But these were the exception rather than the rule. In fact, the Gazzetta note, beyond those two European strikes, Thuram has scored just three times in 2025. Moreover, as Thuram's substitute appearance against Monterrey showed, there is a real lack of sharpness to the France international's play. It is hard to avoid the impression that Thuram is playing within himself due to his physical condition.

Olympique de Marseille have announced the appointment of Alessandro Antonello as the club's new chief executive officer, with the 59-year-old Italian set to take office on July 1st. Antonello brings with him a wealth of experience from a decade at Inter Milan, where he successively held roles as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and most recently CEO. His time at the Serie A giants coincided with a successful era that included two league titles, two Coppa Italia wins, and three Supercoppa Italiana triumphs. Advertisement In a statement released by the club, Antonello described OM as a 'unique club' with 'rare passion and ambition in European football,' pledging to devote all his energy to supporting Pablo Longoria's 'long-term project'. PSG have a European Treble to show for their efforts. On the other hand, Inter and Real Madrid finished the campaign empty-handed, as their constant efforts perhaps hindered their pursuit of trophies.
