Kendall Jenner's tequila brand is hosting a West Village bar crawl for the Solstice

We did it! Tomorrow is summer solstice, the longest day of the year. To celebrate our extra hours, sun-loving New Yorkers can soak up sizzling rays on Manhattan's new beach, party like a Swede, or (perhaps most enticing) sip the best margaritas in NYC. If Kendal Jenner has her way, all the West Village girlies and their besties will flock to her tequila-fueled bar crawl across Lower Manhattan. Beginning Friday, June 20, the notorious star's liquor brand 818 Tequila will host a 'Sip Into Summer' series all weekend long, featuring notable watering holes like historic White Horse Tavern and full glam Sweet Linda, among others mapped below. Slip out of the office early to toast the official start of summer with tequila cocktails like spicy watermelon margaritas and tequila mules — maybe encourage your coworkers to cut loose, too. Even St. Tropez Wine Bar, the Provençal grape destination, created a custom cocktail called Spicy Solstice to set your summer nights ablaze. Of course, event organizers hope you hop across lower Manhattan to taste every agave concoction, but you could always park it at your favorite spot to take full advantage of happy hour drink specials. Downtown at Blue Haven South, the 818 Daisy (tequila, citrus, liqueur) is only $12, while White Horse Tavern will be slinging refreshing cucumber margaritas for $17. Most other drinks on the boozy path ring up between $19 and $22. Check out the full list of participating bars: West Village Arthur & Sons (38 Eighth Ave) White Horse Tavern (567 Hudson St) Lume (259 W 4th St) St. Tropez Wine Bar (304 W4th St) Nolita Beyond the Pale (53 Spring St) East Village Sweet Linda (9 Second Ave) FiDi Blue Haven South (121 Fulton St) Lower East Side Bar Belly (14 Orchard St) Pardon Me (162 Orchard St)

Viktor Gyokeres to Arsenal reaches crucial stage with final calls for transfer

Viktor Gyokeres is looking to depart Sporting CP this summer with interest from Arsenal and Juventus amid the striker's row with his current club over the fee for his signature Juventus have reached out to Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres' representatives, in order to better understand the forward's transfer position amid his fallout with his current club. The Swede is top of the Italian side's shortlist as general manager Damien Comolli attempts to sign a striker. Gyokeres is currently in conflict with Sporting and believes the club are reneging on an agreement to sell him for €60million plus €10m in add-ons (£51m plus £8.5m). Instead the Portuguese giants are holding out for €80m (£68m). ‌ Juventus could yet find that Arsenal could prove the biggest obstacle in securing a deal for the goalscorer, who bagged 54 goals in 52 appearances. Gyokeres is currently on holiday amidst the row, but the Gunners are reported to have a basic understanding with Cetinkaya. ‌ The Serie A giants were ready to offer Gyokeres a stunning £11m-per-year deal to try and persuade Gyokeres to head to Turin. However, Corriere dello Sport claim the Italian side have been informed that Gyokeres only wants to join Arsenal this summer. Gyokeres may not yet get his own way however, with the Gunners also eyeing a move for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. The north London side have long targeted the Slovenian forward and look set to act upon that this summer. Sesko is understood to have agreed personal terms with Arsenal, and the Bundesliga side are prepared to sell the forward after missing out on Champions League qualification. But Leipzig are only prepared to part ways if they receive a fee north of £60m. Sesko was linked with a transfer to Arsenal in 2024 as well, only to sign a new contract instead. That deal runs until 2029 as the Gunners attempt to come to an agreement. Mirror Football understands that, of the two strikers, Sesko is Mikel Arteta's preferred option. Arsenal's progress with Sesko could make or break Juventus' move for Gyokeres. As a result, the Old Lady is waiting before moving on to their plan b in case they find themselves in pole position. Juve's back-up is said to be a move for Victor Osimhen. The Nigeria international is expected to departed Napoli this summer after failing to get a permanent move last summer, when he moved on loan to Galatasaray. Liverpool 'certainty' over potential Isak transfer as Newcastle lay out demands

Liverpool have been linked with making Newcastle star Alexander Isak their latest big-money signing this summer and the Reds have been told exactly when they could sign the striker Liverpool would 'love' to continue their summer splurge with the signing of Alexander Isak - but they have encountered a huge problem. The Reds are in the midst of a lucrative spending spree as boss Arne Slot attempts to refresh his squad. Jeremie Frimpong has been signed from Bayer Leverkusen as Trent Alexander-Arnold 's replacement. He is expected to be followed by both Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez after Liverpool thrashed out deals worth £100m and £40m with Leverkusen and Bournemouth respectively. ‌ And the Reds might not even be done there, with Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi touted as a potential replacement for the outgoing Jarell Quansah. Newcastle sensation Isak is a name that has been linked with Liverpool in the past, and according to The Telegraph, the Swede is a player that the Reds would 'love' to sign. ‌ But it is detailed that Liverpool 'almost certainly' have no chance of signing him this summer. Newcastle would want to bank over £150m for their star forward this window - and that is a fee that seems hard for Liverpool given their huge spending so far. As it stands, nothing is imminent between the Reds and Newcastle, with discussions over Isak - both formal and informal - not even being held at this stage. Meanwhile, Isak appears to be satisfied with life at St James' Park. Speaking last season, he said: 'I don't know much, to be honest. From within the club and from our side there are absolutely no discussions. It's just full focus on playing for me. There's not much to say, really. I've commented on my situation and my security in Newcastle several times. 'It's been written how much I love the city and the club, how well I feel there. I'm not thinking about the future. I just want to perform for Newcastle. Now we won the cup, but we want to finish strong and reach the Champions League games. That's where my focus lies. 'There is no reason for me to think about anything else (other than Newcastle). I feel incredibly comfortable at Newcastle. The only focus I have is on playing.' ‌ Meanwhile, Eddie Howe has spoken out on Isak's future and could not completely rule out a sale - but has reaffirmed his desire to keep the striker at the club. He said: "I never make those guarantees about any player and it's not to do with Alex's future but I'd be foolish to sit here and do anything like that. 'We want to keep our strongest players, I've said that ever since I've been here and sat in this seat. We have to try and keep our best players and bring in more good players to make us even stronger because the ambition of the club and everyone connected with the club is long-term success and that's the only way to get that."
