Why Troy Aikman doesn't mingle with his famous neighbors Meghan Markle and Prince Harry? The NFL star finally explains

NFL icon Troy Aikman explains why he keeps his distance from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry (Getty Images) NFL icon Troy Aikman may be enjoying the peace and quiet of Montecito, California, but he has no plans to bond with two of the neighborhood's most talked-about residents — Prince Harry and Meghan Markle . The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, known for his down-to-earth nature, lives just a stone's throw away from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but proximity doesn't always translate to friendship. What's keeping Troy Aikman from befriending Meghan and Harry? In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Aikman made it clear that his social circle doesn't overlap with the royals. While promoting his EIGHT Elite Light Beer, the 58-year-old Hall of Famer jokingly said, 'I don't think they're drinking much light beer.' That light-hearted jab revealed more than just a taste in beverages — it hinted at a cultural disconnect between the NFL legend and his royal neighbors. Despite living in the same upscale enclave of Montecito, Aikman hasn't had any run-ins with the couple. 'I haven't run into them. But they are there, from what I can gather. I think anyone with a heartbeat knows that they're out there,' he said, before adding with a chuckle, 'But I'm not hanging with them, that's for sure.' Troy Aikman Jokes About Why He Hasn't Spent Time With Neighbors Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Montecito has long been known for its serenity and exclusivity, but that reputation has slightly shifted since Harry and Meghan made the move in 2020 following their royal exit. Since settling into their $14 million mansion with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the Sussexes have drawn a mix of curiosity and criticism. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Вот что поза во сне говорит о вашем характере! Удивительные Новости Undo Some locals, as revealed in Vanity Fair, have expressed discomfort over increased traffic, tourist activity, and rising property prices, suggesting the couple's presence may have changed the dynamics of the neighborhood. However, it's not all icy receptions for the Duke and Duchess. They've reportedly built close ties with high-profile residents like Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King, and once shared a friendly bond with Ellen DeGeneres before she relocated to England. Aikman, meanwhile, is laser-focused on his broadcasting duties. As one-half of ESPN's 'Monday Night Football' duo alongside Joe Buck, he continues to bring expert analysis and seasoned commentary to fans across the country. Having transitioned from the football field to the broadcast booth in 2001, the three-time Super Bowl champion remains a fixture in American sports media. While Aikman may not be mingling with Montecito's royal residents, he seems content with his own path — one paved with beer, football, and zero royal entanglements. As he prepares for the upcoming NFL season, it's safe to say he's staying firmly in his lane — and far from the palace gates next door. Also Read: Did Travis Kelce really lose 25 pounds? The Duchess of Sussex, 43, will suffer a 'terrible revenge,' according to royal watchers who appeared on The Sun's Royal Exclusive show. Mr Vickers told the paper's royal editor Matt Wilkinson: 'I just think there's gonna be a terrible revenge when those children grow up. 'I mean, I don't know about you but I would be very annoyed if I found that I'd been used in all these posts in a strange way by my parents.' The prince and princess were recently featured in a social media post during a trip to Disneyland. Mr Vickers added: 'Equally they're also going to grow up at one point and discover that they never knew their grandparents, their grandfathers. 'I mean Mr Markle, of course he's a broken man, but he's a rather sweet man actually and he did a lot for that girl when she was growing up don't you think?' Ms Gill said: 'I spoke to him a couple days ago actually and he's just absolutely still distraught about the fact that he still doesn't have contact with Meghan.' Mr Vickers said: 'And then of course they will also wake up to realise that they could have been the cousin to Prince George, a future king and they could have been over here having a nice time and with the other children their cousins they aren't gonna know them.' Talking about the apparent change in social media strategy from the Sussexes, Ms Gill said: 'I mean it's pretty interesting this new Instagram PR strategy though I must say. 'I know we talk about the backs of the children's heads. How dare Meghan lecture the royal on 'truth'? Her whole brand is built on LIES 'The children's faces were front and centre of those videos, so it seems like this new PR team has just chucked everything that she previously had out the door and said no we want you twerking we want the kids faces and we want everything out there and we want the public to be able to dissect it. 'So that's a very interesting sort of shift for that brand Meghan and Harry and I really think that it's tragic that the King and Thomas Markle senior were not included at all and not in the children's lives. 'It's really a tragedy.' Elsewhere in our exclusive chat, Matt noted how he was stunned at Meghan's latest podcast interview where she asked people to "tell the truth about her". Samara added that perhaps the "revolving door of staff" the Sussexes have employed may shed more light on "truth". Countless staff members have joined a long list of people who over the years no longer wish to associate with the mum-of-two. Samara also referenced bullying allegations levelled at her from staff during her time at Kensington Palace. The royal expert added: "I don't want to listen to this woman about truth. "The fact of the matter is that she is a constant liar." The Duchess of Sussex recently appeared on her podcast alongside friend Emma Grede, CEO of Good American, where she seemed to take several digs at the Royal Family. On the podcast, Meghan revealed that she wanted people to "tell the truth" about her, when asked "if you you could rewrite your public narrative from scratch, is there anything you would do differently?" The Duchess went on to share advice that she had received from Serena Williams regarding how she was viewed in the public after falling love with Prince Harry. "My dear friend Serena, she told me years ago: 'A lie can't live forever,'" said Meghan. But Hugo, agreed with Samara on the issue and questioned how accurate Meghan's accusatory comments actually were. He said: "I think Samara and I, as well as others, do tell the truth about her and I don't think she likes it very much." The royal expert added: "No one would actually listen to Meghan Markle if it wasn't for the fact she married Prince Harry. "It's because she's married to Harry it gives the soap opera quality that seems to appeal to everyone. "Otherwise would not really care about her, a lot of other people are doing stuff similar to her on social media anyway." It comes after the Duchess broke her silence on her cringey twerking video after it sparked wild conspiracy theories. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, posted the footage earlier this month showing her and Prince Harry dancing in a hospital room as she tried to induce daughter Lilibet's birth in 2021. 6 Harry and Meghan's children featured in a number of photos posted to social media Credit: Instagram 6 Meghan has been pushing her podcast Credit: YouTube

Brooklyn and Nicola have two things that can make them the next Harry and Meghan

Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz-Beckham could follow in the footsteps of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with the duo urged to make a statement amid the Beckham family fallout As the Beckham feud continues to escalate, Brooklyn and Nicola have been told to follow in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's footsteps. As the fallout in the Royal Family made headlines for months, the Sussexes have finally started to rebuild their brand - and the Beckham-Peltz's have been told they could benefit from doing the same. Hot on the heels of purchasing a sprawling £10.5million abode in Hollywood, Brooklyn and wife Nicola have been told that it could be a "great idea" to mimic the plan of Meghan and Harry. A celebrity PR from the United States claimed that while Brooklyn is currently better known for his father, he has the potential to go it alone. ‌ Jane Owen of Jane Owen PR exclusively told the Mirror: "I think that venturing on their own a la Meghan and Harry would be a great idea. They have a good basis of name recognition that they can build on." ‌ And Jane said the pair are "both cute and fun" which will help build their on brand. "I think they would be a great team if they find something interesting to do together," she continued. However, she warned Brooklyn of the damaging issues he may discover if he continues his blanket silence approach to his family woes. "Silence is extremely damaging because silence in itself is a statement," Jane said. "When there is all kinds of criticism and he's not saying anything it's the same as saying 'yes, that's right'. People will just assume that if it wasn't true he would say something, so the silence is compliance. "I also think that honesty is the best policy - people love it when celebrities show humanity and fighting with your family is something everyone can relate to. So is making up with them. So is saying 'this is private family matter and we appreciate you letting us figure it out ourselves'. ‌ "Anything other than silence and anything remotely relatable, would likely help his situation and bring people on to his side." Brooklyn continues to shun his family, especially his dad who has had a number of big accolades to celebrate in recent months. The feud first rose to attention when Nicola and Brooklyn failed to appear at any of David's lavish 50th birthday parties. ‌ Then rumours intensified as they also opted to ignore his knighthood news. And while the former England footballer's other sons paid gushing Father's Day tributes, Brooklyn once again opted to say nothing publicly. While Brooklyn chose to ignore his dad on the special day, David thanked his "buster" and told him he loved him and would 'be there no matter what'. Nicola also shared praise of her father in a sweet post to mark the occasion. She called her dad Nelson he "greatest dad in the world" in her Instagram post. Sharing a photo of the pair, she wrote: "Happy Father's Day to the greatest dad in the world. I am so lucky to be your daughter I love you more than you will ever know. "Thank you for always being my constant support I love you beyond words. Happy Father's Day dad."
