Central Bank of Egypt unveils $1.58bln T-bills end-week
Cairo – The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 80 billion through two offerings on Thursday, 19 June. The first tranche stood at EGP 40 billion, holding a tenor of 182 days until 23 December 2025, according to official data. With the same value, the second auction will mature in 364 days on 23 June 2026. Earlier this week, the central bank issued T-bills worth EGP 60 billion through two auctions. Uber One subscription service launched in Qatar, offers discounts up to 10%
Doha, Qatar: Popular ridesharing app Uber has started rolling out its subscription model in Qatar offering a discount for eligible rides up to 10%. At QR12 monthly subscription, the Uber One membership offers first subscribers a month free of this service, and will also allow cancellation any time for any reason. The service states that the benefits are only available for eligible rides marked with the Uber One icon, and will not be available for all types of rides. Riders can earn 10% reduction on rides after completion of set amount of rides deemed eligible by the application, and will receive a set of Uber One credits to be used for the discount rides. Uber One credits will expire 60 days after being added on user's wallets. The required order minimum for benefits to apply may change from time to time, according to the details provided by the application interface. Egypt: ENRRA confirms no radiation changes amid ongoing regional developments
Arab Finance: Egypt's Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA) confirmed that there are no indications of any change or increase in the radiation background across the country, as per a statement on June 14th. ENRRA said it maintains 24-hour monitoring of regional nuclear facilities, in line with current circumstances. The authority noted that it constantly monitors reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and coordinates with relevant national bodies. Gold prices in Egypt hike on Sunday
Arab Finance: The gold prices in Egypt recorded a collective surge on Sunday, with the 24-karat hitting EGP 5,600 per gram for purchasing and EGP 5,628.5 for selling, iSagha's data showed. The 22-karat gold price climbed to EGP 5,133.25 for buying and EGP 5,159.5 per gram for selling. Likewise, the 21-karat gold jumped to EGP 4,900 per gram for purchasing and EGP 4,925 for selling. The 18-karat gold price also increased to EGP 4,200 per gram for buying and EGP 4,221.5 for selling. KUWAIT -- Kuwait's oil price edged up USD 2.04 to reach USD 69.21 per barrel yesterday Thursday compared to Wednesday's USD 67.17 pb, as reported by Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) on Friday.
