$60K in illegal cigarettes seized in central Alberta

Olds RCMP say $60,000 worth of illegal cigarettes were seized after an investigation into a speeding vehicle.
Officers received reports of an erratic driver on Highway 2 at 9 a.m. on Sunday, June 8.
The driver was reportedly travelling over 150 km/h, almost side-swiped another vehicle, passed others unsafely and had veered into other lanes of traffic.

Officers stopped the vehicle and discovered the illegal cigarettes.
A 37-year-old Spruce Grove man was arrested and faces two charges.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 25.
