CBS High temperatures across the state today are expected to climb well above average, with triple-digit heat in Eastern Colorado and across the Denver metro area. If you're looking to beat the heat, head up to the high country, but know that it will still be warmer than normal for mountain neighborhoods as highs climb into the 80s, and even 90s for some. CBS The heat is prompting Heat Advisories for both Friday and Saturday for the Denver area, Northern Colorado, and the Eastern plains. The Heat Advisories will go into effect each day at 11 a.m. and remain in place until 6 p.m. The heat will be the most dangerous during that time frame each day. CBS Fire danger will remain high in Western Colorado throughout the weekend, with dry, warm, and windy conditions expected in the region. Winds for some could gust as high as 50 mph. Bose upgraded the adaptive ANC on its new QuietComfort Ultra earbuds
Bose has announced upgraded QuietComfort Ultra wireless earbuds with better adaptive ANC that can more smoothly adapt to sudden spikes in noise. The QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Gen) are expected to be available through Bose's online store starting later this summer for $299 in black, white smoke, and deep plum color options. The new earbuds carry over the original version's calibration technology, which personalizes the audio and ANC to the shape of your ear, but enhances it with an updated AI algorithm that makes changes in ANC levels subtler while using the awareness mode. The ANC will more gradually increase in response to the sounds of a passing siren, for example, so it doesn't drown out what you're listening to. Bose says the upgraded QuietComfort Ultra earbuds leverage technology originally developed for hearing aids to improve call quality by reducing background noises like wind or the murmur of a busy office. Battery life remains the same at up to 24 hours when paired with the charging case, which can now be topped up with a wireless charger. The earbuds also introduce a new guard that reduces wax build up and makes them easier to clean, and you now have the option to disable capacitive touch controls to prevent accidental inputs. The company is also upgrading its SoundLink Micro Bluetooth speaker with a 2nd gen model that's expected to be available later this summer for $129 in black and blue dusk color options. Its most welcome upgrade is a USB-C charging port, but existing users could be tempted by a big bump in battery life from six to 12 hours, clearer sound at higher frequencies, and compatibility with Bose's mobile app for customizing the function of its shortcuts buttons and adjusting its sound profile using an EQ. Additionally, Bose is announcing an entirely new portable Bluetooth speaker called the SoundLink Plus that will be a more premium offering when it launches on June 26th. It's already available for preorder for $269 in black and blue dusk color options, while a new citrus yellow color can be preordered starting on June 18th. The speaker features a single subwoofer and tweeter paired with four passive radiators that can be enjoyed for up to 20 hours between charges. It has an IP67 waterproof rating which means it can be submerged a few feet for up to 30 minutes but can float so it will survive indefinitely if it ends up in the drink.

The stars line up, and in front of them they can see six hearts with short dating profiles of the boys - including name, age, height, job, and then a playful line about their dating styles and hopes for the future. The girls then have to decide, based on the profiles, who they'd like to couple up with. They have a bit of time to chat, before Maya counts to three and the girls run over to the hearts, each picking one boy each. It's at this moment that the boys come out to discover who they've been coupled up with. It's set to be an explosive start to Love Island this series, as a girl has already been booted out of the Love Island villa in the series' first savage twist. Host Maya Jama has said the summer will be packed with big surprises - and this is the first. The female Islander was 'absolutely gutted' to be first out and has already left the villa after the early shake-up. But viewers have been warned this won't follow the usual Love Island playbook. How about this heavyweight matchup between two action icons in The Old Guard 2? In one corner sits Charlize Theron, a powerful force who conquered the Wasteland in Mad Max: Fury Road and survived as a secret agent in Atomic Blonde. Facing off against Theron is Uma Thurman, a pioneer in the genre who became an icon for playing The Bride in Kill Bill. This summer, Theron and Thurman square off in The Old Guard 2, the fantasy sci-fi adventure on Netflix. In the trailer, Andy (Theron) adjusts to life without her immortality. Quynh (Veronica Ngô) has escaped her underwater prison, and Booker (Matthias Schoenaerts) remains in exile after his betrayal. Andy and her team — including Nile (KiKi Layne), Joe (Marwan Kenzari), Nicky (Luca Marinelli), and James Copley (Chiwetel Ejiofor) — enlist the guidance of Tuah (Henry Golding), an old friend who may have the answers to immortality. The super team needs all the help to defeat Discord (Thurman), the very first immortal and Andy's former foe. 'I will destroy everything you stand for with a power you can't even imagine,' Discord says before squaring off against Andy. Victoria Mahoney directs The Old Guard 2 from a screenplay by Greg Rucka, based on the graphic novels by Rucka and illustrator Leandro Fernandez. The movie is an action sequel to The Old Guard directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood. Released on Netflix in July 2020, The Old Guard received positive reviews for its action, direction, and lead performances. Netflix hopes the sequel will be a hit, as the streamer searches to create more franchises. The five-year gap between movies could be an issue in drumming up interest for a sequel. Quality always wins out, and if The Old Guard 2 is well-received, it will attract a strong audience. The Old Guard 2 has a prime summer release date of July 2 on Netflix. Until then, fans can stream The Old Guard.
