A.P. government to hold landmark meeting marking one year in office

In a major administrative and political gathering, the State government will hold a high-level review meeting titled 'Suparipalana Tholi Adugu' (First Step towards Good Governance) at 4 p.m. on Monday in Amaravati, marking the completion of its first year in office. The event will take place on a specially constructed stage behind the Velagapudi Secretariat. Postponed earlier due to the Ahmedabad plane crash, the meeting will bring together the full spectrum of the State's governance apparatus—Collectors, Superintendents of Police, Heads of Departments (HoDs), Secretaries, MLAs, Ministers and MPs from all 26 districts—for a collective review of administrative progress, developmental achievements, and future goals. The session will focus on evaluating key welfare initiatives, policy reforms and infrastructure development undertaken in the past year while charting the roadmap for the next four years. With a vision aligned to the ambitious Swarna Andhra @2047 framework, the coalition government aims to rebuild the state's economic, social, and industrial foundation following the setbacks of the previous administration. A detailed report highlighting achievements across sectors—including Polavaram, Amaravati capital revival, investment promotion and large-scale employment generation—is expected to be presented. Plans to generate 20 lakh job opportunities and attract significant industrial investments will be key talking points. This is the first time such a comprehensive administrative review is being held with participation from all district-level and state-level stakeholders. Officials and elected representatives will reflect on the 'first step' taken in restoring good governance and fulfilling public expectations. The event will conclude with a dinner hosted by the Chief Minister and Cabinet Ministers, symbolising solidarity and a unified approach to governance, according to a press release.
