Hideo Kojima doesn't really go for half measures. Following a 10-minute trailer that unveiled some early details, the game creator participated in a beefy 80-minute panel discussion with Geoff Keighley about Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on the final day of Summer Games Fest 2025. The wide-ranging conversation included some clips from the sequel to the acclaimed Death Stranding , including its first five minutes, which sparked lots of cheers as people recognized performers' names in the opening credits. Kojima also showed the English language version of a scene that was revealed during the Tokyo Game Show, highlighting the performances of Elle Fanning as Tomorrow and Shioli Kutsuna as Rainy. Fans also got a chance to see Tomorrow in action as she literally gets down and dirty in the tar to take out some robotic combatants. There was also a live gameplay demo, first showing Sam in combat with a blood boomerang and a tar cannon, then a more challenging fight against Neil that showed off some stealth attacks as well as some more weaponry. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be available on PlayStation 5 starting June 26.

Resident Evil 9 Coming To Summer Games Fest, Insider Claims
An insider claim suggests that Resident Evil 9 is likely to be announced at Summer Games Fest 2025, which is scheduled to take place later this week. With Summer Game Fest 2025 on the horizon, a new claim is offering hope to Resident Evil fans who have been eagerly awaiting news of the next entry. A reliable insider known for sharing Resident Evil information, Dusk Golem, has stated that Resident Evil 9 will be revealed at this year's Summer Game Fest. While publisher Capcom has not confirmed or teased anything officially, speculation around a possible sequel announcement continues to grow. As reported by Insider Gaming, Dusk Golem tweeted they are '95 per cent positive' that Resident Evil 9 will be unveiled at the event. The insider clarified they have not spoken to anyone directly involved in the game's development and have not received confirmation of the announcement. They emphasized that while no source has definitively confirmed the reveal, there is 'a lot of buzz in the grapevine' and 'a lot of rumblings' behind the scenes. So far, Dusk Golem's claims appear to be based on instinct and deductive reasoning rather than concrete evidence. The insider points to increased activity on Capcom's social media accounts as a potential sign of an upcoming announcement. In previous tweets, Dusk Golem also suggested that Resident Evil 9 will be an open-world title and has discussed possible reveal and release windows. According to DuskGolem's previous tweet, Resident Evil 9 will 'almost undoubtedly be revealed this year' and will be released in 2026. However, they were unsure whether the game would be revealed in fiscal year 2025 or 2026. At the same time, they felt there would be no more delays as the game had already been delayed twice. Resident Evil 4 Remake was the last release in the franchise, released in 2023. Resident Evil 8, or its proper title, Resident Evil Village, was the last sequel title in the series—released in 2021. Based on release dates, I could support Dusk Golem's claims too. There has been enough gap years for Capcom to tease their next zombie virus-fighting installment. It is possible to see a small teaser at Summer Games Fest 2025, with a release window in 2026 or 2027. Like most rumours, this information should be taken with a grain of salt, and the Summer Games Fest on June 6th will reveal whether Capcom will reveal Resident Evil 9.

Summer Games Fest 2025: Marvel's Deadpool VR Features Voice of Neil Patrick Harris
Marvel's Deadpool VR made its debut at Summer Games Fest 2025, revealing a deep look into the gameplay with a new trailer. Marvel's Deadpool VR made its debut at Summer Games Fest 2025, revealing a deep look into the gameplay with a new trailer. The game will be out exclusively on the Meta Quest 3 and 3S. The game is created by Twisted Pixel and Oculus Studios, in collaboration with Marvel Games. One of the coolest parts of this title is that the titular character will be voiced by Neil Patrick Harris aka NPH. Finally, a chance to slip inside Deadpool's sweaty skintight suit and really become the Merc with a Mouth in all his flippy-shooty-off-the-wall glory. Marvel's Deadpool VR features an all-new original story. After being pulled through a portal toMojoworld, Deadpool sees a chance to get rich—like really rich. He signs a sketchy contract withoutreading any of the fine print (almost like his dealings in the recent third Deadpool film) and then it's off to visit a bunch of locations from across the Marvel Universe, battling against iconic (and not-so-iconic) villains. It's real metaverse stuff—in the Marvel Universe sense, not the VR one. Twisted Pixel spent years capturing Deadpool's unique blend of parkour and combat, building onthe beat-em-up bona fides it established in Path of the Warrior. Players will be able to do all the fun and dangerous things Deadpool gets into, from simple stabs to punching someone while holding a grenade. You can even throw around severed limbs. Woah! Yuck! The possibilities are almsot endless. Deadpool VR will release later this year on Meta Quest 3 and 3S. Fans can check out the blog for updates.

Tire Boy is a wacky open-world adventure game you can tread all over
One of the best things about an indie game showcase is that you'll see at least one preview that makes you think "huh?" and "lol!" in equal parts. For the Day of the Devs presentation at Summer Games Fest 2025, Tire Boy definitely fits the bill. Mechanics-wise, it's an open-world action-adventure game, which is pretty standard fare. However, like the name says, you play it all out as a tiny anthropomorphized tire. It looks super goofy, but in a way that might also be super great. The trio from GameTeam6 who presented the early build of the game explained that they wanted to do some odd things with scale in the world, and that's definitely been accomplished. Most other characters tower over little Tire Boy, whether they're a friendly owl, an enemy frog or just a really big heckin bunny. But there's also some sweetness promised as Tire Boy tries to uncover the secrets of his past and his tire people. It's the sort of wacky combination that can be a lot of fun in practice. To view this content, you'll need to update your privacy settings. Please click here and view the "Content and social-media partners" setting to do so. The studio has a ways to go before it's ready to play; they didn't suggest any time frames for a demo or release window, but Tire Boy can be wishlisted on Steam if you want to keep tabs on this quirky project.
