Manitowoc County man with revoked license arrested for 5th OWI, charged with THC possession
APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – A Manitowoc County man with a revoked license was arrested on his 5th OWI charge after a 9 a.m. traffic stop last Friday. A release from the Wisconsin State Patrol states that during a traffic safety enforcement around 9:10 a.m. on Friday, June 13, a trooper stopped a vehicle on North Richmond Street and West Lindbergh Street in Appleton. During the traffic stop, 39-year-old Michael Chanthavong of Reedsville was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 5th offense, after the trooper noticed signs of impairment. One victim shot in the leg, Oconto County deputies investigating disturbance After an investigation that included Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, Chanthavong was taken to a local hospital for an evidentiary blood draw and then transported to the Outagamie County Jail. Authorities noted that Chanthavong was also charged with possession of THC/marijuana and operating after revocation of his driver's license. No additional details were provided. South Windsor man charged with drinking while driving wrong way on Route 5
SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — A South Windsor man was arrested early Friday morning after police say he drove the wrong way on Route 5 while intoxicated. Simon M. Muriithi, 22, was charged with operating under the influence, driving the wrong way on a divided highway, operating a motor vehicle without a license, and drinking while driving. Serious injuries reported after South Windsor woman is run over by car in driveway The charges stem from just after 1 a.m. when officers saw Muriithi's vehicle exit a parking lot on John Fitch Boulevard/Route 5 and start driving northbound in the southbound lanes. The vehicle was seen correcting itself at the next median break. It was around there, an officer pulled Muriithi over. During the stop, officers believed he was under the influence of alcohol. Police said he failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and they determined he had no license and was drinking while driving. What we know A Wisconsin State Trooper stopped a vehicle for speeding northbound on I-94 at County Highway K in Racine County. When speaking with the driver, the trooper observed the driver's slurred speech and the odor of intoxicants. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were completed, and the driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 7th offense. A warrant was obtained to complete a legal blood draw, and the subject was booked into the Racine County Jail without incident. Norwood male arrested for alleged tampering with evidence and DWI
NORWOOD, N.Y. (WWTI) – A 44-year-old Norwood man is facing multiple charges after an alleged incident early Monday morning. Just before 1:30 a.m. Monday, state troopers observed a gray 2008 Toyota Tundra traveling on State Route 56 operated by Thomas French. A search of the vehicle's registration revealed it had been suspended. During the interview with French, the driver, the authorities noticed signs of impairment. They administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which French failed. While interacting with French, a plastic bag fell from him, and he attempted to cover it with his foot and press it into the ground. The Troopers retrieved the bag and later tested the substance inside, which was determined to be cocaine. French was charged with driving while intoxicated, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. He was arrested and transported to the station police station in Massena for processing. French provided a positive breath sample of .10% BAC. Cervantes' toxicology report shows no measurable amount of drugs, alcohol
( — The toxicology results for Senator Sabrina Cervantes (D-Riverside) were 'negative for any measurable amount of alcohol or drugs,' according to the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office. Video Above: State Senator Sabrina Cervantes speaks out on DUI allegations Cervantes was cited in Sacramento last Monday for suspicion of DUI after being involved in a car crash. 'We have reviewed all the submitted evidence, including police reports, witness statements, and laboratory results,' office officials said. ' Based on our ethical duty and the burden of proof in a criminal trial, the Sacramento County DA's Office declines to file any charges in this case.' Cervantes made a statement after the allegations, claiming her innocence and accusing Sacramento Police Department officers of accosting her. The Public Information Officer for SPD claims there were no indications Cervantes was accosted after reviewing officers' body camera footage. In a statement released by SPD, officials claim that Cervantes declined to perform a Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, after officers observed signs of intoxication from the senator.
