Surfshark won't log your data – it's been confirmed for a second time

Surfshark has had its no-logs policy audited for a second time, and it has been confirmed that the provider does not log or track your online activity. Verified no-logs policies are a must-have for the best VPNs, and the frequency of audits was something of a negative for Surfshark in recent years – a second successful audit of its no-logs policy is therefore welcomed. The assessment was completed by Deloitte and sees Surfshark continuing to operate high privacy standards. Surfshark's systems and internal processes were thoroughly examined. Deloitte conducted staff interviews and reviewed various server types, including standard, static, and multiport VPN servers. The provider's server configuration and deployment processes were looked at, with privacy-related settings and procedures also inspected. All this was compared to what Surfshark says in its privacy policy and it was confirmed that the two align. Deloitte's audit found that Surfshark's no-logs policy applies to all applicable servers and infrastructure, and is enforced consistently and effectively. Surfshark has said that the full report, titled ISAE 3000, can be read by all Surfshark users by navigating to their Surfshark account. "In an era where digital privacy is constantly threatened, independent verification is a crucial pillar of trust for any digital services," said Donatas Budvytis, Chief Technology Officer at Surfshark. "This assessment demonstrates Surfshark's proactive approach to privacy, showing that we are continually seeking ways to fulfill our promise of not tracking nor monitoring our users' activity." "Having Deloitte, one of the Big Four auditing firms, reconfirming that is a big confirmation of privacy and transparency to our current and future users." Surfhark sits at number two in our best VPN list and also takes the crown for the fastest VPN, best streaming VPN, and best cheap VPN. But in recent months, privacy and security has been a big focus of the provider. In April, Surfshark launched its own public DNS service. Default DNS providers, dubbed the "phonebook" of the internet, are provided by your internet service provider. Without a VPN, your DNS queries may be tracked and logged and they pose a privacy concern. Surfshark is the first company to launch a privacy-focused public DNS and your data will never be logged, tracked, or shared. At the beginning of June, Surfshark Everlink was launched. This was described as an "industry-first self-healing server infrastructure" and aims to create a more reliable and stable VPN connection. It revives a dropped VPN connection automatically and makes sure your data is never left unprotected. We test and review VPN services in the context of legal recreational uses. For example: 1. Accessing a service from another country (subject to the terms and conditions of that service). 2. Protecting your online security and strengthening your online privacy when abroad. We do not support or condone the illegal or malicious use of VPN services. Consuming pirated content that is paid-for is neither endorsed nor approved by Future Publishing.

Surfshark VPN now costs £1.59 as summer sale drops price

A VPN is essential for travellers, ensuring data is kept private and secure no matter where they are in the world Cybersecurity brand Surfshark has slashed the price of its VPN (Virtual Private Network) plans in time for travellers heading off on their summer holidays. A VPN ensures data is kept private and secure, no matter where someone is in the world. It also unblocks UK-specific websites and services such as BBC iPlayer, ensuring travellers don't miss out on their favourite shows or sporting action due to tracking or censorship issues. A VPN safeguards user privacy by encrypting data from devices such as laptops and smartphones. Surfshark has more than 3,200 servers located in 100 countries that the VPN can use to change a device's IP address to anywhere in the world. This includes the US, UK, Australia and in Europe. The cheapest plan is the Surfshark Starter, which currently has an 87% discount. It now costs £1.59 a month, totalling £42.93 for the first 27 months, a huge reduction from the usual £331.83 cost. This plan includes a secure VPN, ad and cookie pop-up blockers, a constantly changing IP address, and can be used on unlimited devices at the same time. This package also comes with a bonus three-month period. It's worth noting that the Surfshark Starter plan does not include antivirus protection. Travellers looking for a VPN that includes this will want to check out the Surfshark One plan. This package costs £1.99 a month, totalling £53.73 over a 27-month period. This is significantly cheaper than the usual £369.63 price tag and includes antivirus, alert, search and alternative ID services. This package can prevent ad companies and bots from tracking online activity and detect and remove viruses and malware in real time. Plus, it will send alerts if an email address appears in breached online databases. There are other VPN options on the market, including NordVPN that offers more than double the number of servers when compared to Surfshark. However, this comes at a higher cost, with its Basic plan priced at £2.39 per month. Another alternative is ExpressVPN which is said to be easier to use than other services, but it's also more expensive for its 24-month plan. Daily Express tech writer Chris Hall compared the three services and was impressed overall with Surfshark for its 'great value', plus the ability to use it across several devices. Chris explained: "Surfshark offers great value for money, and that's one of the big attractions. It's actually owned by the people behind NordVPN, but this is their budget offering, not that the features are lacking. "There are apps for a wide range of devices, but Surfshark doesn't put a limit on the number of devices on the same contract, so you can sign in across all your devices, making sure your whole family is protected." It's worth noting that Chris highlights a slight downside: " Surfshark has fewer servers than some of its rivals and can sometimes be a little slower, but unless you're moving huge amounts of data around, that's unlikely to be a problem." Surfshark boasts an impressive overall rating of 4.5 out of five from over 26,000 Trustpilot reviewers. One happy customer wrote: "The VPN works flawlessly, is easy to use and has good value." Another Surfshark user noted: "Since using Surfshark, my mobile works much slower and has trouble loading and using some websites." However, another buyer left a five-star review: "Easy to use, but still have not used it to its full potential. Have had no issues with it and have been happy."

Why This Budget-Friendly VPN & Antivirus Combo Is Blowing Up

A VPN is an excellent option for enhancing your online privacy and security. Meanwhile, virus protection is always welcome if you're an avid trouble avoider. While these two rarely mix, when they do, it's always noteworthy. Surfshark, one of the most revered VPNs this year, offers a feature-rich bundle. It features a VPN service with virus protection for all devices for a pocket-change price. The offer is time-limited, so you should act quickly. Get Surfshark + Antivirus At 86% Off VPN + Antivirus at 86% Off With Surfshark Surfshark offers plenty of cost-efficient plans, but one stood out to us as the best. Namely, the Surfshark One plan, which is now 86% off, costs only $2.49 for 27 months. At only $67 for the initial period, it offers a VPN service and virus protection. This plan has been very popular. However, with the recent price reduction and the addition of three free months, it became an even more attractive option. It's no wonder that so many people switch to it without hesitation. Unlike some of its competitors, Surfshark's antivirus works on all devices, just like its VPN. Thanks to unlimited simultaneous connections, Surfshark allows you to keep all devices in check with one cheap subscription. Even better, the provider offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, should you decide to back out. This gives you ample time to grab the exclusive offer and essentially test Surfshark for free for a month, without losing a cent. All you have to do is click one of the buttons, pick the Surfshark One plan, and install the VPN on your device. Once connected, you'll enjoy a new privacy dimension, more online freedom, and top-of-the-line security. Spend Less, Enjoy More With this VPN The current promotion leaves no stone unturned. Surfshark is popular for streaming, while all servers are equipped with P2P support for unlimited torrenting adventures. One of its key aspects is privacy. Surfshark refrains from storing logs and uses RAM-only servers to wipe clean all data with a single server restart. Furthermore, Surfshark has built its reputation on innovative security features. You can expect beefier encryption with Dynamic MultiHop, a kill switch to prevent data leaks, and perfect forward secrecy for enhanced safety. Surfshark's One plan also includes an Alternative ID, which provides a new online identity. Plus, you can use its Search function to browse the web without data tracking and ads. As stated in our Surfshark review, the provider also includes obfuscation via NoBorders, making it a handy option for bypassing censorship. Refresh yourself from the onslaught of the summer heat.
