mark a significant step toward strengthening the spiritual, cultural, and educational vision of TTD.

TTD proposes to name Renigunta airport after Lord Venkateswara
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board of trustees on Tuesday decided to recommend renaming the Renigunta airport as 'Sri Venkateswara International Airport' and send a proposal in this regard to the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation. Addressing the media, TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu and Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao said that the proposal aimed to infuse the facility with a 'distinctive spiritual and iconic character', befitting its proximity to the shrine of Lord Venkateswara. Another important decision taken at the meeting was to build a Lord Venkateswara temple in Bengaluru. The decision was taken following a request from Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Sivakumar, who, in principle, have agreed to allocate 47 acres of land for the purpose. Electric buses As part of its commitment to eco-friendly transport, the TTD is all set to receive 100 electric buses from the Ministry of Heavy Industries facilitated by H.D. Kumaraswamy. These buses will be deployed for the transportation of pilgrims at Tirupati and Tirumala, subject to demand and feasibility. The board also decided to lease about 30 acres of land for the setting up of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) laboratory in Tirupati, where it intends to test essential commodities such as ghee, water and food and other ingredients used in the preparation of prasadams inside the hill temple and thereby ensure their quality. Another important decision taken was to modernise TTD Degree College in New Delhi and to recommend the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to halt the recruitments in the TTD-run institutions. A three-member committee headed by Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, which has been formed as per the instructions of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, will recommend a decision regarding the recruitments after addressing the concerns of around 200 contract lecturers working with the TTD but yet to get regularised despite putting in tens of years of service. The TTD is also planning to expand its public outreach with spiritual programmes such as Akshara Govindam, Harikatha Vaibhavam, Bhagavad Gita Anushtana Bodhana, Bhaje Srinivasam, Vana-Nidhi, Giri Janardhanam, and Sanmargam for the benefit of a wider audience. The board also resolved to observe the World Yoga Day at the parade grounds behind the TTD administrative buildings in Tirupati on June 21.

SVIMS to offer AI-based medical services to needy soon: TTD chairman
Tirupati: Sri Venkateswara institute of medical sciences (SVIMS), a multi-specialty hospital established by the Tirupati trust, will soon offer Artificial Intelligence-based medical services and perform a higher share of surgeries through robotic arms, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams ( TTD ) chairman BR Naidu announced. Taking part as chief guest at the 13th Convocation of the TTD-run medical university held in Tirupati on Wednesday, Naidu recalled the institute's meteoric rise right from its conception by the then chief minister Late NT Rama Rao in 1993 to getting on the verge of becoming an Institute of National Importance (INI). The institute has been reaching out to the poor and needy patients of the backward Rayalaseema region for the last three decades, offering services to 1500 out patients and 750 in patients everyday. The college produces 175 female doctors every year in the super specialties of cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, nephrology, urology and oncology. "SVIMS is only the second in the public sector in the entire country to run an all-women medical college, which is a matter of pride", TTD chief added. TTD EO J Shyamala Rao congratulated the 501 young doctors graduating from the institute and hailed SVIMS for becoming the first public sector medical institute in India to perform triple transplantation surgery of heart, liver and kidney. SVIMS Director and vice-chancellor Dr RV Kumar read out the annual report and thanked the TTD trust board for taking up developmental works at the hospital.
